i know I'm 2 months late but knowing what we know now about snape being able to read minds and potentially have been doing it the entire series is kinda wild
I’m loving the podcast! Such a fun deep dive. But most of all thank you so much for turning me on to The Name of the Wind! I’d love to hear some theories on that series you may have. Any chance of that happening in the future!?
HEY BROTHER! So we know that Harry is descended from Ignotus Peverell and Tom is descended from Cadmus through the Gaunts. Something that's been bothering me lately is that, from my admittedly limited Harry Potter experience, Cadmus and Ignotus seem to have more in common with each other than they do with their brother Antioch. Most of this comes from your own theories, like how Cadmus probably made the Mirror of Erised as a precursor to the Resurrection Stone and Ignotus probably made the Pensieve before he made the Invisibility Cloak, but then there's the Veil, which is probably the bridge they met death on. Did Antioch build it before he made the Elder Wand or did the brothers make it together like they did in the legend? For that matter, should the Elder Wand even count as a Deathly Hallow since it has to brothers or are the three wands together the Hallow and Antioch made all three? And why do we know of Cadmus and Ignotus's descendants, but not Antioch's? On that topic, Iggy and the Cad both had their Hallows to pass down to said descendants, but Anty's was stolen off his corpse! But then I thought, maybe Luna? and things started to make a little more sense. Maybe, if Ante the Ox had descendants, they passed down a warning. A warning that turned into a legend about three brothers. A story which teaches you to be humble and respect death, and an encouragement to spread the story. (Like, say, in a magazine?) And, not for nothing, Luna is the only one other than Harry who can hear the Veil and see thestrals, but not only that, she even rides and feeds them! (At least in the movie.) Heck! Maybe the Veil can only be heard by the Peverell line!? Does anyone in the Order of the Phoenix talk about the Veil post-Sirius-death? So Ben and J, my question is, is it possible that the Lovegoods are the long-lost descendants of Antioch Peverell?!
1:30:04 I'm guessing that in Hogwarts there's probably a no flying in the school grounds rule kind of like how in our scchools we had the "no running in the halls".
Perhaps the reason that Filch can sense stuff from Mrs. Norris when he doesn't have a magical bone in his body is more down to Mrs. Norris rather than him. What if she used to be a witch in the same Nagini used to be a witch.
When Lockhart tries to erase their memory he is intendingto fully erase their memories and he is using his most powerful spell, the one he has perfected, he received back exactly the spell he intended, not a powerful version of it
6:15 So… how does he tell the *chasers* about the surprise practice? 16:14 I thought of that for OotP and HBP, but actually it is explained what that method is: talking Patroni 1:32:35 So this is where Harry learns the important fact that he remembers all the way to sixth year, that ghosts are transparent. 2:28:02 I thought we *did* know, from Hogwarts Mystery, that he died before the 1942. 2:35:22 The professors call each other by first name all the time. At one point in GoF, Dumbledore addresses “Alastor” and Harry takes a bit to realize that “Mad-Eye” is probably not Prof. Moodyʼs real first name. 2:38:10 Iʼm surprised to hear you say that. Nothing in *canon* says that none of the Unforgivables have counters (only AK), but it is common fanon. Which, fair enough, *except* that you have had _Protego_ protect people from the Cruciatus in your what if series. So if youʼre allowing them to be blocked I donʼt see why now you think thatʼs a dividing line. 3:21:40 Myrtle has been seen to manipulate liquids before; I thought she had flooded the bathroom, because she was upset from Peeves teasing her. And this is what allowed Mrs. Norris to survive; if Peeves had been slightly less mean that day then Mrs. Norris would have been dead.
3:03:00 You know what, I bet it's "unknown" because the founders could never agree on what point the school counted as "founded". When it was built? When the castle's enchantments were done? When the first semester began? When it was unvieled to prospective students?
Hey Super Bros, I love what you guys do here, I wanted to bring to your attention some details that would be consistent with your pre-existing Theory about Slytherin's locket. If Sal' sealed the knowledge of the chamber and the identity of the monster in the locket with the Fidalius Charm, then the note in the Locket becomes the secret keeper, The knowledge is protected and Mertal can't actually tell anyone asking how she died, because Voldemort is the secret keeper now, she CAN tell Harry, which she does do later, because Harry is a Horcrux, anywho Love the show, excited to see what connections you make moving forward.
The extra ower of the invisibility cloak, someone suspected he was in one place, and tried to use accio (no idea how is written) but nothing happened, so it is probably also immune to magic, Moody might be one loophole since the eye wouldn't affect the cape
Regarding the oddity of the naming convention for the Nimbus 2000 coming out in 1991 - SimCity 2000 came out in 1993. The whole Product 2000 naming convention was popular throughout the 90s. Doesn't the Order communicate with their patronus?. Kingsley sent his patronus to bill's wedding to tell them that the Ministry had fallen. Snape used his patronus to lead the the boys to the sword of griffindor. The only time any one speaks to a picture of Dumbledore is when they are talking to his portrait after he died.
The only time we see someone communicate with a patronus before dumbledore dies is when tonks sends for Hagrid in year six. So maybe dumbledore being dead stops that method. However when Harry sees Arthur get attacked dumbledore doesn't use a patronus or a picture but Fawkes to send messages to Molly and later to Harry Sirius and the Weasley kids
Binns is definitely a ghost teacher in Hogwarts Legacy, take that cannon as you will, but I love the idea that Dumbledore had him as a teacher and still let him teach

