Hey everyone I just fixed mine. Here is the solve. Go to Settings --> General management--> Keyboard list and default--> toggle on Keyboard button on navigation bar. Hope that helps 😊
Thank you that fixed it
Thank you so much, I've been trying to fix this for months to no avail😭 so happy to have my voice input button back
Thank you!
God bless you, bro. This was a lifesaver. I don't know why they don't make it automatically like this
Thank you for that
You can also put the input on the spacebar. To do this, go to the Samsung keyboard settings, then go to Swipe, touch, and feedback. Next, go to Touch and hold spacebar and select Voice input.
Thanks!
Thank you
Thanks!
Thank you very much!
Voice input is grayed out in this menu?
Thank you!!!! Have had this new phone for 3 weeks now and nothing was helping with this...until now!!! Much appreciated 👏
OMG thanks for the help. Samsung why put it there?????
Thank you so much! I have watched so many videos but nothing worked. Your tutorial works!!
OHHHHHHH THATS WHERE IT WENT! Thank you so much!!
Thanks! This was driving me crazy
couldnt find the mic button for life of me!! thank you!
Great tutorial, it helped me out. Thanks.
This isn't working on my phone?
Same 😢
Just figured it out. Keyboard list and default -> keyboard button on navigation bar-> enable it
@oshanijayawardane9640 perplexes me why samsung didn't turn this on by default
Awesome, thank you so much
@@oshanijayawardane9640 THANK YOU
Thank you! I found the voice to text and enabled Google but I didn't notice the icon at the bottom.. I was looking for voice text mode. So now it's voice to text.. it makes more since to leave it as it is... it's Voice Texting.. voice "To" text is over kill and passes up the meaning of the true function. The microphone icon at the bottom is really a cool idea.. seems at least I won't have to switch over at the top to find the microphone icon after editing manually. For people with dexterity problems with their hands and to be able to voice text is a lifesaver. But it tends to cut off rather quick I noticed. For a slow talking Southerner that that's not a good. It's black being interrupted in the middle of something you're trying to say when you trying to choose your words carefully. Google's voice search engine is the same way it feels like you've been interrupted for your even done asking your question. like most people when you feel like you've been interrupted in a Yankee kinda way. I feel like saying something about it. It's rude and can pissed some people of. It's cut me off before I could decide if I need to punctuation or to add on to my sentence or to finish it with a period. Any idea if that can be modified with a couple of seconds of a delay before cutting off?
Thank you so much bro I was going crazy trying to figure this out
Hi this is an amazing video thank you so much helped me so much
Thank you so much. I would have never figured that out.👍
Just bought the Samsung s24 yesterday. When I voice text the date it would write it out in words instead of putting the number . Any number I wanted anywhere in the text, it would just spell it out instead of putting the actual number. Thank you so much for this UA-cam information
Thank you very much!
THANK YOUUUU!!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
T hank you so much, I would never have found it on my own
Thanks for this!
My pleasure!
works for me. Thx
Thank you
Just bought a brand new 24ultra. Doesnt work. Bullshit
If the microphone icon is not showing, look under "keyboard list and default", then on the bottom, turn on "Keyboard button on navigation bar"
Why does it keep disappearing?
Thats what I want to know@@juliemyers6743
just completed on new S24... mic at the VERY BOTTOM left hand corner of phone....easy to miss. Thanks for a great video worked fine...easy peasy
welcome
THANK U SM OMFG I COULDNT FIND IT @@WebproeducationOrgTechnology
Thank you brotha 🙏🏿
No problem
It only works for the message I used to change the settings - not all my messages. How do I fix that?
My Samsung galaxy s24 ultra phone does not show/ allow me to choose google keyboard. Not able to click Google option. Any suggestions. FIGURE OUT HOW TO CHANGE TO GOOGLE KEYBOARD BUT THE MICROPHONE DOES NOT SHOW @ THE BOTTOM SCREEN . GGRR.
Ugh, Thanks soo much... I didn't realize the Microphone Icon had been moved to bottom left... I was going mad.
Your so welcome @Ellazara.Glad it helped.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Can you move the mic icon to opposite side?
I want to move the voice input button to the top or bottom on the right side of keyboard is there a way of doing thay?
