I am a 65 yr old female, nearly 6 years carnivore and in the best health if my life, healing many disorders. HS-CRP under 1, fasting insulin is 3, BP 100/ 60, high HDL low TG, AST/ALT in the low 20's and low teens, I could go on detailing my excellent labs (which I order myself). I see no docs, I take no pharma or supplements. Every disease you mention is associated with insulin resistance due to carb consumption. Nothing to do with genetics. I will never have another scan or mammogram again.

Love the good knowledge you present🎈🎈🎈. What should a typical Estradiol number should be at 73 yrs old? I’m on estradiol patches 0.1 mg twice a week & estrogen level was 38.8 which is low, but began horses a few mos. ago.

I'd like to add something about 'PMDD'.... All my menstruating life I had very predictable periods & mild PMS. Then, don't remember exactly at what age, maybe late 30s early 40s I turned into a raging bitch. Was able to find a clinic to do hormone testing & found out I had low progesterone. They prescribed a natural P suppository for 2 weeks in the cycle & it was like magic! It lined me out & I was normal again. That awakened me to bio-HRT...

I refuse a mammograms, heard it’s too much radiation……what do you think about thermography?

My doctor would not order a CAC test. She says I have zero risk. I would pay for it myself. My colonoscopy, mammogram is great. Over 60. I just started hormone therapy.

You need a new doctor but it’s never covered by insurance

It really frosts me that Drs refuse tests that you ask for. Are they paying for it??? NO. & you really don't know what's going on, with anything!, unless you test. I got a CAC last Dec & paid out of pocket. Then surprisingly a couple of months ago I got a refund. I have no idea why 🤷‍♀

Most don’t do hormone replacement because if the insane cost! Not covered by health insurance,, it’s all out of pocket , they have women over a barrel when it comes to hormones..

Generic estradiol and micronized progesterone are very affordable with the GoodRx coupon. Mark Cuban online pharmacy is also recommended. You generally don’t need name brands. Generic versions are fine.

Maybe shop different compounding pharmacies? I take compounded Estradiol & Testosterone, & for 2 wks/mo a sustained release P capsule. Right now I pay $187 for a 3 month supply of everything. I think that's pretty reasonable to stay hot, healthy & horny as you age. But here's the game that insurance cos play.... My pharmacy told me that the individual ingredients to compound the meds are FDA approved, but the final product is not. What kind of sense does that make??? Maybe Dr. Shawn can shed light on that...

I've no idea what my elevated B12 level of 700+ means and I wonder if it's to do with the 5mm lesion on my liver. UA-cam seems to render everything down to cancer and don't know what to think about it.

It’s basically a compounded lozenge that one puts inside the mouth between the cheek and gums, or under one’s tongue.

Could you comment on endocrine disrupters? Have women through the ages suffered with menopause like women today? Is there any data?

Dr Shawn… I have been in contact with your office …. I did the lab work but I cannot get a response back after sending over the final labs. Side note: it took 3 blood draws and lots of confusion on my end so it has been since June trying to get an appointment. I will call next week but would just like a confirmation that the labs have been received.
