[Episode 1] From the Depths - The Quest for Neter

- Welcome to Season 1 of From the Depths! This series will go through our conquest of Neter and all of our failures. In this campaign I try to stick to more realistic building styles and weapons so no PACs, Plasma, or railguns. I probably will use some lasers as they aren't too far off real life but very rarely. I am a big fan of WW2 era warships so most of my designs will probably mimic that with some more modern elements (lots of missiles).
I forgot to put the difficulty settings in the episode so here they are.
Damage Difficulty: 250%
Enemy Growth Factor: 160%
Resource Given by Destroying Enemy: 2%
Combat Challenge: 2
Threat Perception: 1

Thanks! I try to stick with realistic ships it’s just where i have the most fun. Some of the ships in the later videos aren’t as finished but i’m still working on them.
The reason the small missiles on the valerian weren’t hitting is most likely because the duster doesn’t have a big enough infrared return for the missiles to track it accurately. Also, ctrl + r to hide the resources view, will help to declutter the ui in battles and on the map screen 💯. Nice to see more people making ftd content! I’ll be interested to see how you deal with the other factions
I wish I knew about that shortcut sooner lmfao I usually go into the map view to disable it and just forget sometimes. Thanks for the support!
So far everything looks good in terms of gameplay recording, but the FOV throws me off a bit, gonna watch ep 2 now :D

Just got into FtD today, but MAN it is complex as all hell... throughout all of today, 10 hours or so, i barely got a halfway controllable "ship" (more cube than ship xD) and like the weakest of the weak enemies blew it to bits within seconds xD
I promise I will eventually make a guide to a starter ship!!
yeah well now you just have to learn all the weapons, engines, maybe even 3 stage fuel engines, armoring effectively and all the ammo types for all the weapons. lets put it this way currently im 150h into my newest battlecruiser and its not even anywhere close to being done
Just got from the depths. It looks fun.
It is a very addicting game.
As a depthian i wish you the best of luck, and will just say join the discord server they have can offer the help that everyone will need learning this game.
@@khoa9834 May look into that myself. Tried the game years ago and I felt like I needed a phd to understand the building system.
You don't need one-turns on radar guided missiles btw, it has a 180 degree radius of detection
This is true but since these are "deck" launched I have a one turn on them as I have found it greatly increase the chance of them pointing at the target before overshooting them.
@@SoapScav I just put a delay on the thrusters (rightclick on the thruster component if you didn't know) so that they already turn towards the target before jetting off.
Against small targets, it helps them a lot. The one-turn can get the missile close enough to a small target to pick up their radar signature. You can always switch it out later when you're only fighting bigger vehicles.

I wish I had a pc to play this. Bought it years ago on my laptop but couldn't run it. My laptop broke years ago and haven't been able to afford one. But I would.play this game for hours. It's so good
You earn a subcriber. I want to beat campaign but my skill is lacking, maybe by watching you and other youtubers i can have little bit more knowledge and beat it.

Please, when modifing a shell, you can right click to put the seccion you put last time, so if your gonna place 2 he warhead body's, you put one, then go to the next slot and press right click, it givem me anxiety when u click one by one lol

All my crams have been horrible lmfao but I may try them again. I plan on making some tutorials soon though to help people learning.

Damnit, what does your "SNS" stand for? I've been using SNS as my ships' prefix for a little while now, thought it was unique. Mine is "Sintanian Navy Ship". "Sintania" being my made-up country.
SNS on my ships stands for “Scavver navy ship” lol your country is a lot better then my made up one!