I was trying to figure out the same thing but looks like it can't be done. I think they played the microphone button in the worst possible place
Yes they did. It's good thank for getting back to me
Tks ❤
Thk
How can I get the same keyboard as the one you have? My keyboard has waaay too many gaps it looks awful
Also the letters are so big
Nope. Followed step by step. No microphone appears on my keyboard with either option
I had to search for the microphone icon - extreme lower left, which is different from where it was located on my S21
Don't work
From the keyboard settings screen, press back, it should land you in 'Keyboard List & Default' then toggle on 'Keyboard button on navigation bar' then the microphone symbol appears
SAME...WAAAAY down bottom left hand corner... very easy to miss
@@RefreshingArtomg!!!!! Finally!!! Thank you. You just saved me!!!!! Fkn stupid updates took this feature away. Your instructions worked!
thank you 😭😭 why didn't samsung explain this
I actually couldn't find where the microphone button was since they updated my phone they put the microphone in a different place
doesn't work in spotify for me
another great video
The new update they used for s23 Ultra what's the microphone at the bottom lower half which I'm right-handed this phone is huge. This is ridiculous to say the least.
It's not Too Bad. LoL. Thanks King
How do you use punctuation with voice to text? I’m used to saying, “question mark” for it to be added, but now it literally spells out the words “question mark”.
It seems like you're experiencing an issue with the iPhone's dictation feature inserting random commas into your sentences, even when you don't intend for them to be there. This problem appears to have started after upgrading to iOS 16.
To address your question about using punctuation with voice to text, it's recommended to use specific phrases to indicate punctuation marks. For example, you can say "period" to insert a period at the end of a sentence, "comma" to insert a comma, "question mark" to insert a question mark, and so on.
However, it seems like the new version of iOS is oversensitive to pauses, which is causing the dictation feature to insert commas randomly. Some users have reported that turning off "Smart Punctuation" and "Auto-Punctuation" in the keyboard settings can help alleviate this issue.
So on my s24 my messages I have a choice to use Google messages or the old text way that I'm use to. I chose the Google messages. There is no voice input there. I tried to follow your instructions but it won't show me that. Can you please help me. I like my microphone voice input. What do I do?
Settings, general management, keyboard list and default, keyboard button on navigation bar.
This will show the microphone icon on the bottom left corner, which is not ideal, but it's better than nothing
Right after I messaged you. My eyes went to the corner and I was like WHAT!! Why is it there lol...Thank you. Learning so much with this new phone
No problem, just wish it was at the top like the other keyboard shortcuts...
How do you move the microphone?
@ericmayer9447 new "innovation", so gotta complain to samsung until they fix it or switch to Google keyboard
Thank you very much
You're most welcome!
Good morning how are you
I like my s24 ultra a lot but damn, Samsung's voice typing / speech to text is so horrible! I mean it's a nearly useless. It makes me constantly correct nearly every line. It's punctuation is awful and it's spelling of certain words is even worse. I use google speech recognition and it's night and day better but then I have to verbally say the punctuation out loud. Why is that?! Why do i have to say "period" to google when it works flawlessly on the google pixel 8 and 8 pro without saying the punctuation verbally?
I'm honestly asking here.. What am I doing wrong? Or is this just how everyone with the s24 models has to deal with it? I do have google keyboard enabled and configured, I have voice typing set to google, and google voice input all selected. I don't even know why there's more than one google voice typing option but whatever. Seriously, WTF am I doing wrong and why can I not just speak to my phone and have it properly punctuate the way that it does on my pixel 8 pro? It's driving me mad!
I use my phone to run my businesses which has me speaking to the phone constantly. I want to use the s24 ultra but the speech to text alone is making me wish I kept the pixel 8 pro instead. It's ridiculous! Someone please tell me I'm just doing something wrong and there's an easy fix that I'm missing. For the love of God! F'k you Samsung for having such trash speech to text on my $1200+ phone. Fk You!
Was out of my mind looking for the microphone. Didn't see it on the bottom left!!! Duh!!!!!!
Oh my gosh, why would they put that down there? It was probably in front of me the whole time and I never noticed it typing this comment using it now. By pushing the microphone button and speaking to my phone. So if the punctuation and everything isn't very good. I'm not fixing anything. This is purely what the phone is getting from my voice.
