Well done, I use a smaller, deeper, plywood box, about 14". Trigger wires are bent inward to avoid paw grabs. Because the box is a close fit, I have a notch cut out for trigger mechanism clearance. Like yours it catches them right behind the ears. Last night I set it on the roof, screwed the chain down, and put the box's closed end against a 1'- 2"x10" sitting in the gutter, with the open end facing towards the roof's peak. 20 min later there was a raccoon hanging mid air. It was instant as yours would have been.
Honestly, you would have to see these little buggers work. Very tenacious and durable. Caught them on camera repeatedly accessing this space. It's crazy what they are capable of doing at -20' C.
@@JEFFALLENOFFTHEGRIDIRON Just bought a 220 Duke and was a bit surprised that it wouldn’t fit the darn bucket unless buckets at Menards are weirdly sized. The trap seems about as tough to set as a 330 but smaller so I don’t think the trap was mislabeled.
Thank you for sharing. This video was genius 😊 caught the raccoon hours later thank you. 🙏
Tks for sharing your experience. I am myself managing 2-3 racoons for a friend, I am a beginner, and I enjoy it very much so far!
Thanks. Be safe.

Well, look at the place. It’s rundown man. No wonder they have raccoons there. They probably been in there for for about 10 years.😊
Old widow friend of family. Just passed away. But thanks for your keen eye and words of wisdom.
Thanks for the sharing !!!
Excellent...
There are approximately 40 coons per square mile in the USA.
What brand of conibear traps do you like?
Belisle
Mezmur
Ripped off siding and living in a crawl space ? Sounds like Tweekers to me !!

excellent
Thanks JJ
Great video! I have the same issue going on with raccoon I have a 280 Duke would that be good for the raccoon?
Depending on your local trapping laws, a duke 280 may be permitted and would definitely do the job.
In WI, the square inches of that trap would need to be set in water where it's AT LEAST 1/2 submerged. So make sure that your local laws allow it!
I bought a 220 Duke and it’s to large for a 5 gallon pail, probably need a 160.
Odd.. I was sure it was a 220. I'll have to check. Thanks for the comment. Perhaps my pail was larger.

His bucket was square at the opening...
His trap is a 220, I have one myself.
Better not have a cat/dog around with that setup
Absolutely a precaution I took. Gated private yard.
