Just beat this game for the first time after years and years of never getting past the first parts of it Not only was this the first video that I watched related to the game after beating it, but also is my favorite speedrunning run ever, despite not being that big of a run I enjoyed watching it :)
Following this, and another video about the Catoblepas warp allowed me to get the achievement on Castlevania Advance Collection. I am curious why my whip was dealing significantly less damage against Graham, but it's all good. Well played 😁
@@BerixSeems like I didn't. I read about it, but only saw one orb. Maybe I did too much on the way, or somehow "oopsed". All good though. Wish I could give a double like, plus another for the orb I missed 😄😄
@@mikelyczak1384 You can get 4 from Manticore, but uh, while not a TAS-only trick, it's very hard. Can also get two from Creaking Skull and thats not as hellish
/@@Berix Wow, 4? well, all I was going for was to finish the game as Julius. But, this does pique my interest for later potential romps. I'll be certain to keep this in mind later on.
Julius gains "levels" by picking up boss orbs. Manticore has a glitch where you can get two boss orbs from one kill (a somewhat recent new glitch allows for 4 orbs from manticore, but that's not this route). It's fast enough to kill Manticore and get 2 extra orbs/levels given the time it saves on the Graham fight.
It's dumb and a wasted opportunity that we don't get to fight evil Soma in Julius mode. The dev should've let the game continues after killing Graham and turned evil Soma as the final boss in Chaotic Realm rather than Chaos itself.

Probably didn’t get double orb from Manticore. Each boss orb increases your damage.

what was the purpose to to unlock the teleport then go to church and kill manticore just to go back and continue the route?
I think if you don't do that the out of bounds trick fails

That's a good explanation.

No. That’s a Dawn of Sorrow thing.
