@@aarondavies8164 Thank you for your service, Sir. If you enjoy traveling vicariously, I can tell you a couple others that will take you along for the ride, if you like. And if @ThroughMyLens doesn't mind.
Oh man, this is the first actual video I’ve watched of someone going into the park and showing the different trails, only seen pictures before. This is definitely going to the top of the list of parks to visit, so incredibly beautiful.
My husband and I spent a week at Yellowstone then drove south up up up and down down down a white knocked mountain pass to Grand Teton. We were pulling our little Winnebago. We stopped at Mt. Rushmore along the way, then Badlands, then Devils tower. Every night curled up snug as a bug in a rug in our Winnie. At Devils Tower we spent nights staring at the stars over the tower. We did most of our driving on weekends when national parks are busiest. We visited those on a weekday. My husband has a long lens camera so we didn't have to be dumb tourists trying to get close to wildlife with a cell phone camera. We noticed the paved wide bike path at Teton. It's on the right side of the main road going for miles. We had our bikes on our SUV so we stopped at one of the parking lots in Teton, got on our bikes and what a backdrop riding along in perfect weather for a 5 mile ride. It was tough getting off the bikes. We had dinner at Jenny Lake $$$ and walked around the lake. I was a bit nervous since a rather large Bear had just passed us. Even though my husband had bear spray on his left hip, his right hip had real bear spray by Sig Sauer. When we returned home we read about a woman who was killed by a bear. Her bear spray can was empty. At the 2:35 mark when you mention 'this is a beautiful trail' can you point the camera at the trail? Actually, we can hear you very well as you walk and point to where you are walking. I will give you credit though that you don't keep the camera on yourself as much as so many videographers do. It's amazing to think there are people who ski down those mountains. We noticed snow on the mountains even though we were there for the month of Jully 2023. Good video. Clear and concise.
Hi Josh. My husband and I are fairly new to your channel but have been watching it daily since we found you. I love your voice, your information, your videograpy and everything about your channel. We are sheep farmers in Canada with a daily vlog. We are having lambs right now, so we have been in a sort of lock down for the last few months. We love nature, hiking, travel and photography and do as much of it as we can when we are not working on the farm. Just wanted to thank you for your great work and to let you know that I am telling my viewers about your channel as well 🙂
I live vicariously through your videos, they keep me motivated to work hard and one day live my dream of traveling the United States and visit all the beautiful scenic places both popular and off the beaten path. Thank you for your hard work.
We went last year and it was beautiful! We did the hike at Jenny lake and then took the boat back which was nice to give ourselves a deserved treat😊 you can never get tired of seeing the mountain range. We miss it so much we are going back this summer again.
We were there early Sep 2023. No photos or video can fully capture the stunning beauty of the GTNP. You Must experience this park First hand to behold the sheer Awe and natural beauty on display.
I come from the French alps but what a landscape with fantastic views, great hikes and yes the reflection of the Grand Teton is spot on. I also like the hike with the waterfall and the Amphitheatre lake👍❤️
I've wanted to go to Grand Tetom so bad and have been contemplating planning a trip for some time in the future. But this video has cemented my decision to go! You showcase it at its most beautiful.
The cascade canyon trail is my favorite trail in the national parks. I’ve been to lake solitude twice and the walk back seeing the backs of the Tetons is just stunning. Every time I’ve been on the trail I’ve seen moose. Pretty cool!
Wow! Grand Tetons was wonderful! Loved seeing that highest lake in the bowl! Also loved seeing the buffalo and the bear and the water with the reflection of the Tetons! So beautiful! Thank you so much!❤️😀🇺🇸🙏
I hiked to Delta Lake in 2018 and it was gorgeous. It wasn't hard to follow and find when I hiked it, just really steep. I also hiked through part of Cascade Canyon on a different year and it's one of my all time favorite spots. I lived a few hours away until 2021, and I miss making trips out there so much.
Discovered you not too long ago and now watching everything you present. I like our style, and to the point. So many folks puff it up with useless crap. Just tell me if it great or sucks. I can see from the vids. You have an easy presentation that you were born with or learned. Doesn't matter to me. I like it. One thing I and suspect others would appreciate (and you might hate) is how dogs fit in where you are. A lot of us travel with dogs and you might not care about them or even be irritated by them but the fact is, you have many folks watching. Consider talking about the subject. Like if dogs are allowed or not where you are and how they must be handled. Most National Parks are not dog friendly, especially on hiking trails but some are. As a travel guide, you need to be educated as to the rules wherever you are. Beyond the dog thing, you are great and precise to what we want to know.
