Those old Honda three wheelers are indestructible, my buddy had a big red 250 when we were kids, we beat the hell out of it for years and it never gave up, it would start first pull dead of winter. My cousin has a 185s I think it is and it’s literally been seized, we unstuck it by jamming it in gear at speed and now it runs again, just smokes a little. These truly are built to last. And when I say we abused these machines, we put countless hours in them mud riding, jumping, drifting and occasionally rolling them, they were flooded with water multiple times and yet they never died
Goon riding up north now that you say that you’re right, it was a 200 ES. His dad had a big red 250 that we weren’t allowed to touch lol. That must have been what confused me

Its been awhile but I had a 1984, 200cc might have been a 250cc? Big Red. It was 4stroke, 5spd with auto-clutch, drum brakes, solid rear axle shaft driven. It was indestructible. It would run about 55mph and was a handful!
I love 3 wheelers. I've owned a few over the years. My buddy owned a 200m that sat in his backyard for years exposed to the elements. We got the bright idea one day to see if we could get it going. Well....that old bike fired up on about 3 pulls of the starter cord. Those old Hondas were awesome.
This made me so happy to see. I grew up riding a honda atc 110 . Rode that thing everywhere and often in the river. Still runs and rides to this day.....but maybe with a broken frame and destroyed rear wheel bearings from riding her on two wheels. Great vid man. Brings back great memories of the 200es my brother had back in the 80s. He’d let me drive it with him on it, all around my grandmas property and in the woods. In the winter we’d tie a sled behind it and go bombing around. Mom wasn’t too happy when we came back and we had not only worn holes thru the sled but my snow pants too.
Way back in 1976, I was an enterprising young man in the 8th grade and I bought me an ATC90. It had the two speed gear box but not enough oomph to use it. I loved that damn thing.

Only had to replace the bottom piston heads, the two con rods, the carb, and one exhaust valve and the electrical system of course. started up and ran.
Gotta love these old Honda’s. My barn burnt down years ago and my big red 250 was in it. The plastics melted off and the cdi melted with some of the harness, but I put a new cdi, rewired it and a set of plastics and it still runs and rides today. Gotta love it.

As an 80s kid, I can remember how ATCs were always lots of fun, but also how they're super dangerous! It definitely sorted out who was brave/silly enough to drive them from people that like to keep them rubber-side-down! You were almost guaranteed to tip, roll over or flip over backwards, if you: -turn too sharp -throttle too much while turning -throttle OFF too quickly while turning -lean not enough -lean too much -sudden traction loss on one wheel -sudden traction grab on one wheel -attempt any sort of doughnuts -bounce unevenly (especially the hard forked models) -hit any sort of rock, tree, log -have tires unevenly pressuirzed -tire pops -rear swing arm mount fractures (common as they age) -you look at it funny -you say, "Hey, watch this!" -you sneeze within 10 feet a running ATC -you change gear up hill -you change gear down hill -you change gear on slope -try any sort of burn out -hit the front brakes too hard -lock up the rear brakes rolling backward -lock up the rear brakes rolling forward -drive in loose sand -drive in water BUT STILL will have lots of fun in most cases!
Those 80's Honda engines were great. I had a few in ATVs and put them through hell. Never an issue, always started and ran great. Awesome collab! Edit...WAY too much air in those tires.
We had a Honda ATC back in the early 80s. My younger brother crashed it one fine summer day and broke his collarbone. My dad promptly ordered us to get rid of it. We had some fun on it for sure. Great fun in those Minnesota winters.

Old Honda ATC's just wont die. God I wish I could have gotten my grandfathers 250es when he passed away. Grandmother was going to give it to me but didnt have a vehicle to transport it or a place to keep it at the time.

I wish I could pick up one of those for a couple of hundred dollars. Where I am guys are looking 1000+ for rough enough ones. I can always tell when they start their ads with "rare" and end their ads with "I know what I have".... Yeah you have an old, beat up Honda 3 wheeler.
my brother traded a 1987 dodge ram for one. the axle was slightly bent and body was beat up, but it did run like a dream. sold it to a guy for 500$, and the guy wanted the motor out of it because he had another one that had a good body but a bad motor.

