Yo Seek, I have reviewed the video, and weblink you provided. This neat little device is basically a “splitter”, or an electrical “piggy back” connector. This would be an absolute time saver, and “clean install” option for most people unwilling, unable, or unfamiliar with running electrical wire, or removing trim panels to hide dash cam power cables. However, I see some potential issues, especially at its $29 price. 1.) It’s not exactly 100% safe. The manufacturer of the vehicle designed the electrical circuit for the auto dimming rearview mirror to ONLY power the mirror. Of course the dash cam is only going to pull a small amount of current 200mAh - 400mAh based on my testing. And most people will not have an issue with blowing fuses, melting wire, causing damage to the mirror, or worst case scenario starting a fire. But when it comes to electrical circuits, and components they must have a high degree of safety intrinsically built into the system. I do not see that with this product. 2.) Most people like to have the option of running Parking Mode with their dash cam. With this product it is not possible because it operates on “switched”, or “key on power”. Based on this I cannot recommend this product, because there are safer, and more cost effective alternatives. -Chuck
