I didn't even watch this video but I am leaving a comment letting you know the jacyln Glenn thing has run it's course. I personally would never make another video about her . She has made it clear her feelings about God now just pray for her soul and move on from her. You owe her no further attention. I would hate to think you are using jacyln just to get views on your channel. Jesus would want you to do better. The way I have heard this woman talk about my Lord and king over the years sickens me. She must be demon possessed. If she is than you are entertaining demons for profit.

I used to know a lgbtq guy who was my friend even though he didn't agree with my walk with Jesus. But he still treated me with basic human respect. That's why we where good friends , even though we had disagreements there was enough respect there not to tread on each other. The way jacyln Glenn talks about Jesus I'm not sure how any Jesus believing person could be friends with her. I would love to pray for her and maybe help her get saved someday. But to hang out with her there would have to be some boundaries set. When hanging with me there would be no king bashing if you know what i mean. Some of the anti god stuff i have heard in her videos makes me cringe. Maybe you need to ask her what happened to her at that girls school she went to. Thsts what started all this hate for God.

@@postplays The world is not screwed because women are working. Except for rich people, women were largely working before the Industrial Revolution. The idea of the housekeeper emerged at that time. And since then the world has went through a lot of difficult moments, wars, etc. comparable and often worse to the situation today. And again it had nothing to do with women working. I would even say that women re-entering (again not applicable to poorer people) the workforce was positive for the society -> less dependence leads to less abuse - which, as we know, has bad consequences for both the mother and the children. Besides that, we need both parents to raise their children....

    • @nachgeben
      @nachgeben 2 роки тому

@@Margolette1 The fact that abuse and reliance is an issue is because on unreliable men. When men fit themselves into the proper place, a woman--who is biologically hardwired for child rearing--doesn't NEED independence like you're describing. Good husbands won't demand silent wives obey. Good husbands won't abandon their families.
And I know you'll get all pissy about the biological thing.
Women are better mult-taskers and are able to handle more pain before shock sets in than men, but also experience pain at a greater level. The reason?
Men need to hyperfocus to work, hunt, fight. Women need to multitask so they can care for the home and children at the same time.
Men need to experience less pain but fall into shock quicker due to the higher risk they should be at protecting the family, fighting, hunting.
Women can endure more pain before shock both for child birth (the equivalent of being shot, of not worse) and to escape if wounded, taking her children with her. However, she experiences more pain to know when it's time to run instead of allowing the pain to continue, to save herself and her children.
Women have far more nerves/nerve endings in their bodies than men.
We are equal but different. It's true that women being in the workforce is an awesome thing. But when a woman has a husband that does his job as a husband, she shouldn't need or want to. Just like his job is to care for her so she is happy, healthy and in shape for taking care of the children.
The only reason things like child support and alimony exist is because men liked to run off and leave highly uneducated women with the children and no means of supporting them outside of prostitution and crime.
Therefore, women should be educated and should be allowed to work, but shouldn't need to worry about it so much if her husband does what is his job. And in exchange, he has the absolute pride of having a healthy, happy family, home, life. He can say "I fought hard, worked hard, and this is my accomplishment, and they respect me for it because I respect them by loving, leading and supporting them."
Do you grasp the concept of partnership yet?

