  • Is the ecoflow river 2 max a good solution for busking musicians? How well does it perform with a full PA system, stage monitors, mixing console etc. Find out in this video!
I'm a musician who often plays at weddings, on the street (busking) and other gigs. There is not always a reliable power source nearby or at a convenient location. That is why I tested this portable electric power station to see if I could do a full band setup without being powered from the grid.
Song in the video is a song written and produced by me, it's not available on any streaming services yet.

Excellent, your video is better than most reviews I ever saw. Kudos. You should get into reviewing as an extra source of income.

Super valuable information. Thanks for making this. I am an aspiring musician and would like to start playing in public spaces. So i was looking to get a rough idea on how long such power stations deliver. You just solved it for me. Thanks again !!

Little update: I did a little test with my Fender Bassbreaker 15 combo tube amplifier. The amp drew a consistent 60 watt at various volumes. The ecoflow indicated that it could run for about 6 hours with only the tube amplifier connected.

Very useful, thanks! Please do a test with tube guitar and bass amps included and see how long you can play at full sound level.

Good idea! I should have thought about it while I was filming this video. I might do another video to test other gear!

Can someone orient me with this? I saw a video of a guy plugging in a phone, a tablet and an air dryer and the battery shut him down but here this guy plugs in a whole musical set up? I'm considering the option of this battery for busking myself (mixer plus pedal board set plus small amp) but can't seem to understand how this works....

@@silencesilence hey I just saw your comment. The thing with hair dryers, electric water cookers, coffee makers etc is that they draw a lot of power and people don’t realize this.
The ecoflow river 2 max has a maximum of 500 watt of continuous output. A hair dryer draws 1500 to 2000 watt which is more than enough to trip the safety of the river 2 max. But running a fridge for example wouldn’t be a problem and neither is a speaker system.
It’s not because the appliance is big that it draws a lot of wattage. You should always check the manual to be sure.

Hello! Would this gear power an Orange Dark Terror 6/15 watt amp head properly? Because i think my house electric system isn't grounded properly and my amp sound different each time i turn it on and most of the time sounds chuggy and dark with no reason. Thank you!

This is very interesting . Every of those speaker probably have power consumption about 200- 450 wats. Have you try to play music on the high level about 1 hour so you can see does the drawing get higher?

You don't know how desperately I was looking for such a video. Thanks a ton, man. I want to power two 200watt rms speakers (jbl irx 108 bt). Do you think the smaller ecflow river 2 256wh will work for me? I want backup for around 3hrs.

    Thanks for doing this.
Is this TOO big for ?
I have a smaller setup- I do need to power a 65w guitar amplifier that I am doubling as a mixer - my backing tracks and mandolin BOTH thru this amp , for volume control --- then this can just go out to a house PA , recurring gig but I want my own controls before the house - and my amp as mixer/monitor

You can definitely go with a smaller power station to get all your gear running. How long everything will run I can't tell you, but in my experience speakers and amplifiers always take less power than you would expect. I would imagine that you would be fine with the River 2 (not Max), but I haven't tried my tube amp yet, so I will try to test this to see how heavy it is on the Ecoflow...

Hi Toon! Very interesting video. I’ve a question for you. I will play at a wedding party in a park and I need something like this. My setting will be a keyboard, two amplifiers and two microphones. Do you think is enough this power station you show in your video? I’ve seen there’s also a cheaper version (Ecoflow 2), is it enough? Thanks in advance for your help! 🙏🏻

Hey it was good review may i have question?
im thinking to use that betterie box for my yamaha dzr 12 + headrush mx5 (small multi pedal ) and mpc live + rc505 mk2
do you think Bluetti Eb70 or echoflow river 2 max which would be fit on my rig ?
Could you tell me your opinion from your experience ?

    • @toondeveltere3205
      @toondeveltere3205  Рік тому +2

Hi, thanks. I would say both of the generators you mention will fit your needs. How long you will be able to use all your gear at once is a little harder to say but with the ecoflow river 2 max you'll get at least 2 hours of continuous play time in my estimation.
When I was looking for a power supply for my setup I was also interested in specifically these two models (Buetti Eb70 and Ecoflow river 2 max). I eventually decided to go for the ecoflow because of two reasons:
1.The bluetti comes with an external power supply that has a fan in it. This fan will start spinning the moment you plug it in and will keep spinning even if the bluetti itself is not connected. The ecoflow on the other hand has the power adapter build in and uses a standard power cord. If you lose or forget the bluetti's power supply you are fucked. The Ecoflow's power cable you can find in any household.
      2. The ecoflow charges from 0% to 100% in 1 hour, which is super fast compared to the bluetti's 0% to 80% in about 3 hours. This is the main reason I went for the ecoflow.
But like I said, both will serve your needs. The Bluetti might be a bigger battery but the fast charging on the ecoflow makes up for that in my opinion.

Hi man, great video, really helpful. Just went and picked up the EcoFlow River Max 2 and am having some weird grounding issues with my guitars, just wondering if you experienced this. I've tried with both acoustic and electric guitars and put them into my Boss Katana and Roland Cube street. The issue is the same on all. When I plug them into the mains everything works and sounds crystal clear so it's some sort of grounding issue? It's relieved by touching the strings.
    Would greatly appreciate any advice

Hi I’m sorry, I don’t check the comments very often. I haven’t experienced this so sadly I don’t know how to help you with this. Usually I use a mixing board in my setup and play through a DI box (which has a ground lift switch) maybe this might help?
