why not provide that plastic piece replacement already cut with a kit? just make a mold out of fiberglass or get plastic from overseas, so it can be as simple as pop oem off with putty knife and re-glue new piece with tape. I'd rather pay a some extra for that then tinker around with saw blades, box knives, markers, etc while the lower is sliding all over the table. would just make more sense to me
I love my U;traCool. I got the one that mounts on the down tubes, just below the regulator. It's barely noticeable, and it looks good anyway. But what I like about it most is it does exactly what it's supposed to do. It keeps my oil temps down considerably and keeps it there.
Have you done any before and after temperatures to show reduction in temp? Do the fans run all the time or by temp gauge? What about the air flow to your legs since that is blocked? How does one keep the outside fairing finish from being scratched given all the required modifications?

good point
Agreed, huge potential for blood being spilt with this mod
Good grief what a project. I'm going to get the regulator mounted ultra cooler for my 08 ultra classic.
I installed 1 on my 21 roadking I don’t think there is enough pressure with a stock filter to push all the oil to the heads
Excellent video, definitely something I'm going to do. I just recieved my ultracool 3.0 cooler kit yesterday.

Use Dremel
Can you order the ultra cool for a twin cool Harley, without the electric fans?