    • @Margolette1
      @Margolette1 2 роки тому +1

@@nachgeben Sure, I know what partnership is thank you. Partnership is not co-dependence. So I just don't see it the same way as you. It's working very well for me, I have my long term partner and we are both keeping financial independence while working together to a same common goal.
You are talking about an (=your) ideal familly structure, and you blame people that don't succeed in what you consider is the best for the society. Not everybody thinks that it's the best model though, and the model creates huge issues for women when their husband end up being awful, or get sick or die. You should never be in a situation where if the other cannot do his part, you end up poor.
About the biology findings, yes there are differences, but keep in mind that it's not as easy as it seems. Biologic differences come from our sex and the fact that women can bear children, while the amount of testosterone give men more muscles (and more aggressive thoughts but anyway). Those differences were also accentuated by the patriarcal society with a constant selection of partners corresponding the most to the roles they wanted to force upon them. And you will be surprised (I guess) to learn that women were also hunters during the prehistoric times.
And those times have ended anyway, we are not hunting to survive, most people work a 9 to 5 in jobs easily accessible to both sexes.
People like you have also to realize that men should play a large part in the education of their kids, there is no excuse it's 50-50%. They need to spend as much time with them as their partners, the absence of a parent in the life of their kids is one of the major factors to the different society issues that we see. And I am not talking about the fact that children must have a parent of each sex (studies have shown that same sex/gender parents were educating their children as well as heterosexual parents), but instead, that feeling unwanted and uncared for by one of our parents is one of the most destructive things ever for a child

Why are men praised and rewarded when they prioritize their education and career but women are continually vilified for doing the same thing? That logic assumes that women's role is more important to the family than men's and/or that women's sole role in society is to be married. There's nothing biblical saying that men can't prioritize their family and home in an equal manner to women nor that women can't prioritize their education and career in an equal manner to men. The gender roles we know today are enforced by culture, not by God, and what JLP & his cohosts purport is blatantly oppressive towards women.

I’m also studying, during work hours, for an additional exam (for the finance industry that i work in) that will aid in a promotion. If I didn’t do all of this, we would probably literally be homeless. If I didn’t have my education and my industry experience, we wouldn’t have food to put on the table. So to these men, I ask, “What is more damaging? A woman with an education working and getting things done for her family, or a family in LITERAL FINANCIAL CRISIS?”

I like that you guys can be nice even to people who doesnt have your opinion. Thats rare nowadays - because most people connect opinions to the person in their mind : ''if a person has not my opinion, he/she is for sure a bad person'' .... We maybe even are all raised that way. To overcome this is a very big step - and i'm not sure wether i have this accomplished for myself as good as you guys.
Atheist or religious: we all want and try to be just good persons i think. At least most of us. And its so cool to see people who look to : ''what connects us'' instead of ''what divides us''

I understand that roles and genders have been completely wiped out of our generation and that is wronged and unbiblical. Also there are times when we as women takes on too much and it can be toxic but what those guys said and how they said what they said was wrong in my opinion. I stand with Paul and Morgan on this one. It pretty much sums up how I feel. For me leadership in the church and the home look different then how things are in the world. The head of the home /head of the church we need to turn to scripture cus it is clear. Men should love women like Christ loves the church. Being leaders, teachers, loving, caring. Doing what he teaches and being a good example. Men actually have alot more responsibilities because they need to be an example just like Jesus. We all need to be more like christ but as a wife I look up to my husband and he is my spiritual leader.

My 2 cents is this, I hear from many people that they do not like the direction the education system is headed or has been but I do not see those same people jumping at the chance to change it. I do not see those who are upset becoming educators, running to be on the school board, or even showing up to parent/student/teacher events. Heck as a mom I have been PTA secretary and the total number of dads in the PTA was 3. No men ran to be PTA leaders. Perhaps the issue isn't the fault of women leading perhaps the fault lies with men not stepping up and being part of the childrens' education. As to women being educated the biggest blessing in life is to be knowledgeable on many subjects. College isn't necessary for a woman to be educated. It may be necessary for a career but I learn something new every day and I do that by using my phone. What their conversation should have been is should women go to college and plan for a career. At least then it would have been scripture based and not blaming women for all of the world's problems.

(Yes, this is a long time ago, I'm nearly 70 years old myself.) Her daughter, my grandmother was a garment worker in the US. Working-class women went to work, along with their husbands because it was necessary. The idea of the stay-at-home mother requires an income level that many families don't have.

Along with telling about how proverbs 31 makes thing with her hands, business minded and a leader. The seeds that those men are planting are bad seeds. They give christian men a bad name to people who aren’t believers. They weren’t being who Christ calls us to be at all. Please people don’t judge Jesus based on those men’s actions.

