I wasn't sure how clean Rammstein was going to turn out, but the answer is pretty damn good! :) All the energy and relentless groove but with a more chilled-out vibe that's really fun. Some work better than others, but they all sounded good to me. Links in particular sounds awesome like that! I think Till's vocals would actually fit really well with these. Interesting choice to use the Fishmans. They sound great. Somehow thick but also twangy without being unpleasantly bright. Awesome video! \m/
That was fascinating, thanks Jassy. I thought Sonne and Engel worked particularly well, but most of the tracks held up without distortion. Now I'm looking forward to the sequel: "Rammstein Unplugged - The Folk Club Years" 😂
The difference between an oil painting and a water color. Distortion isn't an instrument; just a different color on the palette. What matters is what you do with the brush. Beautifully done.
I've followed your channel for a long time and know just how good a guitarplayer you are. But this?! by playing clean sound it became very clear what a great, heavy rhythmguitarist you truly are. You've got so much muscle, personality, passion and power in your feel for metal and it really comes through in your clean tone. Distortion is great but it takes away just as much as it gives. This was different! Awesome!
Undistorted Rammstein was a great idea, Jassy! Now I know that without distortion their music has country rock, 70s classic rock and/or 90s grunge vibes! :D Ich tue dir Weh, Sonne and Mein Teil were my favourites!
I think, it's a cool idea. So everybody who wants to try to learn the riffs, can also train the ears if the playing is in tune. Nice job, Jassy. As always. 👍😎🤘
This was a fascinating experiment. The riffs sound completely different. Without the distortion they certainly sound less "metal". It shows me what a genius Jimi Hendrix was - he was the first guitarist to figure out that deliberately distorting a guitar sound could make it seem louder and bigger. A great riff is a great riff, but distorting it gives you that feeling of power so important to the genre of metal. So my conclusion is CRANK IT UP - if you love metal, it sounds better. Btw you should certainly do a Hendrix riff list - he was without doubt the Godfather of metal.
Hi Jassy, I am writing to inform you that you are a great guitarist and did an awesome job with the song. I hope to hear from you soon, stay safe, and rock on 🎸🎸🎸
Distortion is better 😎 Love the variation in content! ...suggest rig/gear/guitar breakdowns of the artists you play so very well! Like how to get specific bands sounds at home with pedals and sims. Great playing always.
Thank you! Well I guess I won’t do something like that as soooooo many gear freaks will criticize me for not knowing their actual setup 😅 it’s still hard to be female in the metal scene, so I just won’t touch some subjects 🙈 sorry, but I hope you understand!
@@JassyPabst Much respect to you. I understand your point. Never doubt that real musicians will only see you as a musician. Male-female-non binary- Does not matter to true musicians! Your playing speaks for your undeniable ability and should be respected for that alone. And you ARE a great musician. The progress video you posted is very inspiring. I wish you much success and growth. You are a representative in the metal community and you ARE appreciated. 😎😎
Always had an electric. But I always just played my acoustic. If it rocks it will rock. Sometimes I'll not dampen strings when I would with distortion to get the heavy sound or not dampen as much. . Great video..thanks.
Hi Jassy, das war eine sehr originelle Idee! Rammstein-Riffs ohne Distortion, interessant... toll gespielt auf jeden Fall, auch wenn ich die "normale" Version bevorzugen würde...:-)
Amazing. Links-2-3-4 is still my number 1(clean or distorted doesn`t matter), and then Sonne/Du Hast in second, all the other songs/riffs are third place(sorry, not sorry, I am very greedy when it comes to Rammstein). Now I just need someone to teach me how to play the guitar. Thank You for the upload.
That sounded weird....but still badass. A well written badass riff will sound badass either way (but much better hard, LOL), fun and interesting video, my friend! I hope you're well 😊🤘
Funny to listen how clean riffs sound like, i was a hardcore rammstein fan from 15 years old, was at their gig in Kiev 2010 (was so lucky to catch them still in ok shape + i found Combichrist which became my next favorite band, replacing rammstein:D.
Hey, first thing, humbacker has his own natural distortion. It sounds good. Ser gut ;) This riffs whitch you have played sound good without distortion. Thisi is a way of playing. In this weekend I want to listen Rammstein because f child memories hahah. They awsome. You're awsome too. I like your videos too. Be in metal :)
Yeah still pretty cool but I like the powered up version better. I love how enthusiastic you were playing Links 234 you obviously enjoy that track but then it's hard not to right
Well there are already a lot guitar playthroughs online. Also I recently just uploaded Shorts with my original solos and we just released our new single and I always play them in my live-streams 😂 actually it’s hard to miss these videos :)
Awesome!! I think most sounded just as good - a couple of songs (for me anyway) i think sound better with distortion, but over all - fab! - great vid 👍🎸👍 tbh I have a soft spot for Till though anyway - so frikkin hot!! 😈😈😈
Nice experiment but still way prefer the distortion. The reason I love Rammstein is it's like having sledgehammers demolishing my brain and eardrums ;)
Btw Jassy, not sure if you listened to Mudvayne at all. LD50 is one of the best nu-metal albums that stood the test of time. Would be awesome to hear covers of some classics like "Dig" and "Internal Primates Forever" - the bass is crazy but the guitar parts are pretty easy to play.
*Will Rammstein still be bombastic or will they sound like relaxing surf music? Tell me in the comments below 🤪🤘🏻*
YeaaH!! Finally JJ stein doing Rammsteinn!! :D i love it. hehe

