150 miles? Not sure the speed it runs, but has to be a long ride at about 20kn. The Hudson is my goto and it’s about a 2.5-3hr ride depending on conditions. Good tile fishing when things slow down as well. However, the Carteret was producing well last week 😉
Head boats for offshore fishing are fun for the novice. Definitely recommend. Also, for any novice watching this video, please do not buy into the "Grunden gear." Does it work? Sure. Buy yourself some carhartt bibs with a pair of insulated boots. 99% of those people you see on the head boats wearing all of the "name brand gear" just buy into the hype. No need for it.
Grundens is good if you do it for a living like the mates. When I see guys wearing grundens bibs and Xtratuf boots fishing for porgies I find it hilarious. But for avid offshore fisherman you need the best gear. And Grundens is the best.
@kristikinkel8803 again, if you're shelling out $800 for a trip, $60 isn't ridiculous to be clothed correctly. Anyone saying otherwise is just hating for no reason
As someone who fishes the Helen-H often with my home in western NY on Lake Erie. Grundens are not overrated. I wear mine in spring crappie, walleye and summer walleye and salmon. They clean easy and always dry.
Video says October but I appreciate this extra footage since I signed up for a trip in sept with them
That was an awesome video.
On! Howdy?~ Yeah- you made nice trip. adios! 🤩
You guys put on a slaughter fest on the tunies. Alot of good video action. 👍👍
Any videos of their windfarm 10 hour Mahi Mahi/Tuna Trips?

Grundens is worth the hype.

Everyone of their videos is repeat. I feel like they never innovate or find new captains
