- The Marmalade - Marquee Club 1967 "There Aint No Use In Hanging On"
Uncovered 2 minutes of early Marmalade fan footage ( probably shot on Super8 - no sound) supposedly at the Marquee Club London in 1967 - I've added the only audio track of theirs which would fit. Not very good quality but at least gives a "hint" of the times - I might post a "psychedelic version" also. - Розваги
Saw them in Tel Aviv cinema the same year, first concert ever. Absolutely amazing rock show, Dean Ford sweat all over the place, hands walking and other crazy stuff. And the drummer played sticks acrobacy like never seen before.
It's such a treat to see them when they were
so young and full of life. Thanks for the gold
mine of music videos. They are priceless!
This is an amazing video, it is an archive that will live on always now. especially to show how electric Dean Ford was as a singer and performer on stage, even though it is the vinyl sound recording. The group 'died' in '74, Graham keeps the pulse beating with the 'cover' band that has taken the name and pre-72 songs around the UK and beyond since then. (Junior's hair..........:)
Brilliant footage, thank you for posting xx
One of the first of many bands I went to see at the Marquee, brings back memories.
Thanks for posting because most likely I was there !
Any idea of what songs they played ??

Dean has got the moves!!!!!
Easily one of the best live bands around then. Pure excitement specially as Dean Ford and the Gaylords. Will always remember Ray Duffy's drumming on "Loving you is sweeter than ever" and Junior's Gibson stereo unique sound. They played regularly around the Ely area.
Young look dean ford handsome boy
This is footage shot by a friend of mine. They played in The Hague in 1968 in "De Maraton"
