Love the videos! From what I've researched, a lot of the gains can be had when self porting (if people have the time) the upper and lower plenum + porting and gasket matching the lower manifold to the head. For the top, the neck appears to be a huge bottle neck so I guess smoothing and increasing flow there would help. So glad you guys are now pumping out content on UA-cam!
I have a 06 revup 350Z. Been doing some intense research on various ways to increase some horse power! However, too many mixed opinions out there so would ne nice if you guys could really put these various set ups to the test would be great! It would help make the best decision down the road! Looking forward to see a vid on this topic!!!
I have a revup 6mt 350z and MREV2 is a little pricy but I put the MREV2 and the 5/16th spacer, and the difference in power was very significant. It.s a must have for the revups its just a bit pricy.
FYI. An old 03-04 lower plenum and a 5/16 spacer on my 06 rev up did quite the job. Torque increased and pulled further up the rpm range. I probably lost top end hp but it was not noticeable.. The increase in torque and throttle response way out did the loss of top end hp. Also did the throttle body bypass to decrease heat. Total money used. $70 for the old lower plenum. $90 for a Blox plenum spacer. And $5 for the vacuum connector for the Throttle body bypass. Total $165. Did work myself.
Kinetix solution of having the cutout for the strut bar is pretty clever, I do run into issue with my strut bar rubbing into my plenum now that I have the plenum spacer, even with the washers it still does. So might have to get something like this.
I got dyno’d with a JWT pop charger and invidia Gemini exhaust and got, 268.0 hp & 228.2 torque. Installed the mrev manifold, 5/16 spacer and Osiris Tuned: 268.7hp and 247.3 torque. I don’t have the actual dyno graph, but I want to say I have about 30 plus torque through most the mid range.
Few questions, What about the cosworth plenum? And Would it benefit me to use a spacer with the Kenetix V+ plenum?..... also.... just do the dyno! Everyone wants to know what the best setup is
Absolutely dyno them. Please. There’s a stack of us out there with 350z Peojects bouncing back and forth with this decision. It would be an amazing help to us.
Once you go half inch plenum spacer or bigger, I'd just get a forward mounting strut bar. Dyno testing can be costly and time consuming, it would be dope seeing more direct dyno comparisons against these parts.
Nice video. I would love to see you test them on a 350z with stock exhaust with absolutely no other mods. That would give a new or older owner a simple baseline to start their mods if the wanted to start with the engine first. Everyone usually starts with the exhaust (and there are first so many out their) I think a fair comparison is with a stock exhaust. I hope this factors into your decision.
I have the vq35de in my 02 Pathfinder. Looking to get more power out of it (duh.) and want to keep it naturally aspirated. I was kicking around the idea of putting a snorkel on it to actually take in cold air. Thoughts? Thanks for the vid. Plenty of helpful information.
Please Dyno I have short headers on my z, people said they don't do much but I feel a good difference of course I have Cai ,and I did a cat back as well but left stock muffler it runs excellent
The kinetix is a better improvement over the plenum spacer, not only does it keep temps lower but it just costs a 100$ more than the spacer so why not get it. Also looks better than the stock manifold
Why not cut more off the runners? I've searched the interwebs and all of the mods are basically the same, remove sharp corners and blending. Why not remove the top of the runners completely and then blend?
Dyno tests please. I've already got a spacer on my de and was going to get the V+ plenum but decided the almost $300 price tag was not worth the power gain.
Test them all quit playin. What I wanna know is if you can use a spacer with the kinetix composite intake, If you use the spacer doesn't that change the space underneath the 6 studs on the factory upper intake?
unfortunately, they WONT dyno test all these options and show us the results as that will lead to them taking a loss at products they carry and sell due to lack of gains from the higher priced options compared to cheaper ones... 💀
If a VQ35DE engine can benefit from swapping its lower plenum with that of a Revup, ported or not, and especially in conjunction with a plenum spacer, why then is the MRev2 plenum only said to work with Revup engines? Why will the MREV2 plenum not benefit a DE engine if it improves airflow?
Does the top manifold help with the non rev up motors? I've read the only thing that helps is the spacer. I guess going to a composite manifold would help with the heat transfer. Other than that I don't think the non rev ups are helped with aftermarket manifolds
Don't waste your money people. I ported and polished the upper and lower intake plenum along with the intake manifold with a Z1 Motorsports mail in tune. I felt no power gains what so ever.
It's 2 years on, and they still haven't done any testing (that's rather disappointing!). I realize the motor is not as popular as it used to be but ... these are still enthusiast's cars and there are a BUTT-LOAD of these engines out there so there's still a HUGE potential for business - especially since many have high miles on them and will need to be rebuilt? If I was to call myself a specialty shop for Nissan cars, you can bet I would do everything possible to make a name for myself and be THE EXPERT authority on them!? One more thing and I'm not bitching about it - just some constructive criticism: don't show us the guys face when he's describing the trumpets on the manifold(?). He could've just stayed behind the bench instead of walking over to the car? We barely got a glimpse of what he was talking about(?).
