4:08 What Trump missed in assessing Balnazzar is that while the greatest benefit of a 29 card deck is felt by combo decks, the deck type that least cares about giving opponent a 5 mana 6/6 (and which also benefits greatly from the decreased deck size) is aggro. You would be very happy if opponent played a 5 mana 6/6 on turn 5 most of the time and increasing the draw consistency of your most powerful cards can also be greatly beneficial.

It'd probably have to be for a very specific couple years where mana cheating is not heavily pushed to prevent turn 1 otks and decks such as Miracle Rogue that makes huge boards and draw their entire deck. Even then, it probably won't be printed since it makes opening hands and going first way more important than it should be and screws over opponents who don't mulligan around that card (which is even more problematic if there's multiple decks of the same class that run and don't run this card; it makes those matchups even more rng) It's also a long term wild problem for the same reasons and while they have banned cards before, they'd have to redesign the card anyway when it rotates out which is a massive headache

7:35 how about that to fix millhouse: 2 mana 4/4 (because its millhouse he needs that) start of game: if both players have this card in their deck, both players start with 10 mana crystals (or if both have it the first card each turn costs 0 mana) I would argue making it like that would fix the issue that aggro would get megacucked by random and if you want to put in a 2 mana 4/4 as an aggro deck you take the gamble that the opponent doesnt also run millhouse and ruins your gameplan which is a neat mindgame in my opinion
I think 1* on Saima was a bit harsh. Saima could simply just have a small, very specific card pool to choose from, which would make it a lot easier to create the card (still would take some extra investment compared to creating other cards, but not that much more than creating a new mechanic).
The amount of times I've seen Customhearthstone overrate the power of lowing your deck's effective size by 1 is stupid. I would argue making it like that would fix the issue that aggro would get megacucked by random and if you want to put in a 2 mana 4/4 as an aggro deck you take the gamble that the opponent doesnt also run millhouse and ruins your gameplan which is a neat mindgame in my opinion
I think 1* on Saima was a bit harsh. Saima could simply just have a small, very specific card pool to choose from, which would make it a lot easier to create the card (still would take some extra investment compared to creating other cards, but not that much more than creating a new mechanic).
The smaller it is the easier it is to predict, making the gimmick even dumber since everyone doesn't even need to think about the riddle anymore
If he has a small pool, then he isn't suddently very wise. I'd say anyone who upvoted you isn't either lol.
The amount of times I've seen Customhearthstone overrate the power of lowing your deck's effective size by 1 is stupid. We already have Aquatic Form, a card which can give you an effective "28 card deck" with its 0 mana draw a card effect. And that doesn't have some wild debilitating downside like giving your opponent a 6/6.
Is basically a manathirst effect. And reminder, the card is only in a tier 2 deck because it's not that good to have bricks on early turns.
The secret to Millhouse is that both you and your opponent need to play him in your deck so that you and your buddies can get up to some REALLY crazy shenanigans.
I feel like mimic form should only affect your next or your next two hero powers or something.
WHAT? WHY THE PENGUIN ?
Mimic Form would work if it was "This Turn" or something where it was only one cast.
Temporal Smuggler would be a better name. Love the card idea!
Moral Dilemma is so cool. At worst its a 0 mana 1/1 deal 1 damage, at best its also a 0 mana weapon removal and maybe you can buff the summons with tribal synergys
0 mana 2/2 destroy the oponents weapon.
Sure.
I absolutely CANNOT BELIEVE my luck (or lack thereof) that when I make a custom HS card that is one of the top (if not the top) most upvoted of the week, Trump does a "best of the month" and I miss out, lol
9:10 Totem Hoarder, Totem Historian, Totem Collector
Saima doesn't need to have a sentence for all cards. Somewhere in the range of 30-50 cards would be enough, more is just a bonus.
Trump’s opening is like every student trying to fill a word count on an essay. love it
Wait, the flies Cadaver summons are like risen corpses right? I thought that part was thick because of that reason.
No they're not, in the original card it's not bolded
saima would be a good arena card and probably not even the best pick there, but i do like the idea of discover ANY minion technically
Illegal Smuggler should just be "Totemic Elder" or something to fix the flavour issue.
would be terrible, but I make the Corpsapult a 5/6 but cant attack. so only goes face with the effect.
or make it so it deals 2 damage to two random targets instead?
saima the wise could work if it only pick from the same pool as zephrys
for saima u can just use the descripton/joke thing already on every card in the my collection thing
Imagine mirror matches with that millhouse. All only run high mana cards and they all cost 0
"Totem-loving Timebender" might be a better name for Illegal Smuggler, but it may be a little long.
I feel like you could reduce the first card stats to 3 attack and 5 health, with a cost of 4 and add a "can't attack"
10:55 THAT'S THE POINT
Moral Dilemma is just the Tavern Brawl Trump did a few years ago, with the Snowflipper Penguins and Mortal Coil
I 100% needed to have Trump explain Balnazzar to me.
2 corpses for 5 damage feels weird, should probably be 3 for 3 or something like that, 2 relatable numbers. dunno why 1 flung corpse should do 2.5 damage.
Moral Dilemma really good with Great Hall? I think it is way better with Dun Baldar Bridge
The last one, moral dilema, is really cool, but isn't it like way too good as a weapon removal?
Balnazzar would also be great for mill strategies
Problem with balnazzar is that *everyone* plays it. Now everyone has a 29 card deck and a 5 mana 6/6 from their opponent in their opening hand. It's a completely "free" card to run when absolutely everyone will be running it.
Not necessarily. Like trump mentioned, everybody would have to decide it was worth it
@@greyep3145 Then no one would play it. Is a +0.5 for your opponent, and you NEVER want that unless you want to use fatigue damage, something that card can't do. Is just a very bad disruption.
Honestly, ChatGPT could probably write all the rhymes for Saima the wise.
Moral dilemma is the best card I've ever seen.
Choosing the penguin is a fools move. pali could buff murlocs more easily.
Moral Dilemma is 0 mana weapon removal that has tribe synergy
Always the penguin
Saima the Wise would probably be best of it gave you the expansion release as a clue, and maybe allowed wild cards as a result
What about using Balnazzar in a mill deck
Millhouse, Crazed Genius would be my favourite card when I'm playing miracle rogue, I just get a 30 attack weapon and ghosts that alone kill the player twice with how much attack they have
Imagine mirror matchups with Millhouse
i tought the tumbmail card said : "if this card is in your opponents deck, your opponent draws it"
Penguin? Always attack murlocs! :D
Illegal Smuggler should be called "Old Totem Carver"
Moral dilemma broken alsi with Taunt and After summon buffs
Saima could just have a select pool of cards, might even have been the designer’s intention
He should be a 4 mana 7/7 to be balanced in wild
Wait how is a 0 cost weapon removal balanced? What the heck?
Smuggler could be some kind of a historian.
It is unfortunate about Saima, really really cool idea but yeah, people would just look up the answers and it’d be far too much work to have a bunch of those riddles
Saima the Wise is the kind of card AI could make possible thats pretty cool
