Have had Fanatec products for 4 years now and zero issues so far upgraded everything a month ago formula v2.5, gt dd pro and v2 pedals hope i still have my 2 year warranty if they get bought out feel like they are a brand that offers high end and low end so they have something for everyone hope they dont just dissapear since they have been leading in the develoment for cheaper direct drive bases and pushing the limits on that would be sad to see them go
I always liked Fanatec. I used the csl elite wheel base for like 3 years. Had a problem with it after one year. Contacted the support and they helped me right away. I send the damaged wheel base to them and only 1 week later I received a new one. Upgraded to the podium wheel base in November 2022 and since then it’s working pretty well. I think the price to quality and funktions at fanatec was always good
Got no time for fanatec and dont care if they go under, so far only one of 6 items i bought has not gone back with issues, they claimed they could not replicate the problems and returned them not fixed, only one was replaced and one I returned and had a full refund, and it took upto 2 months to go through the whole process each time. A joke of a company.

For me is simple, two reasons: - too many changes in model compatibility quick release etc; - they did not invested in the console market.. the console bundles are too expensive up to a X3 the console price.. out of world
Had my Fanatec CSL DD base, Formula V2.5X wheel and CSL Elite V2 pedals since February this year with no issues. Really love the quality and performance compared to my previous Thrustmaster TMX Pro and Loadcell pedals (which were very good). Hope they get saved (taken over), and continue making great products, but with wiser spending. Corsair could well be trying to acquire Endor AG for a cheaper price, so will watch with interest 🙏
Contrary to what I hear from most I’ve actually have a very positive experience with Fanatec as far as getting my orders quickly and on time as well having no issues with their products. I have a CSL DD, Formula V2.5X, CSL Elite V2s, and just upgraded to the QR2 system. Edit: I guess it is worth mentioning that my CSL Load Cell kit for my old pedal set did stop working and couldn’t be recognized by the PC after 2 years of use. I think it’s something that can be fixed inexpensively but I kinda needed to upgrade anyways. Gas and clutch still worked fine.
First off, thank you for sharing this tidbit of info. and well worth listening to. With that being said, last week I purchased the Fanatec csl DD pro base then 6 hours later I heard about the bankruptcy thing. I then started to worry. But all is not lost. My base & boost kit showed up like it was Christmas. Absolutely no problem at all. Updated firmware, hopped in gt7 and away I went. OMG this thing is so much better than csl elite. So, I wouldn't be too worried about ordering from fanatec. They may have some financial problems (big) but they for sure are still filling orders. I'm happy with it. Even beat some of my old records. I pray they get a handle on it. Happy racing. Cheers!
Ultimately this falls entirely on the CEO. Your whole job with that company is to ensure they are making money. The fact that they fired their previous CEO definitely played a huge role in this.
I bought a Fanatec setup 2 months ago... I've used it for maybe a total of a day worth of play time and the brake has stopped working. Using the v3 non inverted. I didn't upgrade them with the brake performance kit as it's out of stock so I never made any adjustments out of the box. No input registered at all. Filed a claim through support then did the video demonstrating the issue and now waiting. A lot of money to spend for very little use before needing to rely on a warranty... and I'm sure this will be a "please pay out of your pocket to ship them to us" situation. I already have more time spent diagnosing, following their guides of uninstalling/reinstalling drivers and submitting info for a warranty than actual time racing. 1500 was really my cap for this as I'm just a guy that enjoys a race here and there but wanted more than logitech offered. The length of this comment shows the amount of regret setting in.
I hope they find a way to bounce back. Aside from the crazy Black Friday Orders debacle, I’ve had nothing but great experiences with them & I love the products (basically my entire setup as a console racer). Plus the market needs all the competition it can take.
When a company has the majority of market share there will always be a small percentage of customers who receive a faulty products. It’s how the business deals with this that counts and yes Fanatec have failed on this bigtime. I’ve owned multiple Fanatec wheel bases, csl elite, csw 2.5, csl dd and and just about to receive the Clubsport DD+ i’ve had no faults and great customer service. Maybe I was just lucky or that people don’t like to share a good experience. Simracing is a small community and boy do we like to judge and complain if it’s not about other people driving it’s about a product issues. Right now as a community we should be supporting Fanatec get back on their feet. After all they have driven down the prices and brought great competition to the market. But supporting a company recover isn’t as popular as supporting their demise..
I don't understand why the opinions about Fanatec are so different. Has it to do which country you live? My experience with Fanatec is very positive and i have 3 configurations. As well with delivery as well with repair (broken steering wheel en display problems). De delivery time was short and i had a repaired steering wheel within 10 days. There is one thing which they can improve and that is there response on questions.
Unfortunate. I love my CSL DD F1 bundle with loadcell. It all works perfectly, arrived on time, no complaints. Ashame I may not have access to first party accessories, wheel rims and whatnot in the future. RIP Also glad the Corsair purchase didn't go through though. I have a variety of their products from RAM to mice, and they are VERY hit or miss. While my RAM works fine, which is expected as they probably just purchase the sticks and slap RGB on them, their mid range mice are ABYSMAL and the software that goes with it is EXTRA TRASH. So yeah, thankful Fanatec didn't fall into the hands of a company that would have ultimately turned the products, pricing, and entire company into garbage.

