I’m looking for a 4 to 5 channel dash cam with GPS for my Toyota Corolla and my Dodge ram 2500… can you make any recommendations?… it would be even better if I had somebody to install it and I am willing to travel to get it done. I want to be able to see the interior driver and passenger as well as the front and rear… including the sides would be great as well.
Hi there, I'm in London, UK and wondering how can I buy the GNET GT700. Regarding the night vision, does it support on all four cameras? Is there any plan to upgrade the rear camera resolution or whether is it possible to upgrade the rear camera as the same spec as the side cameras? Many thanks.
Long shot, coming from Australia, long story short we bought a 2nd car with a gnet already installed but in Korean... Any way we can reset the system to start again??
Is there any system that "blends" the views together so it looks like you're in the center? I've seen kits on Amazon that make it look this way in the product description/pamphlet but no actual monitor views. Even with a car silhouette in the center and all 4 views surrounding it? Also, is there anything that's unobtrusive to be used on an SUV that won't stick out like a sore thumb? I have an 04 GMC Envoy ***XUV*** that looks like an SUV but the rear opens like a pickup (like Chevy Avalanche) and the rear side windows you can't even see in the RV mirror--serious blindspots.
We don't have cams in our trucks, but after what happened last Wednesday, I'm looking to get one myself. Looks like something like this would be good, though I don't know much about dash cams. Can this record on a loop?
Chevy & Ford offer multiple cameras on their newer half-ton pickup trucks, but THEY DON'T RECORD. I wish there was a way to tap off those existing cameras and feed a recorder.

@@Daniel-z2j2v I can't recommend a specific one based on personal experience. If you search eBay "4 channel car DVR", they should be reasonable. Watch for motion detection. On the cameras, watch for low light capability. Maximum storage is important, less so if there is motion detection. If you want to run it 24/7, consider power consumption and use some battery voltage guard. I'm experimenting with a bird view system. It consumes 10 Ah per day, recording uses 4 GB per hour.
@@Daniel-z2j2v Look up "Joinlgo" 4 channel dvr on Amazon. $400 but what's that compared to a ticket with insurance costs? I got mine for $300 with discounts and coupons.
I realize you're gearing sales and hardware toward fleet sales but if you don't think there are people who want something exactly like this in their car, like me, you're completely missing a market where there isn't much competition. You should come up with a model for cars. There aren't any 4 channel dash cams with a full HD front camera and a windshield mounted monitor. The only thing needed to make this system car ready would be shorter cables. Although, it would be nice if you could talk the manufacturer into a rear camera with at least 720p. Preferably 1080p. And maybe, better housings for indoor mounting of the side and rear cameras.
They have updated the image processors now with the GT900, keep in mind though, that a true 4 channel camera is a beast when it comes to image processing with 4 camera inputs, especially one that does it all through a single body front camera. Link to the GT900: lockdownsecuritycanada.ca/collections/4-channel-dash-cameras/products/gnet-gt900-4ch-four-channel-dash-camera-1080p-wifi-gps-lcd-screen?F5=DCAM4-Install
@@LockdownSecurity the image quality comes from the camera and sensor, not the recorder. The recorder only dictates the recorded resolution. I'm not knocking you at all, just the product. No one makes a good one and it's infuriating. we need 1080p recorded PER channel otherwise you can't make out faces and license plates which kind of defeats the purpose.
@@jacobvarley5453 No worries at all, what I was referring to was that to get higher image quality the 4 channel camera would require larger (and better image processors) for each camera, but the issue with doing that is housing them all in a single bodied front camera, such as how the GT900-4CH is designed. That is what the main issue is.
AT the moment the only system we have that can do this is from Rydeen, but it is pricey, hard to install, and the memory capacity only goes up to 32GB, which is very low. Wait another 6 - 8 months and there are a few 360 degree systems coming out (one from a company called Waylens)
Technically its geared for trucks yes, but you can use it for Private vehicle use as well, just gotta fold and ziptie the excess line, which is typical in most installations as they give enough to customize your install locations of cameras. I could easily install that on my personal vehicle. I've been looking at kits and most of them are geared for commercial trucks, but you can use them for any vehicle. Just long cables to deal with. Most of the kits I have been looking at are roughly $200-$400. Oddly enough, most are the same exact models for different prices in that price range. But honestly, I care less that you(Lockdown Security) state that its for commercial trucks, I'd buy the kit to use in my SUV. The screen has a built in camera, which is a huge reduction of size. As for the Solid State Drive, I din't exactly see how it is connected/integrated into the system. Picture shows what appears to be a external drive case connected via wire to the screen. And as for the power installation into the fuse block, I would put a Fuse Piggyback adapter in with the kit to make a better and safer connection. This is what I mean : tinyurl.com/yd3uttm9 After reading the installation manual, I didn't like the view of wrapping an exposed wire around a fuse blade and sticking it back into the port on page 15. That is just a means of a fire hazard and bad connection. Hence why I suggest a piggyback fuse adapter. My guess on pricing for this kit, around $700 for the main kit, screen and 2 cameras. Another $100 or so for the rear camera. $75 or so for the Solid State Drive memory. $30 for the GPS antennae. $250 for a 6800 mah backup battery, $475 for 13600 mah backup battery. $15 for the wifi dongle. And this is based on what I see online in Korea, so am just estimating.
