I'm Moved in! Scouted the Hiwassee State Park briefly and got a "Wild" rainbow! Only 35 minutes from my house! In NJ, had to drive 1 1/2 hours or longer for good trout water....
Quick question if you don’t mind. With the extended forecast calling for rain do you think the river will be too high in a couple of weeks? Don’t want to make the trek from Indy if it’s gonna blow out or be too high to not catch anything. Thanks!
When you swing, at the end of your drift youll pull your rod, causing those flies to rise up from the bottom making them look like they’re emerging to the surface:
@@TheTroutGuy1 What kind if licensing fees are there to fish in Tennessee, looks like you are the closest place for a Kentuckian to get some solid fly fishing in?
I’ve fished the Citico Creek area for 2 years now with not much success. (Only spin fishing with rooster tails, rapalas, etc.). Because of your videos I’m going to try out fly fishing the Tellico River area past Bald River Falls this weekend. Any recommendations on flies to use this time of year?
They’re going to stock a lot of trout this Thursday and Friday. So I’d use a lot of “junk food” pheasant tails always work. Might have some wild trout looking up on the wild streams. Pats rubber legs etc. just experiment! Goodluck man.
Thanks for watching, honestly ive improved my trout handling over the years and ive watched the video and dont really see a part where im handling the fish in a bad way. Ive been pinching my barbs since this video, sometimes i forget. But I will improve!

Nice catches boys!
Great day buddy! Congrats on getting your guide license.
Thanks Bryan! Hopefully I can get more people into fly fishing!
Oh I'm sure you will.

Not to sure honestly. If you shoot me a comment about a week before you come down I can check the rivers and forecast and let you know 100%.
Thanks, so nice of you. I’ll get back to you in a week or so.
@@jongerard-ql9zo for sure man.
Another great video. Gonna be on the Tellico in a couple of weeks. Hope to see you there!
Thanks Jon, I’m sure we’ll cross paths eventually.

What did you mean by swinging it? or on the swing?

Nobody eat their fish anymore? Or is all CAR in these streams?
It was delayed harvest at the time of recording

Thanks man!
Been wanting to hit this water up for quite a while now and can never seem to make it out that way, looks great!
It’s pretty awesome!
Enjoy watching your videos. I'm just starting to learn to fly fish. What kind of fly rod do use? I'm thinking of a 9' 5 weight?
Yes, that’ll work. I use a 9foot 4weight. Because I fish for smaller trout sometimes
What do you charge for guiding and you guide on the Watauga
I don’t guide on the watauga unfortunately
@@TheTroutGuy1 what rivers do you guide on I’m in East Tennessee
Clinch is fire right now,
Gatlinburg
Tellico
Love. your videos but the way you handle fish is terrible. Why don't you pinch your barb?

Nice footage Dude! Moving to Tennessee this month! I am an avid fly fisherman! What river is this? Tellico?
It is, thanks for watching
