Bought one several months ago and J.J. was awesome to communicate with. I got the unit in like 3 days after ordering. Crazy fast. Install took about 3 hours because I have the front faring so I had to take all that apart. Before I installed it, my stock 114 was hot when I parked it. I had no upgrades or anything and it got hot. I could smell the black paint baking on the engine after it was parked. Lot's of metal clicking when it cooled. Not anymore. Bike is significantly cooler! Very little clicking from the metal in the engine cooling and no smell. It made a real difference.. And I love the little blue light when it comes on. The Ultracool fan unit was worth every penny and more. I also installed the stock fan behind the oil cooler so I think both of these products are a must have for the M8.
I run the Ultra Cool 3.0 and FLO oil filter on my S&S V124 High Compression crate motor in SW Florida. I wired the fans to a switch so I can turn them on when I see I'm getting stopped in traffic. I run a pyrometer and oil temperature gauge and my oil runs 180° and never gets over 200° when stopped for an extended time. Great products!
I bought this system, 3 years ago maybe 4. I live in the UP. They gave me a cover for the heat exchanger nice cover with magnets. They told me I might have trouble getting the temp up in cooler weather. I built a 114 twin cam and that's where this system was going. It's an ultra. I live about 21 miles from town. let's say 30 from work. With Harley's I always install a merlin temp gage that measure oil tank temp and head temp. Really head temp is engine temp it uses a head bolt for a probe. This way I can see the temp as I'm riding I did use the freeze frame data from the ecm too. Any way I was dead wrong. When i got off the phone with them when I bought it I thought there is no way I'm going to need that cover. It was free. A harley that doesn't warm up enough this I gotta see. I have been riding motorcycles all my life. Most of them Harley's all of them in Michigan's upper peninsula. I will tell you this system does what it says. I even got a crown royal bag from my watering hole and cut up a 1 liter pop bottle to cut the air flow over the oil filter. I used a 6 inch bungi to hold the bottle on the filter. On the hot side you can literally feel the motor cool down. When I see the temp coming up I start watching the led. when it comes on it doesn't take long and the temp is coming down. When I bought it the guys told me "That's a lot for an oil cooler". I told them I have over 10 grand in this motor it's cheap one time insurance. I am extremely happy with it's performance so far. There is no reason that it will not keep giving me great service. I gave a high flow oil filter to the fella that bought a softail I built. That bike always ran hot. Carbed stroker. The filter did not solve the Issue but it did noticeably cool that bike down.
The factory exhaust is designed to get hot in order help catalytic converter burn off the unspent hydrocarbon. A aftermarket exhaust will increase power and decrease temperature….. less heat🙄

I have two Harleys with the Ultra Cool oil coolers. My first one was a brand new 1979 Whore house red Superglide. It had a lot of overheating problems. I'm sick and damn tired of having the rear cylinder get so hot it starts to predetonate. I would have to pull over, God knows where, shut the engine off and let it cool down.... Ain't that some shit? Having to pull over and shut the engine off so a AIR COOLED engine can cool. If I EVER have this problem again.... I'm selling my Harleys and I will buy the best motorcycle in the World. A Honda damn Goldwing. I'm sick of this overheating BS V-twin design. Have a nice day.
Harley states the normal oil temp should be 230 f. Why does everyone think it has to be 50-60 degrees cooler?. Oil needs to be up to operating oil to do it's job. If you think your oil is ruined from being hot, and it will get hot NORMALLY, sent it out Blackstone labs or some other company whose job it is test oil . You will be amazed how many outfits try to scare you into dumping perfectly good oil, to buy whatever snake oil they are selling. If reusable oil filters were such a good Idea, all the engine mfgrs would be using them. Do any of them use them?. Must be a reason. Police depts don't use anything more than factory oil coolers, and engine fin cooling fans. Why ? because thru real world testing they have found they do everything that's needed by the engine. They let their engines run thru an entire traffic stops, without all the fatal damage these venders say will happen if you don't use their modern marvels of technology. Feeling heat coming off a motorcycle will be annoying and damaging to the rider, than the engine. Running low on oil, or running the wrong type or weight oil will do more damage to your engine than heat will. ,,
Harley Davidsons Seize all the time when they over heat.. Liquid cooled bikes do not so long as they have an electric fan that kicks in while they are idling.
For people with stage 4 kits and they live in hot areas u will benefit from this im in cali and i see 350 temps (m8) on hot day and you lose noticeable power when motor is above 300 being able keep temps down so you wont be as sluggish. If you go to twistys in any area in summer youll see temps climb and drop in power. If you ride your harley like a cruiser yea you dont need it but having a stage 4 kit with not extra cooling you will fuck it up especially if u commute far in hot summers. I know bunch guys that blew their motors because of heat. The fan isnt always running it only start running when it hits a certain temp, so in winter ull never see it turn on.
I can see cooler oil but I’m not buying into the mesh oil filter. If I was running a top fuel bike then maybe but not for an engine that goes for longevity. A recent testing just proved that a pleated fiber oil filter removes more trash for oily than mesh. Proper oil run at designed temps should flow through a pleated filter as per mfg results. My 2020 came with the redesigned oil pump and was not changed when the 131 kit was installed. If the extra lubrication of adding a turbo is needed then I get that. Always wanted a Trask turbo on my bike, sounds like a hoot.

Key thing he says in the first minute, basically the more power added to your bike, the more heat you will generate.

I just saw a report on the oil filter, stating they free up 7 or so HP!

Does it make you wonder if you really needed it?
How can I get the filter. I've been seeing the advertisement on Facebook but if I got to the site it says it's not available.
Give JJ a call. His number is in the website.
At Sturgis 2024 will be doing installs for these coolers? Thx
They won’t be there this year. Maybe next year.
Where will you be located at Sturgis 2024? What does an oil cooler run $ for 2015 Road Glide? Thx
Check them out at their website or instagram.

What do you use to clean filter?
Break cleaner.
Oil needs to be at a certain temp to work properly. Too cool and your risking engine damage
Yea but this system turns on when temps get to the right temperature, so in winter time u wont ever see it turn on. It doesnt just stay on 24/7
Twin cams need a 5 micron filter, for the can chain shoes, 20 micron is too fine an could cause problems