2:01:47 I mean I'm Christian and while our "sad funeral" comes out of the Christian tradition I have to say that's not my experience esp if its an older person. Most funerals I've been to are quite joyful where people are laughing and celebrating the fact that the person who died is now in Heaven joining their Savior Jesus Christ and the saints (the rest of us Christians) along with any family member who died before such as parents or siblings (again more common if its someone whos a senior)

I'm quite a bit late to the party on this one but considering how PNB is able to travel between his portraits with the trio and in the headmasters office in Deathly Hallows I think it's highly likely that all pictures of someone are the same "being" so to speak. Since there are probably hundreds if not thousands of pictures of dumbledore, it seems unlikely he'd remain in any one spot for long.
I don’t know if you guys have done a theory about this yet, but can you do a theory as to why Harry can see snakes blink? Snakes don’t have eyelids so it’s impossible for them to blink. Maybe it has to do with the fact that he can speak Parseltongue and is able to form a more one on one relationship with the snakes making them more “human”?
Regarding Filch and a lack of the Pepper Up potion working on him. Muggles and wizards are different on a physiological (and I'm going to say biological) level. It's why wizards can live naturally longer than muggles. Baring in mind that magic is on a genetic level (blood lines and all that) it stands to reason that potions may not work on non magical people (including squibs) because they have no magic in them for anything that has magical properties to to work with in their body.
My headcannon for why the Gryffindor team was one down when Harry was in the hospital wing Year 1 and couldn't get McClaggen was because he was in his insecurity phase. And by Year 6, he was in hid macho man phase.
So my guess with Mrs. Norris is the cat's tail was curled like when a cat sees something interesting its tail twitches and the tail was in the perfect hanging position which Ginny then uses to hang her.
It’s really funny that the thing you don’t buy of witchcraft is the ritual aspect which if you look into what people call witchcraft in our world is a big part of many (not all) practitioners magick
I do also wonder what is filchs job really... There's a scene in the train where Nevilles plant squirts disgusting stuff everywhere... book 5, i think... ginny cleans it up with scourgify... im wondering why the kids didn't just learn a few spells... but then they're not allowed to do magic in the hallways, so he's basically made a rod for his own back
filch, to me makes more sense as a person who was a mercy hire from some family that did a favor so large for the school and needed a less than brilliant family member cared for. the favor was probably extreme so Hogwarts granted the family favor, I think poltergeist is pushing it too far, and Mrs Norris was probably his deceased parents kind last favor to him. makes a simpler explanation. tho I guess since none of us are the author, its all speculation. sigh. thanks for this new podcast, its been fun.
Question: I wonder, if Slytherin thought, his heir would be a girl, and thus put the entrance to the chamber in the girls toilett OR if, back then, only boys were allowed in Hogwards (because education for girls wasn't a thing) and ALL toiletts were boys toiletts. Only when girls started to go to school in Hogwards, they made some of the toiletts for girls and the one with the entry to the Chamber HAPPEND to be one of them, making it even harder for male heirs to find it. OR Slytherin thought, girls would NEVER come looking for the entrance in the boys toiletts, boys on the otherhand would look in the girls toiletts. What do you think?
Omg just realised. Myrtle died because she would have taken the glasses off because she would be crying in the bathroom. Therefore glasses would have probably protected her and therefore Harry would also be safe from the stare (although Voldemort would just have the basilisk feast on his flesh then)
Having mind that students are the ones guessing that there is a connection between Miss Noris and Filtch, and that hear say from the eyes of Harry is the bases of your Polterguist theory, and chapter 9, doesn't make you rethinking it, because i do think that this Dumbledor giving him a home, but because he is a horrible person he gives him a horrible job.
Crazy thought, but does it seem like Percy is almost working toward being an Umbridge, before he finally grows a clue, rather late in the series? So wants to fit in at the ministry that he loses sight of whats important for a bit.
I really made an honest try to watch this 3.5 hour long video. I listened for 20 minutes and I am so sorry but I fell asleep twice. Hahaaa Maybe I will try another day ?!!
I'd say that it's not that Halloween is cursed, but maybe Halloween exists because that day was cursed and eventually with bad things always happening that day, with time, people started believing in that day as Halloween, so basically the curse was the origin of the Halloween day.

