Amazing. Push-button starter and remote wouldn’t kick the engine over. Googled my symptoms and stumbled across this video. Assumed it all a joke, couldn’t be, but for giggles and kicks I tried it. My connector didn’t appear disconnected but I did reseat it. I was floored when the engine turned over. Even the remote start is now working properly. Anyone with the same symptoms, this is not a joke. I’m quite confident you will mumble a happy “mother f*cker” at the results. Sir, you are a Golden God. Thank you and everyone who looks like you.

I found the same piece in my 2012 JGC. The black part was connected to the wire. I disconnected it for about 1 minute l, reconnected and the key fob works like new! Good work i was about to go buy some batteries in the morning!
Great great great video! The only one that I’ve seen that has made me say, “that’s it ! That’s the problem. I’m going to my car now to check it out”. I had some work done to my car and the mechanic had to put the spare on so he must have touched that wire and accidentally unplugged it somehow. @FuXk Niggaz Feelins Sorry I do not know the name of the part as I didnt have to replace, only reinstall. Hopefully someone can chime in and let you know the name of the part soon.
Very common issue. If you turn the key around and insert it, put your foot on the break, turn it once wait a few seconds turn it twice your lights engage should come on and then crank it.
The issue was not that we could not crank the vehicle with the key inserted, the issue was we could NOT crank the vehicle by just pushing the START button.

I have a problem if you have an idea about the topic. When I turn on the air conditioner, the compressor does not work until I turn off the vehicle. After it starts, I turn off the air conditioner button. The compressor continues to work even though I turn off the air conditioner button, and I must turn off the vehicle and restart it until the compressor stops.
I replaced a push start button for a 2017 Jeep Cherokee, and it was working fine. However, in the morning, it wouldn't start. I tried disconnecting the battery, but it didn't help. Also, the push start button remains in the "run" position and won't go back to "off."

Everything else works, locks, auto start, trunk release. More than likely a new Fob from the dealership will be required. When I purchased the car it only had one fob.

So when i attempted using the fob to push in key spot it reads damaged key. Does anyome have any advice ?? My jeep has been fidgety since i bought it 2nd hand.
