I know this is an older video but if anyone sees this comment i have two questions! How do you tie the rope that snares the animal, what knot would i use to make it tighten when triggered? And is the other end of the rope tied to like a tree branch or something that springs back up when the little stick is released for the 7 cut stick? Thanks for any answers i might get ❤
you just can use a simple slip knot for the loop that will tighten around the animal and the other end is tied to the branch in any good knot you wish. you can type in slip knot on google or youtube and see how they do it. some make it quite confusing and some really don't even slip when finished. You can buy from survival outlets wire snares already made up as well.
It would depend on the animal. peanut butter, carrots, nuts, and I suppose dead rodents or fish parts to catch larger prey. could use spot of pitch to hold it on as well.
Excellent, I hate the 14 step snare. I might actually be able to make this one. Thanks you.
This looks so simple and effective! Thanks!
I’ve never seen the 7 notch used this way, I like it
yeah, easy to make
@@kenc3630 I’m probably going to start me another channel but on bushcraft and primitive thing
@@sketchyplays2591 good deal

@@bushcraftoregon wow thank you so much for the quick and informative reply!!!! This helps me a lot!
That's cool I love this I'm still learning trying to trap rabbits and squirrels and chipmunks
I gotta stick about 6 3/4” long! Nice video!!!!
Well the only thing you forgot to do was prove that it actually works you can talk it up all you want but don’t mean nothing without proof!
yep, you're right but don't like squirrels and don't want to kill them to see if it works. Will have to try for a rabbit though.
Common sense goes a long way, duh.
Well it definitely works... you're just learning the wrong topic for your own good
@@Mike-tf9rx you can’t talk about something you don’t have yourself Mike
Awesome share! 👌🏻👏🏻
Thanks for posting. I have a waskally wabbit that I need to catch and this looks like it will do it.
I like your idea I think I'm going to try that with a double snare in case if the rodents comes from the other side
Good idea
ive been teaching my grandson these simple traps
billy joe
He's very lucky, wish I had a family member to teach me! These UA-cam videos are great though. Good luck
Nice Ken! I did a similar one a while back. It is a nice setup
What kind of knot do you use? @ghosthonda
just a slip knot
Noice i get plenty of rabbits around here
What kind of bait do you use?
It would depend on the animal. peanut butter, carrots, nuts, and I suppose dead rodents or fish parts to catch larger prey. could use spot of pitch to hold it on as well.
Hi I like this I’ll try it
good deal
Definitely not legal in my state, but cool nonetheless. In a survival situation I would use it anyway.
yeah, in your last statement that is the idea.
Only if ya get caught
In a survival situation the only laws are live or die. 😂😂😂
Nice will try it
One of the easier snares I have found
Nice and Easy .
yep; good that way
Yes, thanks
Nice thanks😊
What kind of knot is it?
@noahboll it looks like a common slip knot to me. You'll find a 30 second video on youtube on how to do one! 🗝🙏🏼👣
Nice Good job
We will use them in the apocalypse 😂🤣
Easy. Thanks!
Brilliant 👍
Hare trigger😊.

You're an expert but don't know the name of your thing... Oh dear.
can't remember who introduced it in the first place but you can make a name up :)
Who cares, aslong as the trap works
Tbh, him not knowing the name only makes me think he's known how to do it for a long time lol
AB !!
