Yeah, of course it's not as good if they can rehearse prior, but doing this cold? Man, even if its not the same quality, its still just as good! Just goes to show what good VAs can do without so much restrictions from directors and such, right?
They all did an amazing job no doubt. I don't like this video because in their stream they even said themselves that when they did the dub it wasn't anything like this where it seems like they were all together doing the dub scenes. Anyways still like the video but just not wholeheartedly
@@Homie-cide Right. I hated 2B's seeming lack of character, and then the more you learn starting at Route C, you realize it's not bad writing or voice acting, it's excellent examples of both. The tricky thing here is that we are SO incredibly used to bad writing and acting. It's understandable to have that kneejerk response, I feel.
I find it both amusing and impressive how she is cosplaying as 2B in this video too. Talk about getting in character.
I don't understand how anyone can not like Kira's 2B. I can't even play the JP version. Even when she's acting cold at the beginning you can tell it's fake. And Kyle's evolution from plucky sidekick to emotionally destroyed is amazing.
A really good peak at just how hard it was for 2B.
I wasn't a huge fan of 2B at first, but she really did strike me with how much she grew on me after realizing why she acts the way she acts, this enhances her character a lot.

Omg, I usually don't write comments but man, your voice acting (all of you) are that great it brings tears to my eyes.
I really appreciate all the work you did.
But I have to say, 9S, i mean Kyle, you put so much love in every line you say it's freaking melting my heart. Every. SIngle. Time. And I usually don't cry 109823 times in one playthrough.
2B, Kira, your voice is so beautiful and matches perfectly to the character. I can feel that you are in love with your character. In love with the game, exactly like I am. Like WE are. Thank you so much for beeing you. (And 2B)

I've read the script before, now I've truly felt the emotion of the FUBAR that 2B faces doing all this terminate-with-extreme-prejudice thingy.

I'm pretty sure 2B would eventually break down just as bad as 9S did, if not worse. Having no choice to kill 9S hundreds of times, (plus 9S showing that he knows what 2B really is for) it wouldn't be surprising if 2B wen't insane like 9S did.
In fact, i'd love to see an alternate take on the game where A2 has to kill 9S over 2B

I think the BotW actors were... alright. Not great, not bad, just... alright. Problem is, for the first game in the series to feature voice acting, let alone the quality of dubs in the current gaming landscape, it _needed_ to knock it out of the park.

You guys probably know about this but the good and bad ending, I think it reflected from your choice during ending D (when 9S' dialogue appeared when he was dying) Adam asked you if you want to go with them. If you chose "I'll stay" it would result to the bad ending however, if you chose "I will go with You" it will result to the good ending (Probably because the "Ark" stored 9S' memories). So the both endings are Canon. But I stumbled upon an article about what Yoko Taro says about the ending "Taro said that when he started making games, he thought that characters like Claim who do all this killing don’t deserve happy endings. It wouldn’t be appropriate. But with 2B and 9S, he thought, they’ve been stuck in this cycle of killing and dying and being reborn for so long that they had been punished enough. He said they deserved to be forgiven, to be cleansed of their sins". And the original Japanese concert script went with the good ending. I'm guessing Yoko Taro wanted the game to end on a Good Ending!
