I think you need to re-add milk to the whey from the first batch to make ricotta (ricotta means re-cooked in italian). the cheese you get from the first batch is called 'primo sale' (first salt)

Hilarious episode! I made ricotta cheese once. Similar to how they did it. I made it with milk that was either past its sell-by date or just about to hit its sell-by date so it didn't go to waste. It came out pretty good. No complaints from me.