It’s really funny that the thing you don’t buy of witchcraft is the ritual aspect which if you look into what people call witchcraft in our world is a big part of many (not all) practitioners magick
I do also wonder what is filchs job really... There's a scene in the train where Nevilles plant squirts disgusting stuff everywhere... book 5, i think... ginny cleans it up with scourgify... im wondering why the kids didn't just learn a few spells... but then they're not allowed to do magic in the hallways, so he's basically made a rod for his own back
could you as an animagus become a basilisk (sorry if I spelt it wrong) ?
filch, to me makes more sense as a person who was a mercy hire from some family that did a favor so large for the school and needed a less than brilliant family member cared for. the favor was probably extreme so Hogwarts granted the family favor, I think poltergeist is pushing it too far, and Mrs Norris was probably his deceased parents kind last favor to him. makes a simpler explanation. tho I guess since none of us are the author, its all speculation. sigh. thanks for this new podcast, its been fun.
I’ll write the teddy fanfic and send it over in email!

Omg just realised. Myrtle died because she would have taken the glasses off because she would be crying in the bathroom. Therefore glasses would have probably protected her and therefore Harry would also be safe from the stare (although Voldemort would just have the basilisk feast on his flesh then)
how did the game happen with a player short at all?
Maybe a House Elf collects and reads all the HW to Prof Binds🤷🤷🤷
Wasn't the water on the floor there because Myrtle was sulking after Peeves teased her at the party?
Having mind that students are the ones guessing that there is a connection between Miss Noris and Filtch, and that hear say from the eyes of Harry is the bases of your Polterguist theory, and chapter 9, doesn't make you rethinking it, because i do think that this Dumbledor giving him a home, but because he is a horrible person he gives him a horrible job.
Crazy thought, but does it seem like Percy is almost working toward being an Umbridge, before he finally grows a clue, rather late in the series? So wants to fit in at the ministry that he loses sight of whats important for a bit.
wood was a captin which gives him the same status as prefects that's how he was able to get the girls
I really made an honest try to watch this 3.5 hour long video.
I listened for 20 minutes and I am so sorry but I fell asleep twice. Hahaaa
Maybe I will try another day ?!!
wasnt barty crouch jr. a ravenclaw?
I'd say that it's not that Halloween is cursed, but maybe Halloween exists because that day was cursed and eventually with bad things always happening that day, with time, people started believing in that day as Halloween, so basically the curse was the origin of the Halloween day.
Columbus sailing to America is not a significant date in Britain. Dates all British people know are 1066, 1666 and the start and end of both world wars.
So are these super cuts literally just the 3 videos put together?
If so, why would I watch the super cuts if I already watched the individual episodes?
@@RyanBischoffPercussionI mean, isn’t that the point of super cuts? They take many things and bring them into one video. I personally really appreciate that they do this for all of their big series. Later, when I want to rewatch something like this or Dumbledore’s Big Plan I don’t have to search for the videos as much and have to hear less ads in the videos themselves. If you don’t want to watch the super cuts, you don’t have to.
@@superpotterfan7435 all I did was ask a question. I don’t get any UA-cam ads with Premium. I just didn’t know if there was like exclusive stuff to the super cuts versus individual episodes.
Naturally Filch is a poltergeist….but in essence divided
i would think maybe she didnot have her glasses on at that second due to crying but a lot of times you do see in films and tv they put there glasses on before greeting someone or something like it had i just looked down a bit i would have seen someone made this exact comment like 7-7.99 months ago
Can we get a game of thrones what if pleaseee
I feel like you guys are way to impressed by wandless magic. Other schools don't use wands. I think it's more of a european magical tradition more than a necessity.
i want to know who was using the ax, because they were not very good, also king Henry's 2nd wife requested a use of a sword for her beheading.
Yeah something I wonder is does the wizarding world have a version of GED because tech Harry Hermione and Ron all dont finish school Fred and George dont finish school and Hagrid doesn't finish school (expelled) and yet all these characters have significant jobs as adults while in our world to work at Mcdonalds as an adult u need to have ur HS diploma after I believe ur 40 or must be at the least working on ur GED.
Um brothers... Do U know how many rats it would take to sustain a snake that large? at Least 100 large rats.
I have a headcannon about the slug scene:
No, Ron didn't do it right. His wand just failed so epicly that he got it right by accident.
Wish my content was this good
Perhaps Wood had an off-page girlfriend who woke the female Quidditch players. You can't tell me that the captain of a school team does not have a girlfriend
Hi rishi

Let's like talk about like the chapter and like say "like" as often as possible...... It's akin to people's overuse of the F word. Annoying, but I love you guys too much, so I just ignore this when I can.
I didn’t even consider Percy as a suspect. Like, was that something people thought?! Am I crazy?
