That was the 1st ever machine I bought for $800 bucks with my lawn mowing money back in 1992. Oh the memories Started flooding back once I heard yours running because mine sounded the exact same!!
I have an 83 and an 84 ATC 70 and man do I love them, great for just putting around the property with a cold one lol, the fact that those tanks aren’t beat up and rusty is a reason to hang on to em
Love watching you revive these older machines. I've owned or ridden every Honda ATC made. The 200's are by far the best of the bunch. Work horses, that just keep going. We have 2 that we use on the hunting property. Never been torn down or rebuilt. We've discussed selling them and getting something newer. But, for what little we have into them and the reliability, it's a no-brainer. Keep them until they blow up, or we can't find parts.
Unbelievable I can’t even find an 80 cc two stroke for under 500 bucks not running for a project and you get all sorts of crazy deals. But I love the channel 👍
You just gotta look literally everywhere lol, last summer I got a great deal on a 85 kx250 that I'm restoring for $700 in pieces but mostly needed new piston and rings, but had a nice usable cylinder and the best part was it came with a 2000 kx250 loe 2 Vin motor that is supposed to be a special motor that only racers could buy,I'm not sure but that's what I found out
Oh niceee. I can’t wait to see what the kx looks like when it’s finished. I myself have a prestine 86 quadracer garaged all it’s life very little surface rust. Mostly stock. I grew up in the 80s with many three andfour wheelers and it’s nice to see you getting a lot of the old school stuff and fixing it up that’s what I like about the channel the most 👍👍👍
I put a big gun on my 200, gave it bit of thump. Great sound. Just hot staple plastics and epoxy over the cracks, fixes nicely. Great vids dude, really jucks the memory, sad times, so miss mine she was reliable and total blast.
My grandparents had 2 of these on the farm. We use to ride the hell out of them. Most unsafe thing I’ve ever been on but a hell of a good time as well.
I had this exact ATC as a kid. Some of the best fun I’ve ever had. If my dad wasn’t home to start it, sometimes I would get lucky by using the decompressor lever and pulling it. If that didn’t work I would gather my buddies and push start it. Semi-auto all gears down. Still have a scar over my eye to remind me of this beast. 😅 cheers 🍻
These things were so much fun to ride, we took them over to the beach there used to be many 3 wheelers that went over there. Figure 8's, these 2 story bowls that you could get into and race around, there was a stand of gnarled trees with a tunnel cut through them just big enough for a three wheeler. We raced these things, they were too much fun. You had to take a corner and force your weight to the outside rather than leaning inside it took a while to get used to riding them but good lord what a blast.
I appreciate the videos. Just bought this exact one. Mines an 86. Bought it for 500. Running and all that. Just need to install a new front brake cable and a new seat cover. Little shit.
Runs like a honda, needle and seat leaks a bit but it sounds good. Be safe, dont put foot down ever while riding. Really miss my old one. Looked just like that S. Giant tires and all. Great job!!
lol I own both those machines 83 atc 200 and 84 200s, wish you had the 25" on the rear for that top speed run. Anyway great video as always man! Love these Honda trikes!
11:57, recoils are so east and simple to rebuild, I guess the first go around it could be a bit stressful, but IMO they are just as easy as a carb or even spark plug change….
Alot of times like can soak a pipe is gas atleast 20 minutes take it out and immediately put a lighter to it. Do that enough time along with a few taps with a hammer in between most of everything will brake loose
Sweet!! You should keep on finding em and start a nice collection...!! They are mint!! They don't make em like that anymore!! They are high dollar collectors
For sure if mine ever sat a little without running i almost always yanked the carb and did a quick clean just the slight amount of debri and they were sensitive but hey easy to clean and no problem 20-30 back and running also I did air box delete and just a k&n so pulling carb was way quicker
Love those Honda 3 wheelers easy to work on and near indestructible the exhaust is definitely bad on them I would put aftermarket cobra exhaust they were less then $150 sounded good light weight eliminated that build up as I had one that burned oil and the pipe would be nasty but they were easy to remove and burn the oil out of it …
It's the ride that is dangerous,I know,I was on all the atcs that I have owned, didn't get any injuries, but I definitely have been injured on dirt bikes and quads
You'll be rebuilding that pull start because price for replacement on eBay will make you fall over. That dang things worth more in.parts then in one piece. My 87 trx125 pull start if I could fix was about 200. I fixed mine lol
@@tayscarsandbikes1161 I'm not impressed. But I've done it for 50 years . He has a lot to learn I don't care what any of you say you got to slow down and clean this stuff up
Hey Joe nice video I knew you would get it running you're awesome working on these stuff what about you selling one if so I'm in Iowa so how much would it cost to part with one. I've been interested in buying a three wheeler just not many around Waterloo for sale. Well keep up the good work and peace out brother. God bless you and your family peace out.
If the vin sticker is 83 its a 185s the base of the cylinder should have 182cc I believe cast into it , as you've probably seen on other makes/models....the 200s is a 192cc... atc 200s started in 84 185s ended in 83. Unless someone was monkeying with it and it's not oem anymore
great finds man, wish i could find stuff like this for those prices in my area but it isn't possible hear as everyone has cone covid price crazy for everything now, even asking thousands of dollars for old junk that should be sent to the dump
Same here. People want $4,000 for a 1985 350X 3 wheel that's been sitting for 20 years in a shed looks like shit missing parts. Guy posted a Warrior recently needed tires, brakes, tune up wanted $3,500 firm plastic was broken in spots