My mom lived in Pocatello as a child. Her family would do most of their camping at Jenny Lake. Also my grandmother's name was Jenny. We also enjoyed several camping trips to the area. Great video and amazing scenery.
Another great video, Josh. Grand Tetons is at the top of my favorite parks list. I drove from San Diego to Yellowstone in September 2021, stopping at GTNP on the way up and the way back and was enthralled by the massive mountains jutting up from the surrounding plains. Sadly, wildfire smoke and haze made it difficult to see them on my northbound leg, but a fresh rain cleansed the skies for my southbound leg. It was great. If I may make a suggestion: It would be helpful if you put the actual travel dates either in the description or as a brief graphic in the video (or both). It would help those planning a trip understand what they may experience.
Thanks for sharing your story with us! Bummer the smoke made them hard to see! Good catch about the dates, I always forget to include that, and will update the description with it. This was in August.
I get the feeling with the moose. My wife and I ride a bike trail often in North Idaho and every time we see moose. We will stick around 20 mins just watching them do whatever they do. Of course at a safe distance. Sometimes when it snows up here, the moose will just lay down and chill. Some roads will just have moose laying down the whole drive. It never gets old. I love the Tetons. Every time I go, I think that Yellowstone is a decoy to keep people away from the Tetons lol. I prefer it over Yellowstone
The sunset view of the reflection of the mountains on Jenny Lake- blue, purple, and black in varying gradients is also quite stunning. You can see it a short walk from Jenny Lake parking lot.
When I was there years ago I drove up a mountain road to a viewpoint that was exceptional. I did not see that in your video but I did not do the trail up to the two mountain lakes so I would love to do that trail if I get back there one day! Nice video!
GTNP is beautiful and such and iconic park! When I visited, we took a boat across Jenny Lake and as we arrived to the other side, we spotted a Bear literally walking RIGHT BEHIND a hiker on the trail. Luckily they weren't hurt 😊 Would love to return to the Tetons one day.
Awesome video! I really enjoyed it. I visited Grand Teton last summer and I have one recommendation - try not to visit on a cloudy day. It was beautiful but all the mountains were shrouded in clouds. This video shows the awesome views that I unfortunately missed.
When we drove from Yellowstone to Grand Tetons through the John D Rockefeller Parkway, there is a beautiful hot spring called Polecat Hot Springs that we took a dip in. It was my favorite part of visiting of that area.
Great video, watched your Canada ones and loved them too. We've added Tetons to our bucket list, didn't even know about them till NC Memorymakers did their video. Looking to visit next September from UK.
Also, we spent the majority of one of the days at String Lake. The water was clear and not that deep throughout almost the entire lake! Perfect beach day.
Do Delta Lake next time as well! Suprise Lake is beautiful. Amphitheater Is even more beautiful. And Delta lake even moreso!! I hiked it before it got insta-famous, so I am not sure how it is now, but back then there was no trail once you leave the Amphitheater lake trail. I've been going to the Tetons every year for the past decade! Just listened to 16:50 haha I think it's worth doing. I have done a lot of off-trail hiking in the Tetons.
The Tetons are visually stunning, Josh, and my absolute favorite peak to behold is Mount Moran, set off by its iconic Frying Pan Glacier. Great video tour of the park! 👍
I looooved Grand Teton. I enjoyed it more than Yellowstone. The only complaint I had was the parking! Sometimes waiting an hour and a half for a spot or more.
I do highly suggest doing the cascade canyon trail as early in the morning. I started my hike at 6am from String Lake trailhead. Beware you will probably be the only one on the trail until the last part of the return CC. I had to stop multiple times waiting for animals to wake up from sleeping on the trail. Like moose and smaller animals. It does add around 3 miles unless you do the whole Jenny lake loop as well, which I did.
I enjoy all your insights of vast and beautiful nature of America.. One day I will travel all through North American continent and especially us west. Greetings from Croatia EU. 👍
So beautiful. I wish I didn't have such a phobia of bears. I would have freaked out upon seeing one, even though small. I would love to do this trail, but only with a large group because of my fear, sadly.

@@ThroughMyLenssome Of your best footage yet , I went there around 10 Years ago and was blessed with blue sky and sunshine and it was truly unbelievably beautiful. I hope to go back again . Jackson is a cool town also
Yeah, Schwabacher Landing is indeed one of the best landscape photography spots there, as is Oxbow Bend (but isn't that outside of the Park? Been a while) :-)
I’m 79 and disabled. Visited through your video. Thanks.
Thanks so much for the comment, I am glad the video showed you the park. I hope you enjoyed it!
