What makes you believe, that these people have anything to do with Jesus Christ? It's obvious that they follow a different religion and are not saved. The terms "god" and "heaven" are not exclusive to Christianity and "follow the law" or "do a good job" is part of many religions, but it's not the Gospel.
You're called to not assume a gender, but it's also wise to not assume Christianity.

    • @davidlampmanmusic
      @davidlampmanmusic 3 роки тому +5

@@buddha3209 God spoke for himself through his Word and his Word commands us as Christians to speak up for Him; He designed it to work that way. In the Christian community, we don't keep it a secret when we receive Jesus. Our religion is not meant to be private, our instruction manual teaches us to share it with as many as we can (because we are just that excited). Until Caitlyn is unashamedly speaking for herself about her encounter with Jesus, then we have reason to believe she hasn't had one yet. Some may say that her relationship with the Lord is none of our business. To that I would argue that in the Christian community, we don't mind people getting in each other's business about wether or not we are actually Christians. We give each other permission to judge each other and hold each other accountable. If Caitlyn has had an encounter with Jesus, then no comment questioning her salvation beneath this video will bother her. If she has not, then she'll likely appreciate you sticking up for her. Caitlyn is not a project, and I don't have any hidden agendas for her life. If she believes what I believe, I will love her. If she doesn't believe what I believe, I will love her. I am not loving her to convert her, I am loving her because I have had an encounter with Jesus and it never stops.

Caitlyn is advocating works-based salvation over faith- based salvation. Morgan nails it here - we are saved by Christ. Now if being saved spawns good works, then all the better. I agree quite rarely (if I agreed all the time you’d be boring), but on this one, I’m on the same page as you two. And BTW - is anybody else creeped out by Caitlyn’s voice, or is it just me?

      Hey Katharina,
I don't care if you believe in God or not but I would like to remind you that he's very clear on this subject.
      1 Corinthians 6:9
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, 10nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God."
It's not judging to state the obvious.
Bruce will not have eternal salvation and the security that he will enter the kingdom of God until he admits his sins and confesses to Jesus that he is our Lord and Saviour.
      It's that simple. :)

Yes, I'm also curious what Paul and Morgan identify as. Just because many Christian religions hold that accepting Jesus Christ as your savior is not enough to warrant a place in Heaven. Like you mentioned, Catholicism is one such realigion, Eastern Orthodox another. It's the reason for Martin Luther leaving the Catholic church and the difference in Lutheran beliefs, but yes, all the oldest Christian religions hold that works are a requirement for heaven before that split. The Christian religion is a pretty wide blanket of ideas that really only all agree on the fact that Jesus Christ was the son of God.

If we trust in Jesus for our eternity, when we stand before God in His righteousness and not our own, we will get more then a “cmon in” we can have assurance and boldness on that day!!

I feel for Caitlyn. But the truth is the truth. He is the only way. How good is it that there’s nothing that we can do that will merit salvation? It’s amazing grace! All we have to do is receive Christ in our hearts and do life with Him. Awesome discussion guys!

I would like to start by saying this is not a hate comment in any way, shape or form. I just have some criticisms and try to come from the least biased place possible. Honestly, using someones preferred pronouns is a sign of maturity. Whether you believe that gender is malleable or not, it does no harm to anyone to use preferred pronouns. The only reason Paul doesn't use she/her pronouns is because he has the knowledge that Caitlyn is trans. I am willing to bet if he didn't know she was trans and was and was speaking of her, he would use she/her pronouns, as Caitlyn presents herself in a feminine way. He is just avoiding using her preferred pronouns to make a point. It is, however, a sign of immaturity, as his personal bias towards a group of people prevents him from being respectful. Again, it does no harm to address people in the way they desire to be addressed, so it is genuinely inconceivable why one would be so opposed to doing such. It is also arguable that Morgan took the phrase, "did a good job" more literalistic than Caitlyn means (perfectly fine, words have different interpretations). By "doing a good job", it is arguable that Caitlyn was using a broader phrase to encapsulate whether or not her earthly life would gain her acceptance into Heaven. After all, the Christian faith believes that how you live your earthly life is what deems you eligible for heaven. Paul and Morgan based many of their arguments on the way Caitlyn should have worded her statements in their opinion, rather than listening to the arguments/statements Caitlyn was making. They criticized her saying "come on in," despite the fact that it is a colloquial phrase. At the phrase's core, it describes gaining admission to heaven. The execution doesn't matter nearly as much as the argument at hand. Paul and Morgan overall focussed on the execution (dissecting colloquial phrases, knit picking sentence structure), than the core of what Caitlyn was really trying to say. One thing Paul and Morgan fail to do is understand that there are multiple perspectives when approaching the Bible. the Bible is not straightforward and leaves many vagues for people to find out, and that's totally okay! The evangelical lie that God has no grey in his word is flawed, as if the Bible was so clear and concise, there wouldn't be so many different denominations of Christianity. Especially when it comes to gender identity, it is not clear whether M-F or F-M transitions are sinful. Both sides of the arguments have had good reasons as to interpreting the Bible's stance, and many Christians even end up on the "I dont know" side of the spectrum. The "no true Scotsman" fallacy that Paul employs when dismantling the validity of Caitlyns pastor is an argument that many Christians make that is continuously debunked. Just because one has a different interpretation of the Bible does not in any way devalue the validity of one's religious values, let alone their church standing. Implying that Paul and Morgan's interpretation is the correct one (when saying the pastor is not truly following the Bible), they exhibit their prideful nature that they proudly parade around their videos with, shown through the fact that they believe their interpretation is the most God ordained one. Also, Paul and Morgan, it is seen as offensive to refer to someone's "dead name" (their name pre-transition) when referring to the individual. Just for future reference, it is seen as respectful to address someone by their current name even when referring to them before they transitioned. If you're confused on how to address a trans individual when speaking of a time before they transitioned, you can use the phrase, "pre transition". I am not a member of the trans community, so if someone reading my comment is, please feel free to correct me! But it would be more respectful if you were to refer to Caitlyn before she transitioned as "Caitlin before she transitioned", etc :). I appreciate how passionate you are about what you believe in and love that you didn't turn the comments off haha.