Sooo...heres my warning I bought a 5/16 spacer and it's not on my Z because it hit the factory strut tower brace. Bought spacers for my strut bar and the hood wouldn't close. Had to go back to stock sooooo you've been warned
The motordyne should be off the table because it's no longer in production. some other channels have reviewed it with a dyno and reported negligible games without Fi.
All that did was give me more options when I'm already confused give me answers and dyno numbers but I dont have a strut bar in my g35 ima go mf 5/8s like what is clearance lol
Already done 5/16 motordyne spacer. I own same car DE engine. Helps and sound great. Mine is fully done and tuned by specialty Z. DO IT.... All mods done except headers. And as we all know. Hard job minimal if any upgrades.
I have that intake manifold on my z and it gives the car better top end power without giving up torque . I noticed after i installed the kinetix velocity that the car pulled harder above 5900 rpms and with the stock plenum with a spacers.
yes, depend on the type of power gains you want and budget you cant afford. The spacer is a cost effective mod for hp gans; but, I prefer the Kinetix Velocity Manifold since it gives the car better top end power without sacrificing the low end torque.
Hey guys..I want to increase Horsepower In my 350z 2008. i have 3k only. Please suggest the things i can do with this amount. What shud i add in engine? Plz help if u have a strong background in this area. I have ZERO knowledge in mods.
You have an HR, while the mods in this video are for the DE. If you're looking to switch up manifolds, you can get a ported HR manifold, or switch to VHR manifold. Combine that with intakes, exhaust, retune, and you should make 300 whp easy.
ImJustMe555 yeah your right. Motordyne claims on their website that if you install both the MREV2 and the spacer you get more power....but if it’s just an extra 5 hp, I’d rather put that $500 the MREV2 costs towards a tune.
I've installed the MREV2 and 5\16" spacer on a friend of mine's car and based on what's required to install them you might as well install both at the same time for the maximum gain and tune for that.
Dynoing all would be invaluable information and would get a ton of views.
Definitely want to see some dyno data facts! Plus gives your channel some more content and interested to see if it's worth purchasing for my g35.
I found vq dyno charts for plenum spacers and they made 0 difference.. the spacer actually under preformed in some scenarios
@Fat Jay’s Garage that's probably why they never did it a test
@@fatjaysgaragenever comment anything like you did with no provided proof.
I got my g35 a kinetix plenum & kinetix catalytic converters . My car is past fast now loving it
Waiting for that dyno vid.
Love the videos! We need dyno numbers! opinions are like assholes

Also recommend porting at least the upper plenum. alot of restrictions. Did not have the time. Will do when I change the spark plugs.
Kinetix solution of having the cutout for the strut bar is pretty clever, I do run into issue with my strut bar rubbing into my plenum now that I have the plenum spacer, even with the washers it still does. So might have to get something like this.
Should start a dyno series would love to see all products showing what they can really do!!
I’m running the Kinnetix V+ on my Z. It was a nice easy bolt on for a little more power.
Dyno them! And include the beautiful Cosworth Intake.
Super affordable way to gain some torque. That's what we like to see
test em out, and more q60 content too 😬
Few questions, What about the cosworth plenum? And Would it benefit me to use a spacer with the Kenetix V+ plenum?..... also.... just do the dyno! Everyone wants to know what the best setup is
This CHANNEL needs more views and likes and subs !!!!! C'MON GUYSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely dyno them. Please.
There’s a stack of us out there with 350z Peojects bouncing back and forth with this decision. It would be an amazing help to us.
I think it's funny that when I had my 350Z you guys never made really that many videos of 350Z stuff and as soon as I sell it videos of 350Z
Took you long enough to sell it, we've been waiting to start our UA-cam channel!
Test them out. Looking forward to it.
Once you go half inch plenum spacer or bigger, I'd just get a forward mounting strut bar. Dyno testing can be costly and time consuming, it would be dope seeing more direct dyno comparisons against these parts.

I wish there was something available for the 35DE in the 13 Altima.
Why not cut more off the runners? I've searched the interwebs and all of the mods are basically the same, remove sharp corners and blending. Why not remove the top of the runners completely and then blend?
For sure interested as I have the v+
Hopefully you give it shot
Dyno test them all then combine the part that can be used together and test them that way.
Yeah dude do the test 👍🏾
Dyno tests please. I've already got a spacer on my de and was going to get the V+ plenum but decided the almost $300 price tag was not worth the power gain.
We are working on getting a stock car to test this on so we have a good baseline
Great video just got a z looking into some bolt ons
Yeah yall NEED TO TEST ALL 3 on dyno
Do it! (Ben Stiller)
Diet coke on the rocks
Test them all quit playin. What I wanna know is if you can use a spacer with the kinetix composite intake, If you use the spacer doesn't that change the space underneath the 6 studs on the factory upper intake?