If it is not so durable, or there are quality control and design problems, then the price should be reduced to solve this problem. Obviously, they put profit first. The market for mid-to-high-end steering wheels is originally very small, because the people who have this demand are extremely niche, almost only fanatical racing game enthusiasts need this kind of product. Most people only need relatively low-end products. The advantage of relatively low-end products is that once there is a problem with the product, it will be easier to replace it. But mid-to-high-end products are different. Mid-to-high-end products have been sold at high prices, so they should have considerable quality, otherwise it is a fraud. I think they have already suffered customer churn, so they chose to put everything on marketing and advertising without giving up more profits. This operation is a bit like Ferrari and McLaren, although they are companies that produce different products. But they all put profits on advertising, which is a huge gamble. If the gamble fails, even if they gain enough popularity, they will still go bankrupt. This is why advertising and marketing expenses are so high. Because they are no longer enough to increase customers, and existing customers are losing due to quality issues. If they can solve the problem and retain old customers, this strategy is effective. Otherwise, it is a vicious cycle that will accelerate the company's death.
Mostly good experience aside from random loss of turning on the wheel which needs a restart. Shame to see them go under hopefully someone buys them out and continues the good work
Literally bought QR2 last night mere hours before this was announced, I've heard of all their problems but my gear came fast when I ordered, never had any issues, their products are great, just seems their CEO went way too deep and couldn't handle it all, hopefully I get my QR2 and I hope they can be bought out and continue to stay in business.
Fanatec is a crazy company for me. It kinda reminds my of Canyon (bikes) for some reason (new player in an old industry with giants but with a new direct sale concept and in that the leader) but they did everything wrong and the opposite to canyon. The fact that they can't get their production and international support on board breaks every neck. Going absolutely crazy on marketing while these problems aren't fixed breakls even more your neck?? Once I was 100% going with fanatec in the future, now it is more like 50%. Let's see if they even a choice in the future
Still like my csl elite with the f1 esports wheel. Im not a hard core racer tho just fun and it still fills the needs. Much better than the Thrustmaster t300 I owned
i had an issue with my wheelbase 2 years ago, support was very slow but they solved it...februar this year i bought the clubsport racing wheel f1 and the new wheel had an issue...i wrote the support about 12 times and also called them a few times but no reaction...now they are insolvency and i don't know what to do
Is it just me when creators/ esports drivers say to make ur fanatec tuning menu sensitivity to the same as the in game one. For them their irl and in-game wheel are 1-1 but for me it isn’t even close to that. Has this happened to anyone else? For reference I used the podium wheel base dd2 and the clubsport steering wheel formula v2.5X for Xbox.
I have been using fanatec for the last 6 years with heavy use, iv had the same clubsport v2.5 the hole time, sent it back once for a rebuild and haven't had a problem since. But I have always said Fanatec is good/the best untill it's not....
Go from that to a T GT 2 GREAT wheel. More realistic force feedback and it does not have the problems the T300 has. It's not direct drive but in my opinion the best belt driven wheel there is!

Explains why they couldn’t develop a team to have a true Xbox compatibility. I was using Fanatec Porsche Turbo wheel with the Xbox 360. Once the Xbox One hit, that wheel was a sad paper weight. There wasn’t decent wheel for the Xbox one for awhile. I have the CSL DD, clubsport pedals and formula wheel. The products are insanely built. The firmware is horrendous.
I think Fanatec downfall started when EA took over codmasters. I think buying a Fanatec 4 years ago or longer you would be fine.. but especially in the last year or 2 the problems became present and appeared more often!.

