    I'm injured, too. I'm an avid outdoor runner for years. I was just diagnosed with a torn disc in my spine. L4 and L5. I was admitted overnight and was given the steroid blocker injection, muscle relaxants, and ibuprofen for inflammation. I'm watching your videos. I want to stay lean and eat healthy. 💕

    This video came at the perfect time for me…
    I struggle with multiple chronic medical issues, and I had a recent scare in the hospital that totally took me out. I was bedridden for days and have lost a lot of strength. I haven’t been able to walk or workout like I had been, and I struggle with this notion of still needing to fuel my body JUST as much to promote healing, even without the movement 🙏🏻 ❤ thank you for this reminder that, when the body is compromised- it needs the resources that much more!!!!

    Well, this video was timely! I’m sorry you sprained your ankle and hope it feels better this week. I just had ankle surgery a few weeks ago and am in a cast for 4 more weeks. Too many sprained ankles over the years. My meals yesterday pretty much mirrored what you had in your video: baked potatoes, bean burrito and oatmeal with berries.😊The hardest part has been not being able to take my dogs on their daily walks. They are so confused! Why is mom not walking us? I have gone from 10k steps a day to

    When i sprained my ankle a couple years ago, I did not give myself rest. I had my grandkids coming and didnt want to say no to their visit so i hobbled around for a week trying to entertain them. I ended up with so much more swelling and had to wear a boot. It took a month or more rather than 2 weeks. Patients, time and healing.

    I, too, cannot go to bed without eating if I feel a hunger cue. (By the way, is it ok to eat Grape Nuts? It’s the one cereal I found that should be (?) ok to eat)
    My thoughts are with you - it would be tough to be sedentary but time will pass and you’ll be out there soon.

    My philosophy on a healthy recovery is always .... REST IS BEST!!! Relish in this time of each NOW moments. Happy and Healthy Recovery to you Emmie 🏵🏵🏵 BTW.... your B-12 vitamins are beneficial to me.

      Whenever I think I am hungry, I will drink water. Most of the time that thought of hunger comes from dehydration. I agree with you about feeds. The body has no idea of B, L and D, it only understands consumption.

      When I broke my ankle, the best recovery was getting into the swimming pool or a therapy pool. Do and spell out the ABC's with the ankle rotations. It really assists with a quick recovery and strengthens the muscle in the foot area. These exercises are a great for foot and ankle strength and coordination.
