    Nice use of the solar generator. I run a laptop and a fan while running the XR18 from my lawn chair FOH using a GoalZero yeti.
    I made a diy solar generator 2000w and made a dj set up 2 K12s for a pop up skating rink on a tennis court.

      That's a pretty dope set up you just described. I have this size generator for those small inconveniences. I think eventually I will invest in one of their big boy models to run my full DJ set up should that occasion arise. Otherwise there have only been three significant times where I've had to use a solar generator. Two times during a ceremony at a golf course and one time for a ceremony at a ranch with no power at the ceremony locations. In all three instances I ran the Krackin and a single K8.2.

    Interesting use case. The River Max is such a great unit.
    Imagine if you popped a 110w solar panel on it also would run longer for sure and have you starting t a higher % once the sun goes down.
    Also love your attention to detail with the cables and setup, nice and neat.

    The review was great, using a lightweight power inverter gives you a lot of flexibility for satellite speakers. Also great work on the cable run. The audio cable for the videographer was hurting my OCD, thank-you for velcro'ing it onto the pole 😂

      Right on brother. Thanks for watching my man and I appreciate your encouragement. Yeah that use to happen often. What I have done since making this video is automatically attach an XLR cable already velcro'd to my pole so when they show up they just plug right in. When it's over they take their recording device and leave my cable. Too easy.

      The eagle flow river max can you put out 1200 W hours with the eco-boost turned on. This is my first experience using a solar generator with a DJ system so I thought I would take it slow for now. In my next test I will be running a full DJ case and a single QSC K 12.2.

    Recently found your channel and love your work, but it pains me (maybe it's just me), but I could never put speakers up front in full view of the audience, photographer, etc for the ceremony. The fill speaker in the back is a great idea, especially all wireless, but up front pull the one stack closer to your DJ booth out of the picture and have the other one somewhere out of the way. While your guests are outside for cocktail hour, drag your mains to the spots where you had them. If you really trust your Alto Stealth system, maybe put two K8.2s in the back and one stack next to you at the booth. Your setups are 100% clean (including videographer cable). Why not take this extra step and make the photos perfect too? Not hating, just giving an opinion on a way to improve a really nice setup.

      Thanks for the tip. I love our industry and we grow better because we share and learn from each other. We're discussing making a roller for the subs and top stacks (when they are in the upright setup) for these situations and buying another set of Alto Stealth receivers. At this venue we mostly have no choice but to put the mains in the corner next to the DJ Table because there's usually a head table there. Just saw a new opportunity during this room flip so I went for it. Thank for your support DayNNyteDJs.

    Thank you for uploading such a unique video. This certainly gives me a perspective. However, I want to know if the 256 watt hour River 2 is okay for operating a 200watt rms and 1000 watt peak Jbl speaker (jbl ixr 108bt)... I just want around 2-3 hrs of playtime....

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  2 місяці тому +2

      I have a QSC KSub and it is rated at 2000W peak but I will say it's 1000W RMS. I've use the Sub and K 8.2 with my Ecoflow River Max and it does clip out because of the bass notes when it hits. I think in order to effectively run a subwoofer you would probably have to upgrade to a bigger model Ecoflow like perhaps the Delta or above. For a common powered speaker though my K8.2 is rated at 2000 W peak but again will call that 1000 W RMS and it held up the entire time of that wedding with no issues. Hope this Helps.

    • @Kujurchristopher
      @Kujurchristopher 2 місяці тому +1

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  11 місяців тому +1

      Yes but I recommend you keep your speaker at unity gain or no more than 0 DB. Powered speakers can draw quite a few amps. My k8.2 was on 0 DB and it held up like a champ all night. I also have the X-Boost turned on the River Max.

    Hi thanks for the video! I have a question: I’m looking for a portable powerstation to use for busking. My setup would be: xr18 mixing station to an alto ts312 speaker. I also have a pedalboard and perhaps an alto ts310 as a monitor. Do you think this ecoflow river 2 max could handle this setup. And if so, how long could my gigs be (a rough estimation would be nice). Thanks a lot!

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  Рік тому +2

      Hello Toon. That is an excellent question and I have not tested the Eco flow in that capacity yet. The closest thing that I came to that situation was with the XR 18, 4 microphones, an iPad, and one QSC K12.2 speaker. With that set up the Ecoflow showed that it will last approximately 4 hours at 69%. Here's a video explaining what I just said on Facebook: facebook.com/100000280328964/videos/903362407573419/

    The way that watts get measured and posted is very misleading. So that speaker claims 2000 watts peak. You will never see that! In reality it can only do 500 watts rms continuous. At that level the speaker would be loud and distorted.
    As we see the speaker at a good level for the cocktail hour is around 32 watts. Yep, it does not take much! Now if he really pushed that speaker to party level it would probably get to 100 watts with peaks of 150 maybe.

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching Brian. Speaker manufactures post peak watts as a sales pitch. Most of us professionals know that is not RMS and neither do we get hung up on it. We simply demo on speaker, if it sounds good for what we needed to do, we buy it and use it.
      The purpose of this test was to see what the EcoFlow can do as I would actually use it at a wedding. And what typically happens is speeches during the ceremony, cocktail & dinner music and of course approximately 2 1/2 hours of party. So again this was a test I have worked out great for my purposes. I will probably do another test for straight party volume to see how this speaker the EcoFlow river max does(which is not specifically designed for DJ used.)
