Hi Elena, I’m so glad you are talking about this art themes and It’s a great introduction to know this information. I have been doing art since 2020 and what I struggle the most is that I overthink the things that I want to create and end up frustrated with the results. Do you have any advice when it comes to improving your art without beating yourself up?
Hi there! Just try to focus more on the process of drawing than the outcome! Instead of thinking about the final result all the time try to enjoy the journey of experimenting and creating. Maybe it could even help if you start some drawings without the intention to ever finish it but rather to learn a new technique!🙂♥️ hope this helps a bit and don’t compare yourself to other artists ! Compare yourself with your older self !
@@fjordwind thank for your recommendations, I definitely will try to apply them and see how it’s going. I need more patience I guess 😌
@@cardilucio5891 yes, take your time with yourself and -youre welcome ♥
I'm so confused to start because i can't afford most of the tablets or ipads. But I'm starving to do something in the digital medium
@@AbdullahKhan-ep9db maybe really try to draw on your phone ! You can get a simple pen for that. I know a really good artist drawing on his phone !
Hallo my daughter in law, a really great video clip. You can be proud about it.
🙃Thank you so much !

The way she drew such perfectly straight lines with the right length and pressure on that dress... I can't even do that with connect-the-dots.
There is a function called stabilization, Helps a lot with that!
For most people an iPad with the Apple Pencil 2 and procreate is the best way to go. I started with a Wacom tablet and there was all kind of issues. The proportions of my monitor were off and kept resulting in diagonal lines instead of straight. looking at one screen while drawing on a different surface was counterintuitive. There was also software driver issues. It was a big learning curve that I found hard to go back to at the beginning stage. Also you need a computer and an adobe software subscription or equivalent.. Procreate costs 10 bucks and is amazing.
All of this is why I went with the iPad and Apple Pencil. And I also swear by Procreate! That software is awesome!
I've been doing research since I am interested in Digital Art. I'm used to just painting/drawing/doing small cardboard builds. Thankbyou SO MUCH! I had NO IDEA where to start for a program to use.
I first started my digital art journey on my Nintendo DS's picto chat. And than MS paint
haha coming to think about it i started mine on picto chat too :DDD
@fjordwind haha oh humble beginnings. I'm glad I wasn't the only one
Save up and get an 12.9" (or bigger when they release one) iPad Pro and you won't be disappointed. I have a Wacom Cintiq Pro 24" and it collects dust now that I have my iPad and a sketch board pro that it sits in.
I hope to see s00n iPad Pro 14"
I personally have used a Fujitsu stylistic q704 for years as a sketching tablet. It's a tablet that has a couple of different optional keyboard docks. One that's just a keyboard, and one that has a bunch of ports and is also an expanded battery. It uses a wacom EMR digitizer as well as a touch screen. They are not the fastest computers ever that is true. But it's plenty enough to run something like a windows 11 lite or Ghost Spectre install and a handful of useful apps for graphics design an or photo manipulation.
I am really baffled that this is your first video ever, it is already soo good. Please keep up the great work, I can't wait for the next one 😍
Oh my Gosh you have no clue how much this means 🥹♥️thank you !!!

Thank you for putting this video up, i tried 3 years ago on those cheaper ones that you cant see your lines, assumed it was me being a techno failure. So thanks to your video ive now downloaded sketchpad on my mobile: so fun and easy ❤
Nice hope you keep it going ☺️👌🏻
Wow, this was an amazing first video! I’ve watched a few on digital art and this is the best one hands down! Thank you! So very informative! You are appreciated! ❤🫶🏽