Morgan, you gave the one guy way too much credit. 😂When you repeat what the one guy says you say “They’re already conceited without all education” the guy says “all that stuff” listen to these guys They don’t even sound educated themselves!! Jesse can’t speak a sentence we can really even comprehend without subtitles.

Jesse has a cleft pallette. Its a type of deformity. Making fun of the disabled?
I'd love to hear how clearly you speak when on the radio.

    Former Christian for 10+ years.
Used to watch Jaclyn's videos through the years and still do now.
I do not hold an ill thought towards you 2 as people.
    You have really impressed Me.
I know the mindset you guys hold to.
That doesn't make me judge your character any different.
You two are wonderful human beings. I used to be scared of atheists and I did hold very extreme religious views in the past.
But you guys are what I always see as a Christian family.
I hope you do well in life. And I am so grateful there are Christians on youtube that are not like JLP and company.
You have values and know how to love and be good human beings.
It shows real character that you can see Jaclyn and perhaps other atheists as Human beings as well.
Much love I am subbed now.
Keep true to what you believe and keep the peace and love.
Much love to the followers of this ministry too.

One of Jaclyn's followers here. I want to say this is a great video. I don't agree with y'all on everything, but at least this shows that you are willing you call out those that twist your religion into something negative. I'm more of the live and let live. So if you guys are happy living a traditional Christian life and marriage then more power to you (especially if the whole "submit to your husband" isn't twisted into something harmful like it often is). Find someone that compliments you. So if you're like me and you're really unhappy living a traditional Christian life, then find a partner that compliments you so you can work together.

I love this! It may be my favorite video from you two. I think it's good that you both tried to "see where these men were coming from" a little bit and that Paul is not as "quick to pounce." I just find that to be an admirable trait. I also appreciate how you mention the bible verses associated with this topic. I totally agree with your thoughts.

This scripture came to my mind when Paul was saying that...
"My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry..." James 1:19
Much easier said than done! I appreciate how you each approached and handled this. I attempt to keep a level head about something like this, but I would have had a hard time sometimes... sheesh!
I also really appreciate the call to humility at the end, Paul. I think that was needed. God bless!😁

It’s ironic, a year and a half ago I couldn’t watch your videos. Then God spoke to me and said to seek out biblical perspectives. Now I watch each video of yours! My reaction to this video, was Morgan completely. Yes, I believe in gender roles but it is not biblical or okay to disrespect women. I’m delighted to be your sister in Christ! Coffee one day!

NGL I loved that you used Jaclyn's into for this! I haven't watched yet, but I am legitimately interested in what your opinions are regardless of whether I agree or not. I'm totally up for hearing your opinions on different ways Christianity is practiced and preached and general religious debate rather than owning the libs stuff. Will I agree? Not always. But is it interesting to hear? Yes!

I won’t even lie, I’m a Christian who is extremely Liberal and often my views align with Jaclyn. I don’t really agree with a lot of what you two say, but I appreciate this video. Thanks for calling out this extremism and not giving it the “okay” just because he’s “Christian”. I think it’s pretty cool that you could find some common ground with Jaclyn! More stuff like this please!!!

It was really interesting hearing your take on Jesse's video. While as an atheist myself I strongly disagree with some points you have made, I have a huge respect for your opinions. I love the way the whole discussion between you and Jaclyn gives a viewer two (very different at times) points of view regarding the issue. Despite the differences between our worldviews thank you for the fascinating video

I love that jaclyn and you guys are on good terms. I love both of y’all’s channels and I agree with you guys on a lot of things more than I do jaclyn but I have watched jaclyns channel a lot more than you guys’s. When I saw the picture of you four my heart just melted. It makes me so happy to see that even if yall don’t see eye to eye on everything that you can still be civil and even friendly. That is the right way to live and I love you all 💗
