Those who greatly dislike that Aria of Sorrow's main character isn't related to the Belmont clan whatsoever can safely relax, because the powerhouse known as Julius Belmont enters the stage in the relatively short run of this Castlevania installment.
Julius is only available to those who have completed the main quest ( tasvideos.org/3823M ). While he can't do most of Soma Cruz's fancy tricks, he can get around just as quickly by glitching through walls and hopping madly around the castle, producing almost inhuman sounds with every jump.
This TAS aims to defeat Chaos (the final boss in the main game) in Julius mode, but is normally not accessible in Julius mode. However, it can be accessed in Julius mode if the player manages to avoid clearing in-event flags, which would disable the fight. After defeating Chaos, Julius clips out of the room, enters boss rush, then proceeds to the Graham boss fight.
Note: This movie starts where a main quest TAS left off. We do not usually accept movies beginning from a save. Please read the rules ( tasvideos.org/MovieRules#Movi... ) to see our reasons. - Ігри

W H A T ! ?
He did beat Chaos and then he went to Boss Rush section!?
CV-AoS TASes never fails to entertain me!
I didn't understand anything brah
Actually, the room used for the boss rush is just the room found after defeating balore
Bruh bouncing on Graham's head was pretty hilarious.
Why is it that the most popular and first comment always spoils stuff, always always happens.
Yea! Hehe
@@DruidVorse
Why do you care about spoilers on a tool assisted speedrun though?
I know, spoilers are bad, but whats the point of caring when you're watching a less than 10 minutes video?
@DruidVorse
Then why are you even here? A TAS speedrun WILL contain some spoilers even if the dialogue isn't in this mode. Plus, Julius himself is spoiled in this video right away since his full first name and him being a Belmont isn't revealed until after beating the Balore.
so THIS is what it's like when he's not holding back
All of this at age 56. Now imagine him not holding back in his prime.
Soma: i need to beat chaos to save my soul
Julius: no, you stay here like a good boy
Boy
A Belmont being the Perfect Grandpa for Kid Dracula
I love how Julius stares down the embodiment of chaos, an entity with its own realm, time and space, and the Belmont decides to throw an axe at it just to piss off the primordial being even more.
Well, after he rubbed the Holiness of Lord Jesus Christ in his Three Faces 😅
I love how Julius just rushed in to beat his own ass for shits and giggles
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Wake up, Soma." "Young lady, i am not Soma." ECKS DEE
😂😂
"Wake up babe, you just slept through your own game."
The rapid dive kicking sounds like Sans talking.
ES VERDAD XDDDD
I like the part where the guy bounced very quickly up and down.
Divekick hop is really manipulative
Beat Chaos so hard it warped him to Boss Rush mode. This was one of the craziest TAS's I have seen in a long time. Well done.
01:41, 02:43 - This could be a new category for Julius speedruns. "Literally All Bosses". The TAS community never fails to blow me away!
Been a while since we have seen MAJOR breakthroughs in AoS TASes!
Not only you beat Doppelganger Julius and Chaos. But you beat the elusive Boss Rush version of Man Eater too. lol
Por qué aparece ese señor en Boss Rush?
**kicks floor in anger**
Now I see how Julius got amnesia: it was from all the times he rammed his head into the ceiling.
We need to get terminal montage to find this.
JULIUS FIGHTING JULIUS WAS AMAZING
Now with 40% more ULE!
Ah yes, the adventure of Jack Garland, vampire hunter and chaos destroyer.
Also, TIL the skull crown in the Graham fight has a hurtbox
Even by Aria of Sorrow TAS standards that was pretty dang broken.
Y'know, I never realized you could damage the "skull halo" (that shoots blue beams from above) in Graham's 2nd form.
it seems like walls are merely a suggestion in this game
That's because you didn't saw the HOD tas, 90% the tas is wall warping
Walls are a mere suggestion to Julius Belmont.
This is, by far, the craziest Julius mode I've seen to date.
Julius sounding like he's giving everyone a bad time
And he was successfully
Ule/10
UHUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUEH
So you're telling me Julius has an evil twin and can even hold souls?
It is a Doppelganger.
Uleule!!!
That Axe throw on Chaos at the start of phase 2 made me chuckle.
Can't spell Julius belmont without Ule!
U L E H
Good to know the aria community still relevant and active
To beat Chaos, you must be even more chaotic, you must be Chaos itself!
Death just hangs out all day in Dracs' castle????? Checks out.
This is really cool, glitch lore in the glitch ending. Idk how to write this one, it makes little sense, its as if chaos constructed this extra challenge for Julius, to finish dracula but only being able to rescue Mina, pretty interesting, its like an incomplete sequel bait ending or something, wich makes sense because this is a glitch.
So why does beating Chaos as Julius cause him to warp to the Boss Rush?
So according to the submission text, after beating Chaos, Julius is warped to the room that holds Soma's ending object. Soma's ending doesn't work for Julius, so it just ends up with him in a blank empty room. The TASers then clip Julius into the boss rush (which exists in a separate part of the map from the main castle, but on the map, so it can be accessed by going OOB) and beat Graham there in order to trigger Julius's ending.
Which ends up looking more like Soma's ending, presumably because of event flags and the unintended way it was triggered. It's a pretty interesting scenario, programming-wise.
@@pawstepsinthesnow❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Because Julius is him.
*U L E*
Not enough *ULEULEULE* , 6/10
I'm here to kill Chaos.
There wasn't a single second I understood what was happening. And I'm okay with that
5:27 where he's just hopping on Graham just made my day
Awesome
YOOOOOOO THEY FUCKING DID IT

