Lovely vlog. Fabulous drone shots - the fields look like green velvet! It certainly was a little chilly but worth it for those stunning views. Have a great week x 😊
Hi Mishka! Yes, those fields looked stunning didn’t they! We love getting the drone up, but it’s been so windy recently, so as soon as the sun came out and the wind dropped it was game on lol! Keep safe and warm and thank you! xx
Wow! -18C, now that’s cold!! Brrr! 🥶 We were only -2C, but it was a beautiful day so we didn’t mind, I don’t think we’ve ever had -18c in the UK! Stay warm xx
Hi Julie and Martin. Thank you so much for a great Vlog. Great pilot skills of your drone, lovely scenery, perhaps you can do a little more of our countryside. 🎉See you soon xx
Hi Glenn, thank you for the lovely comment, I still have a lot to learn flying the drone, so this is a lovely compliment! I will try to add more aerial footage, so long as the weather plays ball 🤪 Thanks Glenn xx
Foxton is lovely we have moored several times and walked into mh, one day we walked into mh with washing to a launderette only to find out later that there is washing machine and tumble dryer behind shop down the bottom 😂but we know now, lovely scenery keep warm.
Hi Lea, crikey, I’ve just looked that up, it’s over 4 miles and 1.5 hour’s walk from here to Market Harborough! That’s quite a trek! Foxton is beautiful, we’re hoping to go along to Market Harborough in the next week or so. Thanks Lea! xx
Hiya, no, our boat is a trad stern, so wouldn’t have a pram cover, they are for cruiser and semi-trad sterns that have a lot of outside space, ours only has a small area at the back, so no need and would probably look wrong lol, thanks! xx
I always look forward to your vlogs . This one as usual informative and beautifully shot. Take care of yourselves. One thing R I B engine seemed noisier than usual maybe was the wind. Cant wait for your next update.
Hiya! We said exactly the same, it must have been the wind, it was such a gusty day. I had that awful mic on which completely takes out all the ambient sound and only plays my voice (won’t use them anymore now) so with Martin not having any wind protection at the back it was quite a contrast sound wise, especially when editing lol. So pleased you enjoyed it though, thank you so much! xx
So beautiful! Since I’m just getting over a very nasty cold, I’m particularly grateful to enjoy the gorgeous scenery, lovely wildlife, and fine company in the warmth of my apartment in Arkansas. Feel better soon, Martin!
Hi Ann, sorry to hear you’ve not been well, hope you’re feeling better now. It was a lovely cruise, very scenic and luckily a beautiful day (apart from the wind) really pleased you enjoyed it. Thanks Ann xx
Hi Colleen, lovely to have you onboard! That’s where we started our love of boats and being on the water! We absolutely love the Norfolk Broads, we used to go every year! We especially loved the north section, Stalham, Ludham, Wrexham, Gays Staithe, Womack Staithe and Salhouse! Such a lovely place. Thank you! xx
Such a change in weather in this vlog, beautiful blue skies 💙 it certainly looks like a pretty part of the system 😊 I've never seen a towpath like that before, it must be really nad under those boards 😮 stunning colours and sunset ❤ stay safe xx
Hiya matey! Yes, it looks like the towpath had completely worn away, not sure if they plan to leave it like it is 🤷♀️ It really was a beautiful journey and a tarmac towpath and a launderette, what a bonus! 😃 xx
When you live in a dessert like California any and all rain is wanted we have had some flooding not at our place we live on a big hill . If it floods here on the hill the world is in for a big boating explosion.. @@JulieandMartinonRIB
Hi Dorothy, so pleased you enjoyed the aerial drone footage, it was a beautiful area. We were so lucky with the weather for our cruise, the sky was so blue and even though it was very cold, it was lovely and sunny. Thanks Dorothy! xx
I was thinking this afternoon when I took the dog for a walk it’s your posting day. Fantastic scenery and that shot of the boat breaking through the ice looked amazing, very cold but amazing! Martin hope you are feeling much better soon, no fun being ill but unfortunately it is the time of year for man flu. Have a wonderful week both
Thanks Edward, Martin is feeling a lot better. It must have been man flu, as I didn’t get it! Lol 😂 So pleased you enjoyed the video, that mooring was beautiful xx
hi to you both. Thank you for another brilliant video and what a fantastic mooring with great views. Loved the drone scenes at the beginning of your video. Stay safe and warm. xx
Hi Joan, thank you, so pleased you enjoyed the drone footage, it really was a stunning mooring, hope we get to stop there on the way back in a couple of months time xx
Great vlog guys as always lovely views again this week hope Martin feels better soon and you don't get it nice to see you get shopping and hope you fix trolley or get another one for next shop I know Martin is ill but he fired no horn this week bad boy lol I suppose its diesel run next week for heaters stay warm and see you next week
Hi Nicholas, d’you know, we didn’t realise there was no hooter in this vlog!! But a little secret, keep watching, it’s either the next one or the one after, you’ll like it!! Not so good for me lol, but if you like the hooter you’ll definitely like it! 🤫 Thanks Nicholas xx
Lovely video what scenery with the sun out looks lovely but very cold love the camera along the water we have a trolley like that for magnet fishing going on Sunday been my birthday take care both of you xx 😊
Hi Bob, the wheels have got permanent rivets, not nuts and bolts, so can’t be replaced unfortunately. Next time, we’ll go for one with wider wheels that will be able to cope better with the uneven muddy towpaths. It is a shame, as the rest of the cart is still in good condition. Thanks Bob! xx
Aww thank you Dawn, Martin is feeling a lot better now and thankfully it didn’t pass on to me, so we can only assume it must have been man-flu lol 😜 Thanks Dawn! xx
Hi David, we would love to, but the wheels are riveted in so cannot be removed or replaced. It’s such a shame as there’s nothing else wrong with the trolley. We’ll have a look to see if we can , but doesn’t look as though we can replace the wheels 🤷♀️ Thanks David! xx
@@Dahlienliebe That’s great, I just looked it up and we are on the Leicester section (at Foxton Locks) so you should be able to follow where we are on there! Brilliant! Thanks Uwe xx