Thank you for taking the time Victoria!!☺️♥️
Hi Elena! Thank u so much for the vid! I can't wait to start drawing on my i-pad! Again thank u!❤
You are so welcome!
I started out because of free time during lockdown. XP-Pen deco 01 V2 is the first pen tablet I've ever own and had served well. Also used Krita exclusive because I was still learning and it is really has almost everything needed for beginner to dabble in and for pro to work with it and still it is completely FREE.
Just recently got my own Ipad and the convenience + drawing on display I don't think I could go back to doing art on the old pen tablet but what I learned still applicable and there's value in gaining those experience.
Completely what I experienced 🤗♥️
So lovely to see you Elena ❤ Great video! 🎉
aw thank you so much lovely mia !🥰💞
You're terrific! I nearly wasted a lot of money on a new tablet until you made me think of my phone & for my art the phone is fine. Have a cracking 2024 God bless & all the best!
Very happy to have helped you with my video! Have a great 2024!
My first digital art (other than gimp photo edits in 2008) was on my iPhone 6 with one of those pens that have a rubber stylus tip on the end! I used procreate pocket and with those brushes was getting compliments on my line work
(I’ve since upgraded to an iPad and then an iPad Pro)
I have a Motorola sketch pen & phone, owned by Lenovo - oh dear, just let the cats leap out of the bag!
Thank you so much!! 🥰
I feel like it took me 10 exhausting minutes to finally step foot on the exact type of video ive been looking for THANK YOU SO MUCHHHHH🤗💕
Glad you had the patience to find mine in this jungle of Videos ! ☺️
Thank you Elena
Such a great video! And a lot of valuable information too, thank you! 😊
Glad you think so ! 🥰
12,9" iPad Pro and Procreate is by far the most satisfying experience. So much smoother than working on a pen display connected to your laptop. If you're on a tight budget, make sure to buy an older used iPad Pro. Everything from 2018 version works great. 128-256 GB space should be enough for most cases.
Thank You! This video helped me out a LOT.
Happy I could help!!🥰♥️
Such a lovely and informative video! great stuff! :)
Thank you so much ! ☺️
Toller Einstieg! 🎉 Ich bin gespannt auf deine weiteren Videos. ❤
herzlichen Dank Kalaida !!!🥰
One nice thing about the recent Samsung S series phones is the stylus. It makes on the go sketching fun.
I have the S23 Ultra! I'm a longtime Note fan, I was so disappointed when they didn't announce a new one in 2021. But they just merged them into the flagship.
Nicely thought out and concise presentation 🔥
Thanks a lot 😊!!!
This is a great video!! You get straight to the point and share very valuable knowledge. Cant wait to see some drawing turorials in the future!
Thank you this means a lot 💕☺
Really excited for that you started your youtube journey🎉
Awww thank you I‘m so excited myself ! 🙈♥️
Thank you very much for your suggestion, bc now i can make a better decision to get some equipment to start digital drawing. Keep going on your channel. Best regard from me ☺️
Thank You ever so much !
The video looks very professional. A a very good job for your first video 👍🏻
Thank you thank you thank you 🙃!!!