This was a great help thanks! I always used voice typing for my texts in my S22 Ultra and it was driving me mad trying to find the microphone for use with the Samsung keyboard in my S24 Plus (I wanted to use the Samsung keyboard for full use of their new Ai features - I don't really rate the Samsung voice input, it never seems to understand my accent/voice? - now I can have the best of both worlds! TFS and have a great weekend. 👍❤
If the microphone icon is not showing, look under "keyboard list and default", then on the bottom, turn on "Keyboard button on navigation bar"
I have the keyboard icon on the bottom left as in the start of this video. If I click there I can select google speech to text after enabling google voice typing. But thats 2 clicks, i Cant seem to get the mic there.
@@joost1183 You have to do what's shown in the video first.
@@nastrimarcello I did take these steps. I get the 2 options instead of just 1. By default I didnt even have keyboard button on nav bar. Turning it on gave me that keyboard instead of the mic (in combination with activation google voice).
@@joost1183 and "default keyboard" is set to Samsung Keyboard, right?
@@nastrimarcello Correct. Samsung keyboard is the default and only keyboard.
I figured I can get the mic icon on bottom left if I use samsung speech. It switches back to the keyboard icon on bottom left if I use google voice typing.
Another topic installed and used Gboard and then switched back to samsung, but also didnt work for me.
Edit: Samsung's own voice to text does not support my native language, hehe. So thats not an option.
This is the only reason I use Pixel phone
This is great! Much appreciated :--))
Is that a Jordanian phone number?!
गुड मॉर्निंग मैंने कहा खाना खा लिया तुम नाइस वॉइस रिकॉर्डिंग
Not working on my phone
I found it you know where the 3 lines are if your using Google voice in put it should be a keyboard click it I'd your using samsung voice input then it's a Microphone
Not working for me as per your instructions...hmmmm
Try this 5 methods to enable and use voice typing on Samsung Galaxy S24 / S24 Ultra:
Method 1: Enable Voice Typing on Samsung Device
Open the device Settings.
Check that the Samsung keyboard is the only voice typing keyboard installed on the device, ensuring there are no alternative programs like Google voice typing.
Check that voice input is enabled. Open the Settings app, tap General management, tap the ellipsis symbol in the top right corner, tap Show system apps and check that Samsung voice input is enabled.
Method 2: Use Voice Typing in an App
Open the app to enter text in.
Start voice typing. Enabling Samsung voice typing causes a microphone icon to be added to the bar at the top of the keyboard. Tapping the microphone icon at the top of the keyboard causes a panel containing a large blue microphone icon to appear, replacing the letters, which serves as the play/pause button for recording.
To start voice typing, tap the microphone icon and immediately start speaking.
End the recording. The user is able to stop the recording by manually pressing the blue microphone icon for a second time, or by waiting 5 to 10 seconds for the recording to pause automatically.
Method 3: Review and Edit the Text
Review the text. Review the text generated by the voice typing tool to check that it correctly recognises the speech.
Edit the text. Edit any mistakes in the text, making sure it matches the original speech and is free of grammatical errors.
Method 4: Send or Save the Text
Samsung users are able to use the voice-to-text feature as an alternative to the keyboard in any app which requires them to enter text.
Method 5: Alternative to Samsung Voice Typing
Transkriptor, an AI-powered transcription platform, is an alternative to Samsung voice typing which allows users to upload pre-recorded audio files, guaranteeing 99% accuracy.
Note: The steps to enable voice typing on the devices in the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra line (released in 2023) differ from the standard steps. Open the “Settings” app, tap ‘General management’ on the homepage, tap ‘Samsung Keyboard settings’, tap ‘Voice input’ and check that the ‘Samsung voice input’ is selected. Click to select ‘Samsung voice input’ if it is not already the default in any of the devices in the S23 line.
The Samsung voice input is terrible
Not working
To enable and use voice typing on your Samsung Galaxy S24 or S24 Ultra, you can follow these steps:
Open the app where you want to type using your voice, such as the messaging app or notes app.
Tap on the text field where you want to input your text.
Tap the microphone icon on the on-screen keyboard. If you don't see the microphone icon, you may need to enable it in your keyboard settings.
Start speaking clearly and slowly, and your phone will transcribe your speech into text.
When you're finished speaking, tap the microphone icon again to stop the voice typing.
Review the transcribed text and make any necessary corrections.
Send or save your text as desired.
Good morning
Period and full stop 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
