torque specs:
oil pick up: 16 ft lbs
oil pan bolts: 62 inch lbs
thanks i shashed my oil pan and wasnt sure if a gasket was supposed to be there on the pickup. appreciate it man
Aye that craftsman though!!!
Torque specs would help.
legend man thanks
Dude I'm only here to see how other people put their RTV seals on because my magnetic drain plug crumbled on me when I was torquing it down to spec. All the metal pieces are inside the pan so now I have to remove the pan to get it all out. Those plugs are cheaply made. This is only my 5th oil change with them and the metal just turned to powder.
same with me. i had the Z1 magnetic drain plug and i always used a torque wrench. the head broke off but i easily got it out. they’re garbage and not worth it
I usually replace it every oil change I do. 🤷
Do you have to the the last step? Or can you just start the car? I have a 04 G35 and was going to add an oil spacer. Thanks in advance.
how to cranck an engine without start if auto for 350z?

Did you need to move the sway bar?
Hello, I wanted to ask you if that procedure to turn the components without starting the engine, must be enabled or just that combination is enough to make it work.
Do you know if it is also mentioned in the workshop manual?
Most nissans are like that from factory
I just crushed my oil pan. The jack wasn’t following the car as I was jacking it up and it pulled itself off the crossmember. I’ve been driving around for about a week and still haven’t fixed it but I just got all my parts in. I don’t notice any difference it’s still sucking up oil the same oh yeah and I ripped both motor mounts clean in half, and lifted the motor up high enough where I couldn’t close the hood doesn’t seem to be any damage though, but anyways about that drain plug. I have those there longer than OEM. I tried using mine with that magnet on the end and it wouldn’t go in the hole all the way assuming that it’s hitting the pick up tube it doesn’t look any longer than the one that you have there, and also is there no gasket for that pick up tube I’m just wondering I did buy the one minute gray from Pirma Tex. Hope that’s the right stuff, and I did buy a Noyle pan gasket that rubber looking Fel-Pro. I guess it’s supposed to be a good one or would you not recommend using that and just use the one minute gray silicone?
Is there any way to prime an automatic without it starting because I’m about to have to do that or is it no different than leaving your car sit overnight and starting it in the morning?
Will it hurt your vehicle without doing that procedure where your car sounded like it was trying to start?.. I changed my oil and fiter and didn't do that 🤦♂️
You're stock handbrake looks like it locks up pretty well what did you do to make it lock up that well? adjust it from the center console or rear?
Made adjustments at the brake rotor and the handle, i got a video on it on the channel
@@acedrifts ill check it out thanks
Why did I buy a oil pan gasket then ?
RTV on the pickup tube, not needed. Spreading RTV with the finger: Prohibited
The oil pickup does not have a gasket. You shouldn’t have put nothing on it
They actually use a very thin coat of silicone from the factory
It appears that way but it doesn't I just took mine off last night if you get any rtv in that pump drive it could cause issues or will I ilshould say . The pans are different because the oil comes through a screened oil pick up so if you get slop in the pan there is no way of it passing . This is why they tell you to wait over night before putting oil in and so it can completely dry and form itself into a gaskett
Took mine off also today and no gasket on the oil pickup
No gasket for the pickup pipe? Would it not affect the oil pump suction when the oil gets hot, I think I'd be inclined to make a gasket for it, the later vq35HR engine has a metal gasket fitted to it 🤔
