No - the factory system is removed. The new unit comes with Google Maps already loaded, or you can purchase iGo mapping for $100 and not have to use data for navigation.

I have a 2018 f150 platinum. Would I lose the 360 camera? and what about the massaging seats. Does that stay working with this set up?
GM THREE I don't even use my Xm radio, but losing synch is the deal breaker for ME.
360 camera stays. Massaging seats will work from the seat switch.
Any Demo of the 360 degree camera still working available to see?
Unfortunately, I do not have a video showing the functions of the 360 camera. It will turn on in reverse or using the “Cam” icon. Then switch the view function by using the factory 360 button. As for the massage seats, they will work when controlled from the seat itself no longer with controls on the screen.
Does it work with stock cameras
Does anyone know how to fix the popping sound or has anyone had that issue when u shut off your vehicle. I currently have that issue and took it back to where I purchased my linkswell radio but they did nothing to fix the issue and I hate hearing it ever time I get out of my truck if anyone has a solution please let me know thanks
Is this a video for the Phoenix 12 inch or the Linkswell Gen 2 T Style? All of my research says this looks like the Phoenix.

LOL. Ford changed from the full touch screen in the earlier Platinum vehicles as it was a major complaint. I went from a 2013 all touch, to 2017 with big knobs.
I have a 2018 with touch screen. Zero problems. Maybe 17 had an earlier version? Sync 2?

We will be adding additional info regarding the vehicle image on our website. You can run Netflix just as you run UA-cam - just install the app and provide a hotspot for internet access...

On the GEN2 unit, it is done with an app that allows you to import your own 768x1024 image.

All the other linkswell screens I've seen for the F-150s are boring, black screen background with the apps at the bottom (in white). I find that painfully boring. Why is yours different?

+1 on this question. I am often in the woods with no cell/data reception. Can an external Sirius tuner hook up to an auxiliary input or something?

Yes you do. I spoke with a tech several months ago and he stated it was a software issue and that this was a low priority for them. Mine reads 47 below zero. I just sent another message to them to see if there is any news. It doesn't seem like a good practice to sell something you know is not working.

The F-250 and F-350 have three buttons on the top instead of two, which means you would have to lose one (or plug it in behind the dash and never access it). Linkswell should be coming out with an F-250/F-350 unit within 60 days that allows all buttons to be utilized.

Will it turn a manual heater and A/C F150 XLT into one that now has climate control?
It only moves the functions of the existing rotary control knobs to the touchscreen - it does not add any other features to the climate control system.

Sirius is way too important you guys need to find a way to make it work. anything that's dependent on the internet is no acceptable as it will not work when there is no sifnal. I like the concept thought.

As far as we know, there is no function that SYNC provides that's not done at least as well or better by Siri or Android

Everybody gets excited about removing knobs so that a full touch screen can be used - without realizing that now you HAVE to look at a screen to adjust the HVAC. Realize that the average threshold for a distraction causing an accident is only 3 seconds... If you have to find and push a soft button on the screen, then you have to see if it did what you thought. That's at least a few seconds of feedback loop.
IMHO this is always the weak spot of these new glass cockpit concepts done by people who are not familiar with automotive control design - Tesla is JUST as guilty of this. These things are always design around being the center of attention - whereas most factory radios are designed around control efficiency - because the driver should be paying attention to the actual job at hand that'll kill people if neglected: driving the $#+! car.
Havis, a police equipment provider, created a version of this called the Integrated Control System (now discontinued, blog.havis.com/check-out-the-havis-integrated-control-system-at-iacp/ ), that at least had the sense to retain the physical keys for HVAC and audio volume (because who wants your passenger trying to get at the steering wheel to find a volume knob?).
Until you make one that has XM radio, CD deck, and Sync3 including Nav and 360° Camera support, then I'm not interested.
CD & Sync will never happen, so I guess you won't have to worry about owning one. 360 camera, navigation are available on the new GEN2 unit and satellite radio is being worked on.