I had an ATC 90. An ATC 110. And later an ATC 70. I used to commute on my 90 to work in a shop. And I’d be on 2 wheels and wheelie and this guy used to call me Evel kinevel. I actually like the 90 better than the 110. The 70 will definitely haul a grown man no problem. When my son was little I would pull him on a saucer and turn real quick with nylon tow strap and he would whip around enduringly in front of the front tire. We did it over and over til I thought the engine would overheat. Good thing it was very cold and the snow was packed.
Had the 200 series myself. Used to ride on the beach in FL. Cause it has three wheels, ive rolled it enough to bend the rear wheels, but it started even when the frame was rotted out. Greatest Hondas motor ever built went into these ATC.
Wow, there's a blast from the past. My grandfather bought one of these things when they first came out. I would've been, what... ten years old? Something like that. I remember when the whole family gathered at my grandparents' place in the woods for Christmas that year, Gramp took his old snowblower and made a kind of test track out in his humongous back yard, and everyone went out and took turns crashing it. Me, my dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, I mean _every single one of us_ rolled that thing at least partway over at some point that afternoon--except my grandmother, who, being the only intelligent member of the family, refused to ride it. Amazingly, nobody got hurt, but at the end of the day Gram allowed as how maybe Gramp should think about getting rid of it. IIRC, he traded it to someone else in their tiny town for one of those cool old Ski-Doos that had the one ski and two tracks.
There's me thinking, who the heck is that with Kevin? Then I hook my peepers that sweet , sweet "Miami Vice - Magnum PI shirt", so of course it's gotta be Derek! LOL!
The way an old Honda can be neglected and abused, only to be revived and abused some more is just mind bottling! I just love bringing new life to old fun!
I used one like that around the farm(early-mid 80's) to haul small trailer worked out well, upgraded to four-wheeler for safety. Two favorites together in one video. Cool.
I can't tell you how many times I've run over my own foot on those trikes when they were new in the mid 80's. I love seeing them and would have had a better opinion of them had I not ruined it for myself.
lmfao you literally can't kill those honda from back in the day... I know I had a Honda 300 fourtrax. You could drive it like a tank and it just wouldn't die no matter what you did with it... drive it in a river have it die and leave it in there for a week like my cousin did to it.... drag it out change the oil and drain the water and fires right back up.....
My uncle had a Fourtrax 300, he got into it with one of his brothers, and long story short it got ran over with an excavator or something like that. Damn thing still ran and drove after.
Was a really fun day! Gotta come down and run that river again 🤘🤘

-turn too sharp

-lean too much
-sudden traction loss on one wheel

My Uncle has the same one. It has been farm worked and sand dune played since it was new. Still runs like a dream!
11:50 you haven’t seen whistling diesels 3 wheeler.
My two favorite UA-camrs junkyard digs and Vice grip garage
Kevin's so talented he was able to convert his honda into a two stroke
Dogepugs 2006 best conversion ever
The way an old Honda can be neglected and abused, only to be revived and abused some more is just mind bottling!
I just love bringing new life to old fun!
That axle is brokerlated can be fixalated
I used one like that around the farm(early-mid 80's) to haul small trailer worked out well, upgraded to four-wheeler for safety. Two favorites together in one video. Cool.
I can't tell you how many times I've run over my own foot on those trikes when they were new in the mid 80's.
I love seeing them and would have had a better opinion of them had I not ruined it for myself.
I know. You put your foot down in a turn or to catch your self and it drags you off by your leg and runs over you lol. Didn't it couple times
Nice seeing you and Derek doing a revive together.
lmfao you literally can't kill those honda from back in the day... I know I had a Honda 300 fourtrax. You could drive it like a tank and it just wouldn't die no matter what you did with it... drive it in a river have it die and leave it in there for a week like my cousin did to it.... drag it out change the oil and drain the water and fires right back up.....
I have a 93 fourtrax 4x4 drive it all the time no leaks no burn anything just awesome
@@sinjin90ful mine was a red 88.. same year I was born. I loved that thing to death... sadly I had to sell it when I went to college.
My uncle had a Fourtrax 300, he got into it with one of his brothers, and long story short it got ran over with an excavator or something like that. Damn thing still ran and drove after.
@@justinstearns9723 Funny thing is. I believe it.. Those little things were literal tanks. So well built haha.
Hondas are indestructible. Skulls, shoulders and collar bones are not. Cool show. Great to see Derek.
