EcoFlow River Max vs "2" QSC K8.2s

This video was made because I was asked will the EcoFlow River Max power a JBL party box or JBL 310 speaker. Because I do not own the speakers I decided to use two QSC K8.2 speaker which are a two way powered speaker with an 8 inch subwoofer and a tweeter. Dope review! I never ran a mixer with djing but plan to soon. If a videographer were wanting to plug into the mixer for sound capture, which input would they use?

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions 10 годин тому

      This mixer is limited on outputs so here are some options: 1 - Out of the Left side 1/4 jacks of the the main output of the mixer (ensure the mixer is set to mono mode). 2 - Out of the "phones" output (this way you could at least control how much signal is going to the recorder independent of the main volume that goes to your speakers. 3 - XLR direct out of the back of you speaker is the easiest because they won't have to connect to the mixer at all. 4 - This one is weird but when the mixers in mono mode, the left and right XLRs output the exact same signal. In this case, you could use one XLR output for your speaker and the other XLR output for the videographer. If you were using 2 Speakers, just daisychain an XLR cable from one speaker to the other while also using the other XLR channel from your mixer for the videographer. Your mixer must absolutely be in mono mode.

    Great build! I keep most of my gear in separate cases (for travel and weight purposes). - A 4U case holds my 3 Sennheiser G3 Diversity Receivers and my ASP-2 antenna Splitter. I then have a 2U Rack drawer that holds my wireless mics and body packs (along with Antenna's, batteries and chargers). - A 4U case holds my XR18, HA8000 headphone amp, Furman M-10x E power conditioner, and a 2U short Rack Drawer (for DI's, Mics and some patch cables. - A 2U case holds 2 ULTRALINK MS8000 Microphone splitters, for my 16 channel isolated split.

    When setting up an external router, would I be able to switch back to AP by just sliding the switch to AP, or would I need to configure it all again? I'm worried that if something happens to the external router, I would lose the ability to enter the app.

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions 26 днів тому

      That's a good question and here's what actually would happen if you were using your external router and the router just quit in the middle of the mix… You would essentially be left with the mix as it is at that moment so anything on muted or un muted would still be in that status, and all audio will still pass through as it is at that moment. You just basically would not have control of the mix. So in that situation, you would have to switch over to the built-in Wi-Fi and reconnect. A tablet or iPad would automatically connect and configured to with the mixer is already doing and you could just simply continue. With a PC however make sure when you connect to the built-in Wi-Fi of the XR 18 ensure that you select mixer to PC. that way the mixer is currently going on in the mixer will not be changed, but will make your PCs program. Adjust to what the mixer is already doing. If you select PC to mixer, you could risk changing up your whole scene and totally messing up your mix.. Please let me know if this helps. • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions Місяць тому

      @@shadowort2287 just to be clear if you were operating the speakers with the alto stealth, you could put it wherever you want as I did in the video, however, the speakers themselves have a very limited IP rating. The alto stealth has absolutely no IP rating which means they're not designed to be in a misty or wet area especially inside of a car wash where the sprayers and brushes are going with water going everywhere. Now the EV verse eight speakers on their own does have an IP rating however, they're not fully waterproof and do require the back trey to be put on over the electronics to help protect him but again this has a very limited IP rating which means they can only get wet, but so much before something eventually goes wrong with the speakers. If you looking to put the speakers where there is no car wash sprayers operating then that would be OK. lastly, there are specifically designed speakers that are meant to get rained like the ones they put anything in Parks, for example.

    I only see the Alto Professional Stealth MKII-UHF version for sale and not the pro version. Do know what's the difference? THe Pro is running $700

      Hello Mo cuts and thanks for watching. Yes, the Alto Stealth MKII to only has one antenna so it's not a true diversity system and instead of an XLR mini out for the Audio, it has a balanced 1/4 inch jack out. There is also no delay feature on it. I'm not sure if Alto is going to make new version of the Professional Model, but I sure do hope so. In all fairness, I do have experience with their previous version to the one I have and it worked great but not as robust as the Professional model that I'm currently using. I think the MKII system will be just fine. Just not as many features as the Professional version. I will put a link to the MKII version in the description and to inform everybody that the "Professional" version is no longer available for purchase. MK II version: amzn.to/48adSzf

    Great video bro. Question for you, how did you connected your subs to play?

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions Місяць тому

      Hello Grooveking101 and thanks for watching. One channel of my DJ controller is hardwired with an XLR cable going to the first subwoofer and top set then daisy chain from there with another XLR cable over to the second subwoofer and top set. The other channel of my DJ controller is input into the Alto Stealth transmitter(left channel), but both receivers are on the same channel or frequency in mono to sent audio to my remote speakers. I recently purchased a second Alto system so if I ever do that venue again, all of my speaker systems will be wireless because I now have four Alto Stealth receivers.

    my mixer have laptop w/music , mic and speaker connected to a mixer all them are operating. how to record clean mic audio with wireless mic that is connected withoud disconnected or lowering the instrument sound output?

      @@dmgfilmproductionandphotog1567 You’ll need to adjust the volumes of all instruments so they blend well together. Then turn up the master volume to your liking.

      @@gfire_productions what i mean is there any separate track for mic audio? since i'm a video editor i would like to change the old music background by new music background i will change in post production.

      @gfire_productions Місяць тому

      @@dmgfilmproductionandphotog1567 To be clear I put the music in this video on a separate track in iMovie on my Mac. So the mics were recorded though the mixer in OBS then imported to iMovie. Now if I wanted to record mics and music in one take with this mixer, I would put my iPad on channel 5/6 and turn up the volume so it blends well with the mic. That works well when I’m vlogging live though but as soon as I start to edit in post. The music would sound like it’s skipping around the track when I cut out parts of the video with music in it.

      @@dmgfilmproductionandphotog1567 interfaces are generally a way to get all of your analog instruments and mic’s through it(like my mixer) and into some kind of recording software. This mixer is very limited on outputs so the best you can do is send your left & right out to an external recorder. Now, if you were using a more advanced interface, that allows you to send multiple channels from the mixer through a USB into multiple channels of recording software, you would still need a computer or laptop to get that done. The MG10XU is a simple mixer/interface with limited capabilities. Maybe consider a Tascam Model 12 for what you’re trying to do.

    Concerning the headphone jack. Can you cue 5/6 ( iPad in my case)while playing 3/4 ( controller) ? If not what is the headphone jack purpose

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions 2 місяці тому

      This mixer is very basic so I was not able to cue. The head phone jack is nothing more than a monitor source. It's also good when I mixing light at night and can't use speakers so I can use headphones instead. Now when I'm live I don't use head phones unless I really need to. The larger mixers like the Yamaha MG 12 and up has the ability to pre-fader listen(PFL). On a mixer, PFL and cue are the same thing. Some desks will have it labelled as PFL, while others will label it as cue. They perform the same function on both broadcast and live mixing desks.