I’m pretty convinced even if Rammstein played an acoustic set, Till would bring his flamethrower
😂😂😂😂😂
This is what Rammstein would sound in the 60's 😂😂😂😂 it still sounds pretty good though thank you JJ 🤟😎🤟
I doubt we would have all the keyboard effects though haha 😆 glad you enjoyed it :)
@@JassyPabst they would of used a piano or an organ lol

I mean „Los“ is a „clean“ track and still sooo heavy!!!
@@JassyPabst good point haha.
Different but still great riffs, you play them so well. Mein tiel sounded like a completely different song.
That was fascinating, thanks Jassy. I thought Sonne and Engel worked particularly well, but most of the tracks held up without distortion. Now I'm looking forward to the sequel: "Rammstein Unplugged - The Folk Club Years" 😂
Sonne is also very chill!!!
Great video and great Idea, my Favorite was Links 2,3,4. Keep on the great work :-)
Oh that’s interesting!
I love it! 🔥🔥🔥 Even clean Riffs sound great 💪🏼
I got to admit that the first selection I had contained some riffs that definitely didn’t work well 🙈
I really enjoyed that, still had plenty of grit and you pulled it off with grace and style. Great stuff Jassy🤘🤘!!!
Still sounded great, especially Sonne, Engel, Du Hast. Very cool idea for video
I think a good musician can play riffs clean and still get the point across to the listener. You did just that. You are a great musician.
The difference between an oil painting and a water color.
Distortion isn't an instrument; just a different color on the palette.

Honestly, sounds really cool! Like Classic Rock, it's so different, but sounds great!🤘
What an awesome idea! I can't wait to watch. :)
Thank you 😊 hopefully the sound is good enough haha
@@JassyPabst Well I thoroughly enjoyed it, I think it was defined enough.
That riff from Reichst sounds like the hold music for a DIY store
Hahahaha 😂😂😂

Now I know that without distortion their music has country rock, 70s classic rock and/or 90s grunge vibes! :D Ich tue dir Weh, Sonne and Mein Teil were my favourites!
Nice comparison :) I think much heaviness from Rammstein comes from the beat. Also the keyboards are so very important.
Also the timbre of Til's voice, perhaps?! I can't stop listening to the country and 70s rock "Ich tue dir Weh" - it's so catchy! :D
Of course! But I just compared it to the instrumentation :)
Most sound good without. Some still need it. Loved how at the end you became relaxed and forgot about the camera being there.
Auch clean gespielt kommt das richtig heavy und kraftvoll rüber...sehr spannend umgesetzt 💥
Good Job and very cool video 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Borko 😊🤘🏻
Well we can at least say it was different! Still cool but different!

You can also hear every mistake when playing clean. That is a big plus 😊👌
Surprisingly, it sounds pretty good without distortion. Interesting video. Thanks Jassy 🤘🤘

Rammstein unplugged!!!
That was awesome, thank you.
Sounds clearer as well, and you played them perfectly (as always)💥⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great idea for the video Jassy. The Rammstein riffs without distortion work just as well as the original with distortion. That was awesome 😈🤘🎵🔥🔥🔥🔥
