I think its just a really complex game where its hard to get traction, I've had the game for a couple of years and I'm still learning how to build my first ship
Missiles are great in the early game where very few enemies have any defences against them, or in massive barrages that simply overwhelm defences, but the downsides of them are that such barrages may cost more materials than they do in damage, and more importantly, that they are pretty much the most easily countered weapon in the game. (Lasers can also be countered with stacked smoke and shields, but can also be tweaked to be less-countered). That said, torpedoes (where appropriate), can be one of the most cost-effective weapons in the whole game against targets partially below the water. I think the only time I ever focused heavily on missiles in a Neter campaign was a submarine only campaign, and even there all my mid and late game submarines had advanced cannons and railguns to fight everything that torpedoes couldn't. Subs only was a pretty difficult challenge I found, especially against flying enemies where my torps couldn't be used to end the fight fast.
Couple things ive noticed. Missile spam is cool but seeing other weapon types would be epic. Exposed mantlets=bad For the doves, might want to focus on their ability to dodge so they don't get hit as much, since as you've shown they can be hit by crams. also since you take a liking to missile systems, might benefit from having dedicated interceptors. Sorry if I sound like a backseat admiral or whatnot just pointing things out that you may or may not benefit from.
imo the biggest cause of the cram issues is just because they are closing range for no reason. The missiles are good out to a long range, no reason to be firing them from point blank.
For the name on the new hover craft perhaps stick with the bird naming theme and with something like "Owl' or another bird. Great video, can't wait to see more!
Don’t know if you have named your hover machine yet but it is reminiscent of Protoss design from StarCraft 2. However it may also be nice to keep a theme going. You have the dove, how about the Crane?
As we saw in the first fight, they're not great at dodging (critical for such small crafts) and the missiles aren't very effective against big or tough designs. They're good ships, they do the job, but there's still room to improve. I hope Kipalo keeps playing FtD so we can watch his skills grow with more experience.
My used laptop that cost me $30 has a ryzen 3 cpu and it runs okay on it. Check out your local pawn shops or computer repair shops for a cheap decent PC.
8:40 "I think they are gonna have a hard time hitting them"
*Nosedives into a cram shell*
"I think one Dove can do it. I feel confident."
"He cut the Dove in half!" ;)
Famous last words lol
Great video, the edits keep the action flowing.
Always nice to see more FTD content. Instant like/sub from me! Really wish this game was more popular. Thanks =)
Glad you enjoy! More to come!

@@imeistro9219 mine kinda fall apart completely as soon as the build is done lol
@@imeistro9219 i think the game's poor optimization has a much bigger impact on its popularity
I totally agree with you wolf this game is so amazing I wish more people would see how good it is

Eyyy, finally new FTD UA-camrs
You've gained yourself a new follower my friend!

Not a bad idea. After the video ended I decided to go with the "Flying Squid." Not quite a bird, but close enough.
I think the name "Hawk" goes well with the missle dropper.
My guy is back

Thanks for the suggestion, but I ended up going with the Flying Squid.

reminds me of 2013 UA-cam videos
I hope you mean in a good way. tbh, I'm very influenced by very 7 year old Lathland and Robbaz FTD videos, so that could be why.
@@kipalo1480 i think he means stuff like your mic, voice overs and lets play type videos
My man built one ship and already outdid half of mine lmao
how does ships fly i dont think its caled ships anymore:)
Is them fast ships of yours on workshop
how do you power the doves en the test hover? because they use alot of power so im curious.
I just use a prefab-balanced fuel engine. It's very compact so you can just stick them anywhere.
do you plan on putting these on the workshop.
If you want. I could put it up.
@@kipalo1480sure
call it the Citadel
good idea, but I already named it "Flying Squid"
Do you have the workshop for the dove
No, I do not, but it probably doesn't work anymore after the latest update anyway.
Name it Artichoke, lol.
lol
"oh we won"...
God I can't wait to buy a good PC to play this game
Update: I have bought a good pc and already have 45 hrs into it.
This is a game from 2014-2015 I used to run this game on a potato laptop from 2010.
