LG’s webOS setup is fantastic, I have two TVs that use it and find the integration with apple devices to be really great. AirPods pair almost seamlessly. Casting is quick and easy.
I generally like your content a lot, but isn't it problematic to call a video about a product from LG a "review" when the video is itself sponsored by LG, and the text description of the video says that it was created in exchange for some sort of payment (in currency or goods) from LG? If something's being reviewed, readers/viewers want to be confident that the reviewer will tell them if a product is bad - but this is really hard to imagine in a video sponsored by the company that makes it.
Agree. It’s not about letting creators ‘make a buck’, it’s about journalistic integrity that the audience can be confident it’s an impartial review for the benefit of potential customers; not a bad product being shilled. Disappointing to see on this channel.
It's sponsored video like every sponsored video on youtube. Your points guys are unusual. Sponsorship is mentioned at the begging, what bad points do you want to hear? Are other UA-camrs talk about bad points in their sponsored videos?
Pulled the trigger after your Review and I’m very happy with the monitor . It’s in my office/ kitchen and the whole family can use it. Kids watch TV and mom and dad get work done. The Ergo arm was a huge selling point for me . I think as a society we are spoiled with the image quality arguments . It’s brilliant for what you pay for
The monitor is slow compared to all other monitors with same specs due to Web OS (Smart), if you are looking to buy a monitor to function as a TV more then its good. The speakers do not have base but the volume is extremely nice. It is a VA panel display and not IPS. I think the brightness is high even though specs-wise it is low. I tend to work in an environment that has 'curtains on' level light, and it is too bright in that situation even when I set the brightness of the monitor to 0. Also, in the UA-cam app, you cannot type using your mobile. Mobile Keyboard is not supported for some apps, so you will need to type using magic remote. I will not recommend this for daily 9-5 work or gaming, but only for TV-like purposes or some light work that does not require speed typing or clicking. I am returning this just to replace it for same specs without Web OS but with IPS Display. Probably buy 32un880 or 32bn880u.
Thank you for the review. I'm looking for a monitor for my father's PC and this looks like a decent option. They do have several other Ergo monitors and it looks like they'll be using the stand more going forward. It would make sense since they'll save a tonne and it's a huge selling point. I wouldn't be surprised if there's another monitor they do that's more suited to your specs.
Yeah their comparable monitor with IPS panel, 350 brightness, ergo even better more solid was 2,5 years ago $699. I talking about LG 32UN880-M, still available for $499. So new about equal this will be a Grand minimum I guess. And what you mentioned ##s in different models is $ 1200 +-

wow this monitor looks like a great package! I'm just wondering if 32 inches would be too big for my desk. What would be a good size of desk for a monitor like this?
I'm currently using an HP 32 in monitor on a desk that's 48 x 24 and it's been great (for me). If I wall mounted the monitor, I could probably get another 3 to 4 inches of distance between me and the panel but it's already a comfortable viewing angle. Not sure how big your desk is but hope that helps.
They do sometimes do a black and a white version of their monitors IIRC so it's worth looking out for in case it's available and they just shipped out the weird looking one for review.
Sleek. I wish they could hide the cables within the monitor arm itself.... better yet, some sort of "One Connect Box" at the base so you don't have a mess of cables.

Quality is better than Samsung M8 I had that POS for 4 months and kept getting dead pixels, but now this LG have issues with the remote. After turning off the monitor it will not turn back on with the remote, if you turn it on with the button on the back of the monitor, the remote control does not work at all. I contacted LG and they guided me how to “re-sync” the remote control with the monitor but same shit just happened again. FURIOUSSSSSS
I bought this based on your review. I have to say there's no way you actually used this monitor. Especially connected to the MacBook that you have in your video. The max refresh rate on a MacBook is 30 hertz not the 60 hertz as advertised. The lag when dragging the mouse across the screen is painfully slow. When connecting as an external monitor, you need to have the remote so you can select the External Input, otherwise it does not connect. Returning and buying some other monitor. I will NOT reply on paid UA-cam advertisements such as this one.
I wouldn’t have done the review if it was that bad Jack. 60hz works 100%. 30 is unusable indeed. You had to either check the cable or see if you had a faulty unit. Mine works flawlessly and I actually use it at home.
@@madsthygesen9476 No. I used 4k USB-C -> HDMI and that didn't help. I ended up buying the LG 32UN880-B 32" UltraFine Display. It supports 60 hertz on my MacBook Pro and works well.
Why....I have the Samsung M7 32-inch 4k, I like it, although the VA panel is pretty much a downgrade from a similiarly priced IPS panel, I would love if LG launched this with latest IPS tech....with better brightness and colors. I think the smart monitors already have too many things, that they have to cut the cost by using VA panel. If only they released a PRO or Ulltra version of this, with bit higher price but with best panels they can put (OLED, Mini-LED or even the new IPS Black ones). Thing is there are no top of the line 32-inch 4K monitors that are also Smart TVs.
LG entered the smart monitors bossiness after Samsung achieved great success hopefully in the near future only smart monitors are made! with their integrated speakers and remotes

Power issues since day 1. I will send it back this Friday for a full refund. First failure Samsung M8 and now this LG.. WTF 🤬
LG does not plan to sell this Monitor in Germany. What is wrong with them?
„Hey, LG I want to buy your product. It looks awesome.“
„No!“
😮
Nice video. Good work 👍. I prefer Samsung m8 though
Good choice as well

@@ThisIsE I'm waiting for the 60hz HDMI -> USB-C cable to arrive today. I'll try to remember to update here after I get new cable
@@JackFurrhow did the usb c to hdmi work out?
@@madsthygesen9476 No. I used 4k USB-C -> HDMI and that didn't help. I ended up buying the LG 32UN880-B 32" UltraFine Display. It supports 60 hertz on my MacBook Pro and works well.
@@JackFurrThank you. I hope i can fix this when i shift to My macbook pro!

Can you compare it to the Samsung m8 please 😅
Why....I have the Samsung M7 32-inch 4k, I like it, although the VA panel is pretty much a downgrade from a similiarly priced IPS panel, I would love if LG launched this with latest IPS tech....with better brightness and colors.
I think the smart monitors already have too many things, that they have to cut the cost by using VA panel. If only they released a PRO or Ulltra version of this, with bit higher price but with best panels they can put (OLED, Mini-LED or even the new IPS Black ones). Thing is there are no top of the line 32-inch 4K monitors that are also Smart TVs.
can u make an updated IPHONE SETUP video 📼
Will do

LG entered the smart monitors bossiness after Samsung achieved great success hopefully in the near future only smart monitors are made! with their integrated speakers and remotes
Absolutely. It’s a great trend that should turn in the new default