While our salvation clearly hinges on our acceptance or rejection of Christ, I don't think that we should minimize the amount of work that God calls us to do. While our salvation is not contingent on our work, there is still a lot of work to be done for the glory of God. James says "What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?...Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead."
Also the question "Did I do a good job?" (although heavily simplified) has biblical precedent. One of the parables in Matthew suggests that we strive to live a life that would make God say "Well done good and faithful servant." A servant who does not serve is not a very good servant.
Faith is critical for salvation. But if you aren't living out your faith in your works and actions, your faith is likely fairly inauthentic.

Yes! Finally someone who brings this up🙌 I don't understand why people tend to only talk about the part where it's a free gift but don't mention how there is also an overcoming we need to do. It even says in phillipians 2:12 how we are to work out out our salvation with fear and trembling. Also in revelation 3:5 implies our mames can be erased from the book of life. Hebrews 6 and 10 also show how there is pple that can even fall away. So yes it's a free gift but there is definitely a work we need to do on our part, like keeping the oil for the lamps like being vigilant for He comes like a thief in the night. This is all stuff that requieres us some work. And it ain't easy sometimes. And we cannot just think it's not necesary as well for salvation because it is.

Noone is getting into heaven based on "being a good person".
So imagine you stole something (committed a sin) and since you stole something, and the next day you die and meet God and reminds you that you stole and now you have to pay for it the sin you committed which would be eternal separation from God and you're like "no God, I only stole once look at all the good things I did" but that debt of what you stole is still owed. Well for Christians instead of us, having to pay the debt for our sins. We believe that Jesus Christ came to take our place so we won't ever have to face eternal punishment.
Noone is going to heaven because we "are good people" its about what you believe.
God gives us a free will and there are consequences. What reap what we sow.
There is still hope for Caitlyn, Caitlyn has to repent and ask forgiveness of sins and accept Jesus Christ as Lord.
Same for you and same for anyone else.

Another thing is I don't want to hope I get in that's scary and terrifying sorry I just wanted to put that you got to know that you know that you know that you're going to heaven and the only way to do that is to accept Jesus Christ

Matthew 19:21 answers this perfect. Good deeds will not give you a ticket to heaven.

Bruce is not a she. It is wrong to affirm sin, please don't do that. Have you guys been born again of the water and of the Holy Spirit (John 3:5-7)? have you been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and been filled with the Holy ghost with the evidence of speaking in another tongue? (Acts 2:38, Acts 10:44-48?)

It’s very intriguing that you guys mention how Caitlyn doesn’t have any scriptures to back up anything she’s saying yet AS BIBLICAL DOCTRINE Christians yourselves YOU never put up scriptures to support anything you guys talk about in any of your videos! If you guys can’t lead by example on your own channel yourselves, what gives you the right to call out others to do something YOU’RE not doing yourself?! Ughhhh, I get what you guys are trying to do but you guys go about the content you post the wrong way. (Sadly they probably won’t read this) I couldn’t even finish this video because you’re talking about how pastors need to point to scriptures yet you guys don’t do it in your own videos, you sound hypocritical.

I think Caitlyn is a humble person to say she hopes to get in heaven. And I do believe people with good hearts have a chance, because that is what they are judged upon.
Just because someone labels themselves Christian, doesn't mean they will just get into heaven automatically.

    • @ahhitskatie9094
      @ahhitskatie9094 3 роки тому +4

I’d respectfully disagree. We aren’t judged on having good hearts because not one of us are good. Instead, it is because of that choice we make to trust in and believe in and follow Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. He is the only way to heaven.

@@ahhitskatie9094 that's so toxic. Sounds like an abusive relationship

@@ahhitskatie9094 Our hearts are our inner, most deepest feelings. If our hearts are toxic, then we ourselves are just that. And to be so toxic on the inside, but yet "do good" on the outside, is basically like lying. It's not who we really are. As above, so below. What we think about is who we become.
And all the Christians saying they will just make it to heaven soley for being "good" says a lot about them. They are not humble at all, but rather prideful, instead. And usually the most judgemental people on the planet.

Maybe people are born a certain way because we are all born in sin but born again in Christ Jesus, thank you Lord! No sin is greater than the next besides blasphemy of the holy spirit.

I completely agree with you and I especially love how kind and caring you are even though you don't agree with Caitlyn. You aren't making light of the very real struggle that some have with gender identity, you are simply pointing them to God and warning of the deceitfulness of our hearts. You handled this whole topic very gracefully.

Caitlin Jenner…. Has asked a really good question that I think young people need to think about. Because they don’t know for sure if there’s anything else except heaven or hell. And if it were me and I were them I would surely be was wishing for heaven. Also if it was PTA night, in the high school, I would not like to see Kaitlyn Jenner in the ladies room or girls bathroom with my gkid.
If just hate for God to say to me….”so, you think I made a mistake?”

A lot of us Christians forget about certain things we talk about heaven and hell it’s only temporary for us you have to remember in revelation talked about the resurrection of the righteous and the followers of Christ we will have immortal bodies in the king James version of the Bible 1 Corinthians 15 talks about the resurrection as well
