TRAPPIN' AIN'T DEAD - [CHECK #8] - MIXED BAG TRAP LINE - (BIG OTTER + COONS) -

What's going on UA-cam?!?! The trap line is starting to slow down a little.. but catches are still trickling in. I lucked up on a BIG male river otter at my friend's pond, and also caught several coons. I also show you guys a TON of otter sign at ANOTHER pond I decided to go set. I will keep you updated on what all we catch at the BIG pond!!!

If the slides are dry most of the week. and then wet for only a day or so, it's an active otter slide. Slides that are wet almost everyday are beaver slides, but trash pandas will use both on a regular basis. If you can, I would put a 220 on the slides and anchor it about 2ft off to the side of the top. If you can't use Body Grips on land then put a 1 1/2 blind set to weed them out, also otter usually travel together so a double on the same slide is possible.

Noted!!! I ran out of season before catching any otters at the BIG pond where I had all those drowning sets. I lucked up on several beavers out of that particular pond.. but no otters. It's surprising, the two smaller ponds I caught otters in this season, there was minimal otter sign.. and the one BIG pond with the MOST otter sign.. I caught NO otters!!! Crazy how that worked out. lol
