Ollie is the most underrated part about the band. The dude knows how the shred but knows what a song needs, especially in a band like Rammstein

First of all, very good performance. They dont have the most technically difficult riffs, but they have some kind of their own magic in riffs. And you nailed them perfectly!
Secondly, this is very nostalgic for me, I was listening to them when i was 14. This band was my first metal expirince.
You reminded me how awesome their music is. In my opinion Rammstein dont have bad songs, they have only good and awesome tracks.
Also, very nice sound! These Fishmans are pretty damn good.

Exactly, it's all about the magic that makes it great, not the complexity. Hans Zimmer, one of the top Hollywood composers, often uses one or two tones perfectly tuned and placed to tell a story. It's all about how it feels in the end.

I definitely agree that their riffs have a kind of unique magic. I think for me, I love how they offer a combination of heavy and harsh power & with a certain 'chaotic elegance'. I started listening to them when I was in 4th/5th grade, so a little younger than you. A full decade later, I love Rammstein even more and it's literally getting my through University. 😂 Cheers, friend!
The riff from Rammstein was one of the things that kicked me in the ass and made me pick up the guitar and was one of the very first things I learnt.
These guys can really teach you that less is more and sometimes all you really need is to smash some power chords in a cool way.

Well sure especially there are 6 people and everyone adds to the full picture which results in some great music. If everyone was too sophisticated I think it wouldn't be very harmonic if you know what I mean

Excellent to my ears. One minor nitpick is Mein Teil at 8:35 and it's a common one that lots of others on UA-cam seem to miss or just omit (whichever applies). The riff is repeated the same way the first 3 times but then on the 4th time, it changes slightly. Instead of starting with 2-0-2, there are instead two downstrums on 2.
Wait. What the... You are right! I just clearly heard it for the first time. I've completely missed that all these years...
@KevinBalke it's very subtle on the album version but really stands out in the live performances where they repeat the opening riff for much longer.
Either way great work here mate. Have loved your videos for a long time now. Your content is ace, want to learn guitar myself and I already know your videos are going to be super helpful.
Oh yes, it's more obvious in their live performances. Trying to figure out all these riffs can get really exhausting. At some point, you don't even know what you are hearing anymore. You start wondering if your ears actually picked it up or if you simply convinced your brain that you heard it - if you know what I mean. Anyway, thank you for the kind words!

i’m commenting on the sheer work this took. Is it me or is that last album. Have some of there best riffs in years. it reminded me of Sehnsucht and mutter mix, which to me is a badass combo. Cant go wrong there.
'Zeit' really took me by surprise. And I also really enjoy playing the songs.
I feel these riffs more like mix of all albums, but its definetly more in Mutter style
Zeit is a rarity. It's so rare that a band that has made music for 30+ years can release an album that is competing with the best albums.
It's why Rammstein is just one amazing band that is hard to explain, it has to be felt.
