If this No. 9 and 2 were before the current project YorHa, then that No. 9 can be considered the God that created everything. In the beginning of the game 2B wants to kill the God for creating the circle of life and death. In a way she has been doing that every time she kills 9S as 9S is modeled after No. 9
No, because No.9 isn't 9S. He is a different robot prototype. Just how 2B isn't A2 even though they look alike and based of the same model, 2A. Also it's still mostly Zinnia and the Red girls to blame here.
@@gravityfallscanada Nah this is all No.9's design, and he's not just a prototype. Every 9S model rolled out fresh off the production line has No.9's personality. While he's not THE 9S we know in the game, he is still in essence 9S. The only difference is 9S doesn't have No.9's memories, but it's essentially him. That's why both have a propensity for insanity.

Thank you all for doing these acts along with all the translators. Though I have questions on the story setting:
1. At this time(200 years before the game) humanity has already wiped out. And what happen to the moon again? When number 9 mention about the moon has a server?
2. Zinnia is the designer of the androids correct?
3: what was zinnia's original plan for setting up a virtual humanity for androids to fight and when no.9 says there has a flaw, what is the flaw?
4. I am confused even when I was reading the secret document in the game about the broken back door part. Can someone explain that for me? what "broken back door" and what attack by machine lifeform , on the moon?
5. No.9 says create our own god part is very confusing as well. what does he mean?
6. does no.2 actually know what no.9 knows?

1) that is based in data and human memories from project gestalt, which was from the original NieR. Idk why there's a server on the moon, tbh that seems a little convenient.
2) he is the designer of the YoRHa androids. Idk about any others, though there are others before YoRHa (Devola and Popola come to mind, but also Accord from Drakengard 3, who gets casually namedropped into Automata because of course she is).
3) his plan is likely what you see in the game. Regulated fabricated messages from the humans on the moon, which are really just prerecorded. Just based on no. 9 and the later 9S' character, I imagine he figured that androids would find out that this was a lie sooner or later.
4) the plan is to destroy every android after a while and essentially start fresh, ignorant and fighting. How the intricacies of this plan work is beyond me, but if I were to make a guess it would involve the Logic Virus (in other words, that's why there was a sudden surge of people getting the logic virus in route C. It wasn't because of anything specific; that group just ran out of time. Of course, that's a theory from myself). As for why it mentions a machine attack, i also have a theory for that that mostly boils down to "all hostile machines have a form of the logic virus and that's why they attack you and why they go berserk later in the game. That explains why machines have red eyes and why 9S gets the logic virus after hacking into Eve, who is essentially the machines' system.
5) this is an interesting part to me, because I can relate it to the real world in a way. So people have at least one thing that they fight for, and are willing to die for, right? A political opinion, a person, a god. Everyone in the game has one too. Eve has Adam. Pascal has the village children. The Androids have humans. What do you do when the thing you fight for is gone? In the case of the Androids (and specifically no. 9), he decides that convincing people that the humans are alive will give them this god that they need to find meaning in life. As the Commander puts it "(they) need a god worth dying for." That's why no. 9 is fine with androids dying after a set amount of time. Android lives mean nothing in the big picture; it's all about maintaining the lie (a lie, I might add, that caused his descendant to shatter years later.)
6) I don't know. She may. To be fair, I don't think that 2B is ever told first or last that there are no humans left. 9S was gonna tell her but she died before he could. Right at that moment though, all she saw was where she lived burning and her friend seriously hurt. I don't think it mattered in the moment if she knew or not.
((Obviously I could've missed a ton or there are some things that still don't click. A lot of this is my own speculation as well, which you're free to disagree with. But I figured I'd answer to the best of my ability).
So...now I'm wondering if 2B was assigned to always kill 9S because of what happened here?
Mitsuki Horenake have you finished endings C/D? A2 kind of reveals 2B's role in everything in that big speech in the final confrontation.
But yes, these scripts do expand on that quite a bit
I did, though I don't quite recall all the little details right now. Though with the whole concept of "God killing" starting each of the acts, I started assuming that maybe the cycle started like some kind of cosmic karma.
Just speculation, though. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong, though.
Mitsuki Horenake dude, you could analyze Yoko Taro's work in a doctorate's thesis and still miss things. Part of his brilliance: leave everything there for the player to interpret and enjoy to his or her own liking.
I know, it's amazing. Still, it's fun to try and speculate as much as you can. It's such a breath of fresh air to have a story you need to sit down and think about.
Given the personalities display here for number 9&2, I think number 2 was a bit of a mix between 2B and A2. For number 9 though I don't know but he seems to be a little more inquisitive than 9S

Denys Vlasenko that's not 9s. This happened long ago, and no. 9 is the early prototype of the model that later became 9s.
So that there was at least a purpose for them to exist at all.

the story was already meaningless but not entirely in a bad way, now it went towards crap. no wonder yoko taro was wasted when he created his universe.