Very well done video and great content! 👏🏾💜😊

This was great information thank you so much for sharing ❤🎉😊
Very welcome ! 🤗
Thanks, GOD bless you.
Yes, photoshop is really overwhelming for someone that quits using it in her teens and now in her 30s. Thank you for the other suggestions, I start navigating the LED Tracing Pads and then digitize the resulted art to be able to edit them
Wow! Thank you! You are so talented! 😇🙏🏼♥️🤩🤗🥰😍🥳
Aw thank you very much ! Happy you liked it ☺️♥️
I'm just getting into digital art. I have watched quite a few videos on the subject the last few months and I have to say your video is one of my favorites. Your editing and delivery are great. Then I find out that this is your first video...wow. Now I just need an Ipad Pro, and then I will be unstoppable. Dang, but now I also want a German with an adorable accent.
this makes me so happy to read ~ glad you think it’s helpful content ! 😭♥️ also, I’m soo so insecure in my English and this is so cute 🙆🏻♀️
@@fjordwind I don't care how comfortable you get with English. Don't ever lose the accent. I forbid it.💯
@@finnthehuman934 😭🥰♥I'll try
Great video Elena, I'm hoping to get into digital art soon
Thanks s lot ! I wish you a great start to it !
Thanks for the Video, Very useful information.
Ver very welcome !
I got a scribe and liked it so I picked up an xpen 24pro for 600. I paint and airbrush so cool tool even if I don't super get into it. Thanks!
Basically every youtuber and all have created a mindset for beginners artist that the ipad and procreate is the ultimate goal whereas there are many other portable tablets from other brands aswell which are very good for digital art.
Maybe u can give us examples here 🙂? Cause I don’t own any other tablets. do you have experience with other multimedia tablets ?
Thank you for this
My pleasure !
😍 amazing tips you educated this baby very well. I will keep it in mind 😄🙏🏽
happy you like the video ! (:
I just bought a deco mini7 today and it's really nice to use
Oh great to hear that and Thanks for sharing your experience with us !
Thank you for sharing❤. This was very helpful. My husband has been an illustrator for more than 11 years. He used a tablet connected to his pc before. He suffered a massive stroke last year and is paralyzed on his left side. I want to get him to start creating again but he needs something more portable. Wasn't sure what to get him but now i think iPad pro would be the best option.
Youre very welcome I hope you can bring him to draw again , pretty sure it would make him happy (: all the best wishes for him ! and yes you probably cant go wrong with an ipad pro its the most portable solution in my opinion. and if youre on a budget check the air models theyre good too !
So helpful, thank u !!
Very welcome !
Thank you. This was very helpful
You are great 👍 😊
Thank you so very much ☺️
Thank you, this is really helpful. I won a Wacom Cintiq 16 at work and I still need advice on how to get started with it and digital art in general. Looking forward to more advice from you in the future, great job.
I‘m very glad you think my content is helpful ! For sure there will be more tutorials in near future !
When it comes to the phone, no other phone beats the Samsung Ultra line. I have used my S22 Ultra for high quality notes more so than drawing but the tracking and latency are really great.
Thank you, I recommended your videos to my gf, she is an artist and wants to move to digital arts.
You could also get a galaxy tab with s pen. It’s awesome with sketchbook. Clip studio also works well. Cheaper than an iPad and comes included with stylus.
Hey, one of the best first videos I have ever seen. We need more......
Thank you ! There will be more ! Posting weekly ! 🤗♥️
Hello, Elena. Krita has an Android version now.
Excellent video and tips
❤❤❤ty for this great video
Very welcome and happy you enjoyed it ☺️
Thanks ♥ It was really helpful🙂
Glad it was helpful!☺️
Thank you so much 😊👍🏻
Very welcome !
Thank you! I do wonder if some new artists might really benefit from drawing on paper with a pencil, then scanning or photographing their work, then digitally drawing over their work on a new layer in their art application. I spent a lot of time doing that and it really helped the transition from physical to digital artwork.
I think so too! I it’s really a great way to smoothly transition from traditional to digital !
Thank you for this great idea. ❤ I didn’t know you could do that!😮
I would really recommend these open source softwares for editing your art and also digital art: GIMP and Krita. GIMP is basically the free Photoshop that does most of the things Photoshop can do, and it's very versatile and flexible. Krita is also free and great for editing, digital animation and drawing.
and does gimp work good with wacom?:)
Beautiful 😍 I'll try soon ☺️😘
Yey 🤗💜!
so helpful thank you
Very welcome!
Great video - really professional. What I really like is that you present tools from those for really entry level - to those more advanced. You do not boast and pretend someone "PRO" while explaining what to use - what to chose. You do not suggest most expensive and "recent" gadgets. I think that makes your video much more "pro" and true - at least for guy like me. I am not an artist (unfortunatelly however I still enjoy "playing" with digital art stuff. Therefore I really enjoyed this video.
Thank you so much for this encouraging comment ! I’m very glad you like my honesty here :)
Very underrated channel. Thank you
thank you so very much !!!
I started with mobile, bought a redmi pad a month ago, but i still love to use my finger for drawing lol
Very well explained 👍
Thank you so much !
also to those who may not want an ipad but still want a tablet, samsung s series tablets are also really good for drawing. the cheapest s6 lite 2022 can be found for around the same price as the cheap display drawing tablets mentioned (200-300$). Ipads can easily be expensive in some countries so it's not the only option for portable digital art
thank you for your infos and sharing your experience !
Thank you !!!!
Very welcome!
This is a great video!!!
Thank you!!
I am gonna get a tablet with display from the get-go, I cannot stand using my finger to draw. I used to draw way back, and wanted to get back into it, but using digital this time around, if I find out it is not for me, I am gonna gift it to my niece that loves to draw. So either way it is a win imho.
Thanks for the video, I have no idea what to get going into this, and this gave some pointers, especially on the software side. Only thing I am wondering about is side stuff, like do I need a glove when drawing? Seems handy.
Thank you 🙂
Very welcome !
For me the best thing is a good PC, photoshop, wacom intuos (I bought it for 80 euros 3 years ago, I think its cheaper now) and a good scanner. I draw my images on an A4, then scan it and I do the colouring in photoshop. The combination free style and digital looks the right thing... like a good fiction movie with less CGI!
thanks for sharing your experience with us ! i need to try that scann than color process too !
I'd say phone and finger are the perfect start
Upgraded my 2 in 1, to: 4K & 9i, w/16gigs of DDR5 RAM. Loaded Manga studio 5/Clip Art, plus Photoshop 6, both licensed. But the real beauty in my Touch screen with a rechargeable pen is:
WACOM TABLET licensed within! Beauty in the Beast, just rocks!! My other one aged out, after 7 years. I'm having cake and pie!
So professionell ich liebs! Bin ganz stolz auf dich Enchen ♥️🤓
Vielen lieben Dank Nin ☺️🧡
OK. Real talk. I was shocked this was your first vid just from the thumbnail alone. The design is clean and straight to the point. It immediately grabbed my attention and I knew exactly what the video was about, and it gave me a reason to watch it (e.g., what am I going to waste money on? I need to watch to find out!). That's ignoring the video quality itself and how helpful the information in it was. I'm excited to see you continue to grow on here!
Ok you know what I’m crying this is sooo unreal to read !!🥹♥️thank you so much this motivates me a lot to continue this journey here !!!
@@fjordwind I'll be here for it! I know from personal experience how much hate comments can get to you, and conversely how much positive ones can do for you so I try and spread positivity when I can 🙂

Super useful. Can you do a video on your art journey and how you practiced, how many hours roughly etc
Thanks for the idea! 🙂
I use the Samsung tab S7 to do my digital art painting, it works well for me, portable and I can take it anywhere I go.
Which app?
