- My progress on building hybrid super rig.
The goal is to have ability to switch the system in seconds from.
Handheld wireless system to Steadicam Gimbal to Arri Trinity style system by Tilta (Float)
This is prototype testing.
Great workflow

hey thanks for posting - I have a question please - do you know if the Tilta advanced side handle can control the RS2 focus motor and gimbal pan/tilt 'at-the-same-time' as the Tilta float remote module is connected to the RS2? Or do you have to initiate a new connection (pair it) when you want to use one over the other? It would be kool if both remotes could be simultaneously connected to the RS2 pan/tilt & focus motor ... for a difficult shot your camera assistant could pull focus for you before you revert back to operating the pan/tilt/focus control from the rig

I think it's too crowded.it seems uncomfortable to use .U can buy Tilta gimbal ring.That is more bigger and confortabble.And it has the same effect.
You make all your mods look comfy and easy to use to me. Still new to the float period. You do have a video on your vest belt mod and battery pendelum mod? . Another question is this setup prores raw friendly wirelessly? Thank you heaps! With your mods that work. If you have a bolt on float remote monitor mount extention ill buy one ! Thanks again
It's on my channel brother.. I only use wireless transmitter for focus pulling and monitoring. Everything gets recorded internally

@@camerariggingmods9667 mmm, actually no, I have tried the two smallest ones I have (the small Soonwell and another generic one) but there is always one corner of the battery that hits the RS2 arm when I try to do a specific oblique movement. That looks slimmer than mines... but maybe for my configuration (BMPCC+Irix cine lens+ dji motor+dji 3D Focus+Accsoon CineEye Pro2) it is simply a bit too much maybe...😅

Thanks. I’ll have to think about it. Only thing holding me back is the mounting and dismounting the rig alone on/off float arm. But overall it’s much closer mod to what I actually wanted the float for

this defeats the whole purpose of the float. you could have done this with and previous generation of steadicam vest..........
Hi 👋 yes you right it does defeats the purpose of the float. What I am trying to show here is ability to transform your Float in to almost anything with little bit of parts. Moral of the story is the Float parts is extremely modular. You can turn Float in to mini jib crane, or use the arm hand held support for heavy cameras and list goes on and on. Hope this explains meaning behind my videos. I talked to a lot of different videographers and a lot of them like a switch up. Not everybody going to use their float all day for every single shot. Except the float vest and arm are much ,much lighter and comfortable than other systems.
