Please could you place the correct link to the exact monitor. The link provides many LG monitors which are not the one in the video.
@@mrleglove3377 Yep, availability is a bit patchy. Here's the direct link to the LG store in the USA www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-32sq780s-w (can't find it in the UK store anymore or via Amazon).
I purchased this, but having difficulty connecting via usb C. I can airplay in very low quality, but plugging in USB c to USB c it does not detect an input. Has anyone else encountered this or have a solution?
I had the same mate. It'll be your USB C cable. You'll want one that can support 4K 60Hz as well as pass-through charging. I used this one: amzn.to/3TLBhCd
LG all the way 🎉
Both POS!
I had the Samsung M8 dead pixel after 1 month. Replaced screen by Samsung.. and yup another dead pixel. It went back to Samsung and got my money back.
This exact LG smart monitor, since day one. Power issue, everything works just fine but it won’t turn back on after turning it off. It has to be unplugged for at least 30 seconds, plug back in and wait 5 seconds then this heavy POS will turn on. Software updates, reset to factory spec, tried different outlets blah blah.
Dealing with LG customer service is like talking to a caveman that’s daft. Sending this SHIT back and getting full refund.
True story bro.. the world doesn’t want me to have a smart monitor 😢
Oh no- that’s rubbish!! Strangely in the UK LG store this model is showing up as discontinued which is a bit worrying for a product that’s only a few months old. 🤔
@@ThatMarkGilroy is that so?! Hmmm now things are making “sense”. LG rep said that they don’t have any remotes, and also other internal electronics for that monitor and could not tell me how long the repair was going to take.
I’m glad that I’m returning this for a full refund instead of letting them goons try to repair.
Please do another video in 3 months and sooner if you have any issues.
Hi, I only got 4K30Hz when connected to M1 Mac mini via thunder bolt 3 cable to the monitor. Do you know why can’t it get 4k60Hz?
Hmm. Have you tried Option-Clicking on “Scaled” in Display Settings on macOS and manually setting the refresh rate to 60 Hz?
@@ThatMarkGilroy Tried. But max is 30Hz.
I must be honest, I did that but this monitor and I wasn’t impressed. I just found it was too big I loved what it could do but when gaming it was lagging a bit no matter the settings I used. In addition to this when I working It felt like I didn’t know where to look. Saying that I’m sure that it’s a great monitor for most but it wasn’t for me.
Bro can we connect remote pc with ip address?
I checked this out and it looks like you can't do this with the monitor (unlike with some LG TVs)....it does however work if you're casting using Airplay or similar - just a small lag.
@@ThatMarkGilroy for same webos22 all tvs have that option, Why purposefully they removed 😭
@@reddypennabadi9413 🤷🏻♂️
Do you have geforce now app ?
No buddy. I barely get enough time to game on my PS5 as it is!
Which one do you like better under same pricing? Samsung M8 or LG?
If they were the same price I’d get the Samsung. But for the price difference I think the LG is far better. I don’t need Office 365 in a monitor, or voice control in the remote, or that camera connection- I can pick up a decent webcam for less than $300 (or use continuity camera on iPhone for nothing).
@@ThatMarkGilroy can you elaborate please? even at same price point why would you sacrifice ergo stand for features you don't use?
@@GianniTamai I think you have it the other way round. I’m saying I wouldn’t sacrifice the ergo stand for features I don’t use.
@@ThatMarkGilroy you literally said that for same price you would get it the Samsung , curious why
@@GianniTamai Ah yes. I’ve just seen some weird info doing the rounds about the LG- this monitor keeps being discontinued and then relisted in certain regions which gives me some doubts about it. I probably trust Samsung as a brand more, but as I say- it’s a good price for a 4K UHD monitor of this size.
Both missing 3.5 audio jack
That for me is a deal breaker
Yeah, that’s why I use that desktop dock down the right hand side.
LG no longer available.....I cant find it
It seems to have been pulled in some regions. Still shows up on the US site but I’m not seeing it on the UK site anymore. www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-32sq780s-w
This model is on Amazon.
Just want to say don’t buy this monitor. The VA panel is terrible quality - text looks blurry and colors get all funky due to the abysmal viewing angle, which affect the edges of the monitor even when you’re sitting directly in front of it. I bought it but had to return it as the quality is just not acceptable for a monitor in 2023. I have a budget 1440p monitor from Dell from several years ago (but IPS, crucially) that outperforms this monitor hands down for productivity.
Man , I should have read your comment before getting this. Agree the picture quality is total crap especially when you move slightly to the side. My 10 year old 2k dell monitor easily outperform this 4k monitor
How is samsung m8 doing?
I don’t have it but it still gets good ratings from long term reviewers.
