Oh my goodness. This is a blast back to my childhood. Every Sunday the tv was muted (if the game even came in over the air) and Jim & Max were turned on. Awesome to hear this. Thank you.
Difference in time. 2023: Ball inside 50 with 50 seconds left.....ton of time. But back then....it was like it would take a miracle to get the ball in EZ
You are unbelievable!!To link up the World's greatest announcers Jim Irwin and Max Mcgee to Packer games is bananas! Please upload more. Will make my year. Thank you
Even though I am a Vikings fan, I really loved Max and Jims broadcasts. Football on radio sounds a lot better than on tv, and I'm glad to be subscribed to this channel, to get different types of packer highlights, and games, because I like all teams, even though the vikings are my favorite team, I like to listen to all types of radio sports broadcasters.
Wow this is amazing that you put this on here, with the Packers radio announcers. I'm a lifelong Vikings fan. I remember watching this game and not believing the finish lol. On a side note, I believe this is the last game the Packers played in Milwaukee. After this, I think they decided to play all of their games at Lambeau.
S Sharpe was a STUD...most underrated WR in NFL during this era? Always played hurt, lived in G Bay (whiteville), dealt w cold, Favre's go-to WR...never complained...his numbers were insane, 90+ receptions ea year.
Outstanding. I even love John Goodman voicing the Budweiser ad. Since 1993, I realize again how much the game, equipment, and stadium atmosphere have changed. I miss the home made signs from fans and the fans chanting without an amped up sound system. Hearing Jim and Max reporting a critical game is fun. I attended this game. In '93, I was in my 5th season as a Packer (Milwaukee) season ticket holder. I had forgotten how sick this game made me feel after Favre throws the pick to Glenn. Now in 2018, I just finished my 30th season going to a few games a year and I still feel like vomiting after close games. I easilly remember my buddy, hoarse after this game, saying, "1st and goal on the Viking two and we get zero points". Ahhh, the life of a fan.
I totally agree with Chris !! amazing. I wish I could listen to the games like this on game day!! much rather listen to the radio than the TV announcers!
No stupid long hair, no stupid TD dances, no stupid scrolling on picture, no stupid players dancing after each play, no QB protection with endless rules...just men playing football...conclusion: manhood has declined with time and age. QB's from this era and before have to laugh and cringe to what they dealt with from a D-end slamming them into the ground and trying to go helmet-to helmet...THAT was a good play!
Its all about money, TV rules sport so they want a sanitised family friendly product where nobody gets badly hurt on live TV that doesn't upset anybody so they can sell a bunch of beer and pizza...
I don't think the old QBs are laughing. They are simply trying to remember things. Favre has already stated he can't remember things that occur one week prior (grandchildren's games, etc). You say manhood has declined, but those players from the 70s to 90s, the ones you call manly, are suing for what the game did to them. Be humane.
You're a opinionated bitch aren't you...you bitch about things you don't like....yet your bitch fits is something the millions of us grown ass adults hate.
radio announcer to tv game...these guys are so INCREDIBLY better than any TV announcer...why are they not doing TV? now we have Beth Mowin because of this PC BS age! Regression...not progression! FACT!
One of the announcers says...'take McMahon out ' What he didn't see coming was a 3 game winning streak to end the season with Jim starting all 3 and totaling 652 yards -6 TD's and only 2 ints during that span. PS....all hail Jimmy Mac and F the fudge Packers.
AM 620 WTMJ. When ever I was near a radio I loved to listen to the games.
Thank you!! Jim Irwin and Max McGee. Their voices bring tears to my eye. Such memories.
Makes me want a Miller Lite, a brat and a hunk of cheddar.

Favre sure was a wild cannon back in those early years. Moments of brilliance but he could sure throw an INT too.

Anybody have this game with the actual TV audio?

One of the last great years of real NFL 🏈

They played their last game in Milwaukee the following season
Great to hear radio broadcast of the Game

Minnesota’s final visit to Milwaukee County Stadium
where can I find more Packer games with the Jim Irwin/Max McGee
Shame on the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee for not coming together to keep football in Milwaukee with Miller Park
These are amazing. Are you able to do the 1996 season? Thanks for the work you put into these.
Not too often back then, and definitely not the case today, that you see both teams share the same sideline.
Damn....look at how young Favre looks at 1:59:38 compared to today.

KEV This is you, correctimundo?
Rev. John G.
okay why weren't they at lambeau field?
Packers used to split home games between Milwaukee and Green Bay. 1993 I believe was the last year they did that.
oh thank you
Incorrect, last game in Milwaukee was in 1994 against the Falcons.
what's with sharpe's strap on the top of his helmet?
It was to help support his neck.
Eventually he had to retire early due to neck problems.
