      When we took the NXR out on our road test, we found it was 103dB, so only slightly louder than the RPHA 11 Carbon. Though on the flip side of this, the NXR did do slightly better for ventilation, being 1 degree cooler than the exterior.

      Hi Aaron, in this situation, the best thing to consider would be what balance of sport and touring riding you plan on doing. While the K6 will lend itself best to touring with a more upright position and noise isolation, the RPHA 11 Carbon will be focused on aerodynamics and sport performance.

      So far, both the GT Air 2 and the HJC RPHA 70 are among the two quietest helmets we have tested so far, performing with about 97 dB of noise out on the road. So, the the GT Air 2 should be quieter than the RPHA 11 Carbon. You can also check out how the Shoei helmet performs on the road against its competitors here: ua-cam.com/video/oQtOhG7XP-s/v-deo.html

      @@heibaimao Definitely a tough decision between the HJC and Shoei. As far as the visors, the Transition visor does make a difference, and you can even pick it up on our site at a nice discount in a bundle with the X-Spirit 3. this or the agv k6? Which is better in visibility and noise isolation? comfort?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  3 роки тому

      As far as noise isolation, the AGV K6 came out quieter at 101 dB. And though both offered a fantastic field of view, the RPHA 11 Carbon was more comfortable.
      The main aspect to consider would be whether you plan on doing more riding in a forward positioning, in which case the RPHA would be better, or riding across a range of positions, where the K6's higher brow will offer you an improved field of view.

      @@xNichelzZxHD Between the two helmets, we found the RPHA 70 Carbon performed the best out on the road with strong ventilation, noise isolation, and comfort. As a result, the helmet came in second place in our sport-touring test for 2021(ua-cam.com/video/5j1wOUIB-c8/v-deo.html&pbjreload=101) since it came in second only to the Shoei GT Air 2. only 3/5 stars in SHARP? A bit disappointed here. Could you guys recommend a couple safe helmets?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  3 роки тому +1

      It is definitely an unfortunate ranking from SHARP that we also see in other RPHA series helmets. Within the same price range as the RPHA 11 Carbon you may also want to take a look at the Arai Chaser-X, Scorpion EXO R1 Air, Shoei NXR, and the X-Lite X-803 RS Ultra Carbon.
      The Arai Chaser-X earned 4/5 stars from SHARP and comes with Arai's safety focused construction with a round outer shell shape. The X-Lite, though not tested by SHARP is designed as a racing helmet and has even undergone additional rotational impact testing, which is also a great extra feature to see. For Scorpion, though the R1 Air has also not been tested, it too is a race helmet and they generally have a good set of SHARP scores. Lastly, the NXR is also a strong helmet earning 4/5 SHARP stars.
      When considering helmet safety one of the most important factors is to also check how the helmet fits and feels, since regardless of the number of SHARP stars, the helmet needs to comfortably stay on your head.
      Thanks for the question!

      @@Championhelmets i didnt have the chance to test it on the road but it felt quite tight and also comfy when i wore it. Also it really surprised me in terms of noise cancellation. Overall i was about to buy it before checking the SHARP results... Do you really think its an important determining factor?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  3 роки тому +1

      @@giannismanual The ideal scenario would be finding a helmet that fits comfortably and has a high SHARP score. Since, for example, a helmet with a high SHARP score but a poor fit won't protect you as well as a low SHARP score helmet with a good fit. This is also mentioned on SHARP's website. It ultimately comes down to what you feel comfortable riding with as far as fit vs SHARP ratings (though a higher SHARP score is always best).

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  3 роки тому +1

      The main question to consider between the two helmets would be to look at what sort of riding you plan on doing. While the RPHA 11 is best suited to sport riding (which means a focus on ventilation and aerodynamics) with a more forward positioning, the RPHA 70 is better suited for touring or commuting (which also means better noise isolation) and will be better for more upright riding.

    • @Championhelmets

      @@toshkenberg The fit of the two helmets should be broadly similar since they are intermediate oval, though our rider did find the i70 was noticeable tighter than the RPHA 70. Unfortunately, the Pista GP RR, is heavier than the RPHA 11 Carbon, since in an MS the Pista weighs about 1480 grams while it came in at about 1570 in an ML. This likely comes down to the extra features such as the hydration system in the helmet and that the helmet is FIM homologated. Thanks for the question!
