If you wanna see an awesome example of dual drummers you gotta watch King Gizzard’s KEXP performance of “Nuclear Fusion”! The drummers trade off each 1/8th note of the hi hat pattern during the chorus and stay perfectly in sync, it’s insane!
For sure a band that is best seen live. I remember hearing about them a lot but not being able to get into the albums. After seeing them live they're one of my favorites. I'd say the albums Orc, Mutilator Defeated at Last, and Smote Reverser are good jumping off points, but I'm probably biased as those were the first albums I got into.
Yeah if you don’t like the growly vocals or the higher vocals, you’re probably not gonna dig any of the vocals from them lol. There’s definitely other songs that showcase dwyers guitar playing more because he’s actually a really sick guitarist, but they can get pretty krautrock-y at times where they’ll sit on the same riff and make subtle changes throughout the song. He’s not afraid to sit on a really simple riff instead of letting it rip, just to let the groove of the song take over. But it’s hard to describe them with one sound. Where gizz changes genres all the time in a very obvious way, the oh sees do the same more subtly and generally after a few albums of similar sound.
Got to see them live right after their album "Smote Reverser" came out. They were really into playing their heavier shit at the time. Best show of my life--the pit had insane energy, but there wasn't a violence to it. Withered Hand is also one of my favorite heavy tunes from them. They have since added another band member that stays on the synth, and their new album "Intercepted Message" is much more synth/punky and a really fun time. There is a live recording on YT where they play it in its entirety: ua-cam.com/video/J_FNNqJe2ag/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TheBestShowwithTomScharpling
Still have the OG micro tonal album. "Flying Microtonal Banana". From king gizzard and the lizard wizard. But the Allman brothers also have duel drummers. Their first 3 albums are rock solid
don't know if this is the right place to make a suggestion, but it'd be cool to hear your take on the necromancers, I think they might be up your alley with the spooky vibes they got going on. "secular lord" should be a good entry point!
Howdy, Riff. Hope you're having a good week so far. Could you do a Metalhead Envies on Judas Priest- 'Beyond the Realms of Death' studio version please? It has my favourite guitar solo of all time on that track and I'd love to see what you think of the song. Thanks, lad!
More Oh sees! A band that I have never seen reacted to is NoMeamsNo, I'm pretty sure they had two drummers on the album One. But they have much better abums besides that. They are by far my favorite band and I think you would enjoy some of their stuff, not all. Punk/Prog/Jazz. For you're taste I'd recommend "The River" but if you really want to hear how unique they are I'd recommend the song "Dance of the headless bourgeois" off the album with the same name. I'm sure if there are any other fans of them here they could recommend many other songs. In my opinion, Canada's most underrated and underappreciated band.
Yeah the ohsee's are very hot or miss. I listened to about 10 of their albums and so far they got 2 that's pretty good. And one that's a perfect vibe to the black flag. All the others are very experimental is how I would best describe them. Kind of like the Melvin's. 😅 The albums I'm referring to are: Orc Smote Reverser The black flag vibe would be A Foul Form. If you would have any of the best of luck it would be a lot of the tracks inside the albums Ive listed
OSEES live are some of the LOUDEST shows I've ever seen, and I always am hypnotized by the 2 drummers, they're so much fun to watch

You should react to their Levitation Session “Chem Farmer / Nite Expo”. It’ll blow these last 2 Oh Sees songs you’ve listened to out of the water
"Jettisoned" by the Osees has the drummers doing different fills and playing off each other you might enjoy.
This song really shows how it’s possible for two good drummers to combine forces and play completely in sync to equal one great drummer!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, my man the version of "The Dream" from this show is NUTS.
I saw them live for the first time last year and it was easily the loudest concert I've ever been to. They are fuckin awesome live in person.
If I'm not mistaken John Dwyer uses an Arturia Microbrute and a bunch of pedals as a synth gearset.

Seeing them this weekend in Cleveland, easly the best/loudest shows

These guys never really grabbed me, but I dig their new album so maybe you should react to some songs off the new one
Flying Microtonal Banana is where to go next with King Gizz. Mega dual drumming and fully custom microtonal guitars.

A little research will lead you to the double trios of King Crimson. You might find it interesting. Be Well!
