Nicole built a small pool, a plunge. Naturally, swimming laps or long distances is not possible.. But now we can 😊. With this swimming belt or aquatic elastic you turn your small pool into a lap swimming pool! Great for excercise during Corona time when public swimmingpools are closed ;-)

Our pool is about that size. We have a tether too and it is a great workout. Getting a straight snorkel to do the crawl helps a lot.

you have given me hope in your video i can see i can do a pool the same size and be really happy swimming. i can afford a pool the same size in my country materials are less expensive.

I just though of this idea and googled it, and got your video as a search result. And I am more than happy to see the result. Now at least i can build my own small pool and try this idea to swim long distances even if the public pools remain closed or restricted post covid.

I did this year's ago, we have a very small pool. As a child I remembered we did something like this to exercise an injured horse.
You can rig it up so that when there is enough tension it triggers something that keeps track of the time you spent swimming. So that if you wanted to do 30 minutes of swim time it would tell you.
You might want to use smartwatch and set it to open water swimming workout mode

That's exactly what I did with my 15' round pool. I also added a snorkel and logged hours swimming, kickstarting my fitness program. The small pool rocks! While we did not build ours like Nicole, I was inspired by her DYI to see that it is possible (and fun!) to have even a small pool. Thanks, Nicole.

Me a servido de referencia tus trabajos para yo hacerme lo mismo.
¿Una pregunta no te pierde agua? te lo digo ya que veo que no lleva hormigón, solo la echo con bloques, y no le has metido hierros.
Y claro con la fuerza del agua y la presión que eso ejerce al tirarse, digo yo lo mismo se rompe o se raja, solo pregunto.
Para yo saber si la puedo hacer de la misma manera.

I admire this work, I've seen the other video and instantly wanted someone to do that too, I have a question though, so I'm not a good swimmer myself, but doesn't that give you an advantage to not allow you to drown as it's held from above the water surface? If you understand what I'm saying, on the bright side,, I'm in love with your work!

You can stand in our pool. Is a plunge.
the line will not keep you floating. Don;t use it if you don;t have plan B to keep you safe. In this case, the pool is not deep. Don;t try it in a deep pool if you are not a good swimmer.

Hello Nicole, I've very much enjoyed watching your videos . Can you please tell me were I could buy a swim belt like yours and maybe how to put a removable plunge pool on my deck? I live in an area that doesn't have the temperature in the winter to swim plus I'm planning on moving in the next year to a sunnier state. I'm looking for something affordable and moveable . Any suggestions would be appreciated . Keep up with the videos!!!!!

Nicole Michael kan er helaas geen filmpje van sturen. Mijn vrouw zwemt al 55 jaar elke morgen 1,5 uur. Maar nu alle baden gesloten zijn moesten ze in ons bad van 3x2,5 meter haar baantjes trekken. 😖😂😂😂😂
Ik geloof je direct Ger. Het is een prima oplossing in deze periode. Maar ook om toch baantjes te kunnen zwemmen in een klein zwembad.

Hi Nicole,hoelang houd de chloorrubberverf en is een liner in aanschaf duurder maar gaat deze niet veel langer mee..zodat je uiteindelijk met een liner toch voordeliger uitbent?
Hoi, ik vind de verf zelf mooier. Heb dit jaar nog een nieuwe laag er overheen gedaan, van Vista verf. Er is ook twee komponenten zwembadverf op de markt (ook van Vista). Ik vermoed dat die wat beter is, en deze kan tegen oliën (chloorruber niet zo goed, dus onhandig met zonnebrand). Ik heb destijds gekozen voor de chloorrubberverf, mede uit gemak en budget. Misschien als ik nu weer zou bouwen, zou ik me meer verdiepen in de twee komponenten. Maar vooralsnog is de chloorrubber een prima alternatief.
