Tossed an a-rig for the first time last weekend. Looks like I did it all wrong 😂. Cold waters in the 40s, using a non bladed Shane’s (only one I have). Oh well, I’ll keep slow rolling it from the yak until that rod gets back to frogs come June.

#100percentwatchsquad I just lost my last A-rig the other day. Got it snagged on some deep timber and lost the rig, 5 1/8oz Angler Tungsten heads and 5 Keitech swimbaits. So that was a sting to the ol' wallet, lol! At least I caught a couple nice porkers on it first.
Yeah I don’t use those higher end head on an arig. I also would use that 3wire arig from Yum
Too expensive when they get hung up on something .
Watched tv shows years ago where guys had special pvc long pipes made to unhook them.
Way up here in Ontario, we are only allowed 4 hooks . Our neighbour province Quebec only
Allows 3 hooks . So a few have tried it here but it never caught on
If ya know how to do it they really will get themselves loose most of the time

I've only had the chance to throw an a rig once. It wasn't the right time for the lake I was fishing ig. I hammered the pike on it but they wouldn't let the bass get a word in edge wise.

I use lite wire hooks, i can rip it off a tree or rock and stratein them out,bend 'um back and keep going.
I like them around cover and heavy in open water