Yes please dyno test them
If you don’t have a strut bar (on my G35) can you go crazy and or stupid with a spacer?
Yes test them!
unfortunately, they WONT dyno test all these options and show us the results as that will lead to them taking a loss at products they carry and sell due to lack of gains from the higher priced options compared to cheaper ones... 💀

Did you ever Dyno test these? I'm debating on spacer vs kinetix V+
We want dyno testing!
Factory strut bar? My g35 doesn’t have that at all (I have a 2005 sedan)
Don't waste your money people. I ported and polished the upper and lower intake plenum along with the intake manifold with a Z1 Motorsports mail in tune. I felt no power gains what so ever.
Can the kinetix composite can be used with a spacer? Please do the test.
Have you tried the Crawford plenum, oem fitment and 50+ hp 4-6000rpm w/15lbs boost twin TD-05 H, haltech, 3” dual
want to see the dyno test.. please
I have a DE with a K&N intake with Tomie Y pipe with a tomie catback , do you recommend the kintix manifold ?
What happens if you combine all 3 on the table?
Would love to see dyno results.
Damn these guys haven’t uploaded in over 2 years 😢😢😢
Did the tests ever happen??
you can use my 05 coupe
Will it fit on a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder r50?
What about using the kinetic and spacer?
If you didnt find a car to test it on use my 2008 3.5 Altima
Did you have any problems with your kinetic manifold . I've heard that they rattle & crack after a few months
So I'm guessing they never dynoed
yooo yoo Too much time. Too much effort. Not enough subscribers. Not enough giveaways.
It's 2 years on, and they still haven't done any testing (that's rather disappointing!). Do some Dyno runs.
What ever happened to the test video!?
Still waiting on that Dyno test🙁
I'd like to know the results
We need the Dyno numbers!
Is it the same for a m35x?
Where is the z32 at??? 🤙 z33 coming out nice though man! 👌
It's getting there. Motor is just about ready to go in. We just a few parts we are waiting on
Will a DE lower plenum be better on a revup motor with a plenum spacer?
The motordyne should be off the table because it's no longer in production. some other channels have reviewed it with a dyno and reported negligible games without Fi.
So did we get that Dyno?
What about the black plenum with the spacer would that be beneficial you think
The Kinetix plenum already has a built in spacer, with the additional spacer it probably wouldn't clear the hood
That Tommyfyeah hoodie tho
Dyno test them all please!!!
All that did was give me more options when I'm already confused give me answers and dyno numbers but I dont have a strut bar in my g35 ima go mf 5/8s like what is clearance lol
Making my 08 m35 a four door 350z🤣, so PLEASE test them all
Already done 5/16 motordyne spacer. I own same car DE engine. Helps and sound great. Mine is fully done and tuned by specialty Z. DO IT.... All mods done except headers. And as we all know. Hard job minimal if any upgrades.
Still waiting on the dyno
Please lets see Dyno results
How’s the kinetix velocity work on your car ?
I have that intake manifold on my z and it gives the car better top end power without giving up torque . I noticed after i installed the kinetix velocity that the car pulled harder above 5900 rpms and with the stock plenum with a spacers.
Would like to know if any of these are worth it over just getting a spacer.
yes, depend on the type of power gains you want and budget you cant afford. The spacer is a cost effective mod for hp gans; but, I prefer the Kinetix Velocity Manifold since it gives the car better top end power without sacrificing the low end torque.
Dyno test, por favor!😁
Dyno test!
Is the Kinetix Vplus good for boost ?
the V+ doesn't really care about boost or not. I'd say it's going to benefit NA cars more, but boosted cars will still see the same benefits
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hey guys..I want to increase Horsepower In my 350z 2008. i have 3k only. Please suggest the things i can do with this amount. What shud i add in engine? Plz help if u have a strong background in this area. I have ZERO knowledge in mods.
You have an HR, while the mods in this video are for the DE. If you're looking to switch up manifolds, you can get a ported HR manifold, or switch to VHR manifold. Combine that with intakes, exhaust, retune, and you should make 300 whp easy.
Dynooooo testttttt
Dyno test them!
Please test these out. I absolutely do not want to spend $500 plus for the Motordyne MREV2 if I can get the same results from a damn plenum spacer.
You definitely don't get the same gains from the spacer as the MREV2, but from what I've seen most people get both the MREV2 and the spacer.
ImJustMe555 yeah your right. Motordyne claims on their website that if you install both the MREV2 and the spacer you get more power....but if it’s just an extra 5 hp, I’d rather put that $500 the MREV2 costs towards a tune.

Dyno please!
Dynos please. :)
Like nike do it!
Do it
Clark Nancy Thomas Sarah Martinez William
Test it test it! Lol
Ah um ah um ah um ah um....
Test it
DYNO AL OF THEM PLEASE
Ise my car!!
