The smoothness evident in your riding is great to watch. I sit here thinking "I could do this" and then I realize there is no way, you are just making it look easy through talent and practice. Great run, pulling for you to win 2018 if you're going again!
I went this year. Great weather - cold and a little damp when the bike ran. No ice like last year. Rennie Scaysbrook is one smooth driver. That's the one thing I see every year, smooth drivers are the fastest.
First row torque footage + sound ......... great run Rennie :). 9:57 min, Chris Fillmore was even 8 seconds faster with a 9:49 min. SD 1290 place 1 and 2. Congratulations and thanks for this amazing performance and rendition.
Long time no see Bod. Congratulations Rennie, 1 of five to break the 10 minuets impressive stuff. I’ll always remember the year we completed in FZ6 Cup in OZ, one of the best experiences of my life, I’ll always carry fond memories of the camaraderie & the competition. It takes a special rider to complete in a Pikes Peak or Isle of Man type of event, you must be will to push extremely hard, but must have the self preservation not to push to far, A delicate balance I’d sagest . Obviously not for me, I always push past bust. Michael Marsh..
Well done that's a great result. Great race and great choice of bike. I am surprised that the Super Duke has no front screen or small fairing. i know you arent hitting big speeds a lot, but have you experimented with screens in term of aerodynamics? I have a sports bike with renthal bars and I swear the fairing helps to keep my front end planted.
Rennie/Cycle News has a last year's mini movie ump on youtube--and it is awesome. It does NOT go AS PLANNED--that's all I'm saying. Rennie's closing statements clearly shows what drives a racers mind.
Thinking course NOT smooth--especially at top: Superduke has 5/6" of suspension travel to handle big bumps. TIGHT switchbacks require TORQUE to drive out of corners--Duke makes AT 4000 RPMs what most superbikes make at their 9-10,000+ torque max--and then considerably more TORQUE than any race rep super bike. Average speed about 79 MPH/max speed about 124--that I saw--so no real need for fairings. Course suits THIS bike perfectly.
Hey man, awesome run - you're an absolute legend! Congrats from Canberra - big fan, loving all the vids
Epic ride! Well done!!
Thanks Alan!

Bloody fantastic !. I know its 2 years late, but congratulations and huge respect from the UK..

Thanks Robert -- Rennie
Mad skills, awesome bike with brutal torque right off the bottom, and horsepower everywhere. Amazing!!!
Awesome - great run. Couple of sphincter pucker moments because of the video angle

One question how did you record the sound?
Just straight into the GoPro mounted on the helmet.
Great run.. I do like the style of bike used for this event

Michael Marsh..
Magnificent!
This guy is just so smooth here. You don't realize how fast he's going until you catch a glimpse of the speedo.
What a place to ride! tt next👍

Wow!! Amazing! 👍 👍
you guys should compile all of the footage recorded and put it into a mini-movie
It's coming soon.
Awesome. I'll keep checking back for updates.

Fvcken amazing Rennie
Also any idea on what the power was on these bikes to the wheel? Where you guys using the 40mm velocity stacks or the 80mm from rottweiler?
full stage 5 rottweiler kit with full akra exhaust and PCV etc. Most likely putting down around 180 WHP
Carlin Dunne at the end... so sad. R.I.P.
*FUCK*
&
*YEAH*
on these race kit versions of the duke what speed does first gear go up to? It is hard to find alot of details on the new dukes.
does it really matter? probably like 120 kp/h or something. it does 200 kp/h in 3rd and 299 in 5
The one disliker must have had mouse coordination problems ..... :)

Looking at the results, I take it Race Reps don't suit this type of race?

Tom Traynor don't forget that there is less drag with less dense air also.
Go Aussie.