Julius vs julius me:what the fu…
And this is Julius being rusty!
WTF one week it take me to complete te game... Holy H*L
ULE
Was that... was that a quad orb on manticore?
Hey, do you mind explaining why it's surprising? I think the TAS was cool, but I've never played AoS. I assume you mean the way he like moved by a pixel four times after hitting the Manticore Orb?
@@GuanlongX as you might know, every boss in julius mode drops an orb when they're defeated, it's supposed to be only one, and they raise julius' stats like a level up. it's possible for a human to get two out of manticore, with some clever hit placement, i believe with or without subweapon usage. but i have never seen, not even a TAS run, get not two, not three, but four orbs out of a single boss. that is huge
Yep, it's four orbs. The TAS submission comments mention a new double-orb glitch that can be done on several other bosses. They pull this off on Manticore, along with the already-known double glitch, to get 2*2 = 4 total orbs.
@@sleepyren_ so is it a hitboxes thing, or an RNG thing, or something else? how do you get more than one?
@@GuanlongX I believe the way it works for Manticore is that technically the tail is a separate object from the rest of the body; normally, there's logic in the main body to only drop one orb when Manticore dies, but you can glitch the game into spawning the orb for the tail also.
I dont have any idea what the fuck just happened there and there

I even felt bad for Headhunter, he even didn't last 20 seconds. 🥺 Well, like the others, but Headhunter looked like the weakest lol.
XD But so funny rush.
Download link?
I had to come here and clean my eyes from the stain that was castlevania nocturne
Why beating chaos is not the end of the run?
because in julius mode, the last boss is graham
and if you beat chaos in julius mode it will send you to boss rush mode
@@ananda5622 beating Chaos actually places julius OOB (because Soma's ending trigger doesn't function properly in Julius mode) and then the TAS clips him into the boss rush map from there. The submission text linked in the description actually goes into a lot of detail on how this run works-- I recommend anyone curious read it!
Esta enfermo xD
It's 2023 and Konami is busy milking a dead franchise like Silent Hill instead of continuing Julius quest on his heir Belmont.
Its 2024 and Konami is still milking dead franchises and not making a Julius Belmont game. They hate money ig.
@@somersaultinggiraffe1901 goddamn, but gotta admit they hire good writers for Netflix series
Methinks there was some cheating going on.
This is a tool assisted speedrun. That's kind of what you do in a tool assisted speedrun. You use tools like auto mashers, rng manipulators, and save states to create the fastest hypothetical run of the game possible that is possible within the scope of the game's code.
