You should be good with the 7 3/4 I have a 14mm 7 1/4 and my wrist measures about 6 3/4 it fits me a lil more snug then his which is how I like it. It has a lil play to it but not to much I can fit just the very tip of my index finger in between the bracelet and my wrist it's a perfect fit in my opinion

Hi, no its a known thing to check to make sure each link is perfectly straight Because with cheaper made ones (since each link is hand made) somtimes a link can be off and cause the bracelet to sit incorrectly thats why you check to see if it lays flat or turns in any spot