I have a 1980 atc 110, no spark. When I put my finger down the boot I get shocked so I know there's power coming through the wires but i'm not getting spark from the spark plug. What could be the problem, not enough power through the wires? weak alternator? ignition coil?
Hay Joe love these vids having issue with a Chinese 125cc road bike . Won't start . Has good spark and fuel .. got a feeling carb is clogged or could it b exhaust

Just bought one for $500 yesterday from my lawn mowing money haha.
45mph on an old ATC with no rear brake, front wheel wobble, and bent bars…you sir are braver than I lol
That's how we grew up in the 80s when those things were new. They were janky off the showroom floor 😁
Stupid does not = brave.

Dude caustic soda potato in one end fill it up leave 24 hours lovely clean pipe😇
Thats a steal! in Germany if you can find one with registration you have to pay around 5-6000 USD. Best rgds
Needs cam chain tightened carb cleaned adjusted. Check intake exhaust valves

Those old 3 wheelers are a blast
pretty cool hearing the robins and cardinal in the back ground!
MY uncle had one of these when I was a kid I was 3 yrs old when this one came out .these are tanks
Makes me miss my old 200m.great find.
Loved that thing, popped first pull every time. Drove the wheels off it.
Love the birds in the background!

To me I like three wheels. Both of my kids learned on an ATC 70 starting at 5 years old and progressed from there. They are both adults now.
Maybe you said it. Got to align the handle bar and headlight 😀
Keep up the great work joe! Loving the success
What a great deal, I paid $700 hundred for an 84 200m and had to do a lot more work to it.

I would put them on BaT, where these have been bringing crazy money.

You should compression test before putting oil in the cylinder since it bumps compression up
Sweet. Currently working on an atc200s 1984 model aswell
Nice pick up, I want to find one for a steal like this and fix it up, 3 wheelers are door for sure
Adjust the valves my buddy's xr200r had that same issue with the backfires after I adjusted his valves ot ran so much better
use regular vise grips when you can. always work better than needle style.
Man I love those old 3wheelers. I had a 200s same bike I had.
I had a 125 and my bud a big red. Both 1984. This was in 1986. They took us all over town and outran our poor police men into the hills 😅
Head gasket leaking already I remember these had several. Fix them up and sell them!

You got some nice 3-wheeler's👍🏼👍🏼
I'm far from a fan of Honda but them out Honda engines are tried and true
Where can I find part 1 to this video? Can you start linking them in description? Love your videos btw 👍
nice that they were both runners, not into hardtails but I would have bought them to flip
Nice compression, wondering if its got newer top end.

Sort those horrible handlebars out ffs!
A bit of work with a scaffolding pole will straighten them right out!😀
Definitely a great deal on those bud
With the stock tires and no wobble u should get right around 55mph out of her mine did anyways
Joe I'd take one end of that muffler and cut it off and clean it the rite way .
Good job what you use to shine the plastics
The plastics look like better quality material than new bikes
