They should do an old school theme of Nascar from back in the day like Dale Earnhardt, Rusty Wallace, Richard Petty, Cole Trickle (from days of thunder)
@Cheese_is_priced his estate still has people handling those types of things to keep money coming in. Wouldn't be much different than any of the others. Just not easy since each one would need to do individual deals.
Not really Horizons hobby is well known for producing kits trying to get into the market. 1/10 scale oval is popular, 1/12 scale oval has been dead for years.
I know Martin Truex Senior and JR. I have known JR since he was about 8 years old. When his Dad used to race at Wall Township Speedway, here in NJ.. Then JR raced there as well. Such a notice guy.
Not sure if he watches the channel, but he used to read my print magazine articles. I know he used to be big into RC boats which I wrote about. Nonetheless still cool. 😎
I’m definitely going to start a spec summer series for sure with these rigs. Give anyone in my hometown enough time to get one and adjust to it before the real racing begins
In the late 80s while in the Navy stationed in CHARLESTON I got into 1/10 electric RC racing in Moncks Corner, SC . We raced in the parking lot of a Hobby Shop there, and it was a blast ! The shop owner set up a oval track in the parking lot with 4 inch PVC pipe laid out in a large Rectangle, and the inside was defined by the Flexible drain pipe in a Oval configuration, held in place by disks from a disk plow places strategically around the oval and secured the pipe with Zip Ties. At the end of the nights racing we would break down the track and place the pipes on a small trailer and tie it down with a couple of straps. It was so much fun, there was even a points series, and several different classes from Stock, to Unlimited where pretty much anything goes with Hand built battery packs, hand made chassis pans, hand wound motors, and every trick imaginable to squeeze every bit of handling, and speed from the cars !we traveled to Rock Hill, SC once to a 1/10 scale of Charlotte Motor Speedway, that featured high bank turns, and covered Driver stands ! It also had Transponders that measured Laps, lap time, total time, Speed. My hybrid Hand built, MRC car was turning laps at 72 MPH, before the Transponders started to cause glitches in my receiver, and I had to call it quits ! Great fun ! I don't think the Rock Hill track still Exists.
i would be interested in a video that goes over the cross comparability with the new Arrma Groms. Differences and what not. This seems the longest chassis so far and will have adjustable links as options. Maybe a Frankenstein long buggy or something
not yet, but unfortunately they are moving that way lol. They said the cup series will remain the same, but if it ever goes to electric I will stop watching and attending races.
The stock tires should last a while. I ripped a bunch of donuts to see if the tires would wear, but it didn’t do much to them. Thanks for watching brother!
Basically drift tyres as they are might need that tyre enhancer additive on them break them in get the top slippy surface layer off them like they do with the real one's
Appreciate the video! Still waiting on mine. Ordered in April from AMain and they still haven't shipped, and they removed their ship date from the site. LHS already received stock too.
I love this so much. Thank you for the video. I’m still trying to get ahold of one here at our local hobby shop in Modesto California they keep leaving the shelves lol. Hello from @EnoughTractionRc
This and 1RC cars are a great way to get into the sport. The 1RC cars are a little smaller but offer a better variety (sprint car, late model NASCAR, dirt ... etc). 1RC cars are a bit more expensive. If you're interested in a car smaller than 10th scale, Losi and 1RC are good options.
Mine should be here tomorrow just on the fence if I should order too then again I’m always on the fence if I should order two just in case of my son would like it
If it was the best NASCAR Cup car, it would have the number 5 on it. Met Martin a few times in Homestead, but he can't hang with Kyle, our points leader even after missing the Coke 600 at Charlotte in May.
def grab the menards car get some deep dark purple paint and some camel decals a bright green 23 you make a mr. exitement jimmy spencer smokin joes car start wrecking your friends and going to the front!
Hopefully these don’t have weak rear toe links and burst into flames from rubber build up like the real cars. With that said, I’m going to order a Chase Elliott NAPA car and a Ryan Blaney Menard’s/Great Stuff car so my friend and I can race.
I got a tony Stewart one from Walmart some years ago. That thing was fast as 💩 for being a Walmart piece. Actually way bigger and faster than this one.
trash diffs that are guaranteed to go out. metal diffs are very hard to get. i would avoid this until arrma deals with the diffs for real cuz for a basher brand that's insane and for a racing brand that wants to hike the price that is unacceptable.
The point was people should stop complaining that the car is unrealistic because it’s 4wd. There are many parts on the car that are unrealistic. Just enjoy we have something that resembles a NASCAR and that anyone can get into it easily.
Shame on Losi for actually wanting to make higher margins on a low end, high volume product. What a shameful thing to want to make a profit to run a strong business. 😂 Maybe people could remember that before hating on Traxxas, or at least equally spread the hate to all successful businesses that have employees and health plans.
They should do an old school theme of Nascar from back in the day like Dale Earnhardt, Rusty Wallace, Richard Petty, Cole Trickle (from days of thunder)
Cool idea, but they’d probably have a lot of licensing hoops to jump through.
should i even say why an Earnhardt themed car would be almost impossible to liscense? It would be cool asf tho
@Cheese_is_priced his estate still has people handling those types of things to keep money coming in. Wouldn't be much different than any of the others. Just not easy since each one would need to do individual deals.
At least decal sets from the after market.
Sign me up for a Richard Petty car!!!
Get a few buddies, a case of beer, a few cones and a couple of these. It'll be like the real thing in the front yard!
Absolutely. I was sitting there on the tailgate of the Jeep just running laps. Good times to be had with this release!

They're cool and I've been on the fence - now I must have one. Great video my friend.
I hope these do really well and bring new people into the hobby .
Some of the best racing I've had was in stock class , just driver vs driver .
Stock is where it's at. I'll be buying these in pairs.

I picked up the Chase Elliot NAPA 9 car. The local track is going to have a box stock class. Should be a hoot.
Nice! Box stock class of these will be awesome!
@@rcdriver if you are ever in Kansas City come by Fastlane Raceway. All manner of RC racing going on there.

Use sand bean bags as your infield barriers works great and unlike cones they dont go flying when clipped.
Another great option.

Nice race car. Thanks for showing
Brushed!! Love it!!♥️♥️ Perfect car to drive the whole day in a circle.

Exactly!
It's absolutely super cool!
Very nice, I cannot wait to grab one!

Why you don't like electric cars?
NASCAR race cars. NASCAR stands for National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing 🙂
Lol not yet !
@@JorgeAntonioRubio81 nowhere does it say stock has to be petrol based. Just say you've sold your sold to gasoline powered vehicles
Looks like a lot of fun , I wish they had a clear body.So we could design it the way we want , Great video thank you
They do sell the clear body’s so you can custom your own nascar
As a Mojave Grom owner, this intrigues me...
Just in time for Mini season! Might have to do up a #3 body to match the 1/7 scale 😎
Better use the right car brand decals this time. 😆

The common Grom architecture could make for some fun wide/narrow/long/short Frankenstein options for the different models.

For a spec class sure.
Plenty of stock car options for pan cars.
Change directly to slightly more expensive wheel bearings and it will roll easier and have better battery life

Is the wheel Hex 12mm like the Groms? The description says its 8mm...
How the decals on it any kinks are bubbles?
For $180, that’s really pushing it. I would’ve expected to see like either 150 or a $200+ brushless version. The 380 motor gets HOT.
It's licensed, so you're paying for the accurate bodies and the team liveries.