Really Fine Vlog! I really enjoy seeing all the do dad's an thingamabobs Martin comes up with to make boating easier!. the birds are adorable!
Hi Steve, lol yes, we do like a gadget or two haha. Thank you! xx

We learn new English terminology every episode, such as "lurgy," for which we are very thankful to Google 😂
lol, so glad there’s google 😂😂🤣 Thank you! xx
Feeling rough on the water is better than feeling rough in a lorry cab I should think Martin!
Yep! And he doesn’t miss the lorry life one bit, even though the boat is 58 foot long instead of 40 foot lol 😂 Thanks Richard, hope you’re well xx
All good thanks. Enjoying the videos. I've got some catching up to do!@@JulieandMartinonRIB
In joy watching from Tennessee USA
Oh wow, thank you so much! xx
Absolutely brilliant, thank you both, for taken us all along on the beautiful canals of GB.🙏✝️🙏🇨🇦

We haven't decided on whether or not we like those stern covers that resemble boots 😂. What do you guys think? Think you'll ever get one for Rhapsody?
Hiya, no, our boat is a trad stern, so wouldn’t have a pram cover, they are for cruiser and semi-trad sterns that have a lot of outside space, ours only has a small area at the back, so no need and would probably look wrong lol, thanks! xx
@JulieandMartinonRIB yes, why mess with perfection 👌🏾 Rhapsody is the most stunning narrowboat we have seen on these videos yet.
Aww that’s so kind of you to say! xx

Love the aerials. The countryside is gorgeous and it is a beautiful day and cruise even if it's cold and windy.

Curious. Who built the boat you bought? Looks lovely by the way.
Hi Chris, our boat is a G J Reeves hull and fitted out by Crown Boats in 2004, so she’s 20 years old this year! Thank you so much xx
Like it. Whats the name of your Canel Book you shown. Kind regards from Germany
Hi Uwe, the map books we use are the J.M. Pearson & Son books, they are very easy to follow. Thank you so much xx
I recently bought 'Birmingham and the Heart of England' to follow my favourite Narowboaters. I hope that wasn't wrong.