You actually need to rev out the gears quite excessively since the ratios are so long on this game. Can try it yourself when comparing against a delta!
well I'll try to tell the truth without being mean so if you ordered a wheel a handbrake a shifter and a pedal set from fan Tech they weren't gonna ship it to you until they had all four ready to go they would sell your petals they would sell your hand break they didn't care CUSTOMER SERVICE 91 days to get a broken shifter two weeks later my email has still not been attended to I told myself on that day that I was done number three terrible management decisions ego got the better of them a gigantic oversized building with a go kart track on top do you really think that was necessary when you're in debt up to your eyeballs number four rob Peter to pay Paul everybody talks about the hundred million euros they made well they had $100 million in orders and they would take the money you gave them to buy parts I'm sorry but that's just fraudulent in every way they got booted from Amazon when you don't have a presence on Amazon something fishy going on that we don't know about also Sony refused to certify the new DD pro also the other DD models were only Sony compatible not Sony certified number five other companies stepped in such as logitech with bigger better units instead of the low end stuff they got into the mid area I think fanatec paniced and made stupid business decisions number six you cannot have debt and a boatload of shareholders this is why no one wants the company because they don't want to take on that load of debt and the shareholders. and finally customer service customer service customer service of which they had very little for the last 10 years their own blogs were full of people complaining about not getting their issues and problems resolved they also didn't manage their supply chain and they didn't have chips and they couldn't find any because of piss poor management decisions I'm sorry but no companies going to survive with all these problems the main one is debt no one wants to buy your debt when thrust and Logitech are coming out with units to compare favorably to your device for less money without customer service reputation that Fanatec has/had. you can only go so long as your reputation crumbles it's not just the customers that liked fanatec products you can't coexist in business without dealing with other large businesses and when they see that you're unreliable or might have a problem with finances they don't want to front you any inventory they want their cash upfront and the banks would not lend them anymore money and now they don't want to give them more time to pay that debt back I don't see an out for and I wouldn't send them a dime and why are they still sending out emails like I got day before yesterday asking me to buy the new DD pro when I know damn well they don't have the product in inventory and it's not PlayStation certified which means the next grand Turismo which is a giant market will not be playable on fanatec devices other than incompatible mode I could go on but I think I've bloviated enough

I've had and used my CLS wheel and pedals for 3 years. Never had any problems and I personally consider them to have been great value for money!
Saw the writing on the wall and after years with Fanatec. Went to Simagic equipment when it was time to upgrade. No regrets.

well I'll try to tell the truth without being mean so if you ordered a wheel a handbrake a shifter and a pedal set from fan Tech they weren't gonna ship it to you until they had all four ready to go they would sell your petals they would sell your hand break they didn't care CUSTOMER SERVICE 91 days to get a broken shifter two weeks later my email has still not been attended to I told myself on that day that I was done number three terrible management decisions ego got the better of them a gigantic oversized building with a go kart track on top do you really think that was necessary when you're in debt up to your eyeballs number four rob Peter to pay Paul everybody talks about the hundred million euros they made well they had $100 million in orders and they would take the money you gave them to buy parts I'm sorry but that's just fraudulent in every way they got booted from Amazon when you don't have a presence on Amazon something fishy going on that we don't know about also Sony refused to certify the new DD pro also the other DD models were only Sony compatible not Sony certified number five other companies stepped in such as logitech with bigger better units instead of the low end stuff they got into the mid area I think fanatec paniced and made stupid business decisions number six you cannot have debt and a boatload of shareholders this is why no one wants the company because they don't want to take on that load of debt and the shareholders. and finally customer service customer service customer service of which they had very little for the last 10 years their own blogs were full of people complaining about not getting their issues and problems resolved they also didn't manage their supply chain and they didn't have chips and they couldn't find any because of piss poor management decisions I'm sorry but no companies going to survive with all these problems the main one is debt no one wants to buy your debt when thrust and Logitech are coming out with units to compare favorably to your device for less money without customer service reputation that Fanatec has/had. you can only go so long as your reputation crumbles it's not just the customers that liked fanatec products you can't coexist in business without dealing with other large businesses and when they see that you're unreliable or might have a problem with finances they don't want to front you any inventory they want their cash upfront and the banks would not lend them anymore money and now they don't want to give them more time to pay that debt back I don't see an out for and I wouldn't send them a dime and why are they still sending out emails like I got day before yesterday asking me to buy the new DD pro when I know damn well they don't have the product in inventory and it's not PlayStation certified which means the next grand Turismo which is a giant market will not be playable on fanatec devices other than incompatible mode I could go on but I think I've bloviated enough
